159- Living in Constant Fear

**Isabella**

With eyes wide do I continue to scream. My body now freaking the fuck out as I continued to stare at four huge bulking men. My heart nearly jumping from my chest. My mind now hoping and praying that this was nothing more than a hellish dream.

Alex’s voice soon trying to grab my attention as he moves to stand directly in front of me. “Isabella? Breathe baby, breathe. What happened? Why are you suddenly spooked?”

“A… Antonio and his brothers….” I whisper, my hands now pointing to where I had last seen them. Their gaze moving to see where I was pointing at only to see nothing but sand and water, as if nobody had been standing there minutes ago.

Lucus and Grant quick to grab guns before returning with one for Tony and Alex. Alex still close to me even as Lucus, Grant and Tony each move to investigate the area. The three of them leaving the house.

“Im… Impossible. I know what I saw. They were there Alex. I swear it. I’m not lying.”

“Shh, easy baby. I believe you. Lucus and the others just went to check it out. They’ll be back shortly, just relax for me. It’ll be fine, you’ll see” coos Alex, his hand now cupping my face as he moves to kiss me softly. Alex hoping to distract me long enough until the others returned.

Ten minutes later does Lucus, Grant and Tony eventually return. Alex quick to notice them as well as me.

“Well? Any luck?”

“Fuck no. All traces of them, if any, are gone. Wherever they are, they aren’t here. Not even footprints, no sign, no anything” growls Lucus, clearly annoyed at losing site of Antonio and his brothers.

“Isabella, sweetheart. Are you sure it was them you saw and not something else?” asks Grant. My head nodding in reply. My eyes knowing what I saw.

“Yes Grant. I know what I saw. Those four faces will forever haunt me forever. Why can’t you believe me?” I cry, suddenly offended that Grant was doubting my words. Almost as if he didn’t believe the words I had spoken.

“Easy baby. I didn’t say I didn’t believe you. I was just asking to confirm it, that’s all” assures Grant. Grant hoping to calm me down as he does.

Lucus now on the phone with the guards. A house they kept about a mile or so away from the main one, which was designed to hold all the guards. The house designed with 12 bedrooms as well as a training ground and a surveillance spot. The island designed with trails to make reaching the houses easier.

Lucus quick to return once off the phone only to pull me into his arms. His presence now an anchor as I slowly move to relax. “Easy Agapi Mou (My Love). Everything’s going to be just fine, promise.”

Whimpering softly, I try to focus on Lucus. Alex quick to reply back. “Well? Did you manage to learn anything from the guys?” Lucus now tense before speaking.

“No. I’m afraid not. The surveillance was currently down in some areas. They’ve been trying to fix it. Yet, according to them, there have been zero sightings upon the island. Nor has there been any other boat present. But they assure me that they’ll begin patrolling the island regularly. No need to worry on their end.”

The now eerie feeling of being watched now rises even as I attempt to cuddle with each of my men. The rest of the day now shot as we move to sit upon the sofa and watch movies and cuddle.

The rest of the week now gone within one giant blur. Each day, my men would spend hours upon hours with me. Each one trying to distract me. Even as my mind attempted to wonder, did my men instantly notice before swooping in and using each of their cocks as a wonderful distraction to my otherwise worrying mind.

While not a single moment went by that we weren’t magically fucking the other like rabbits. And thankfully, if I was honest, my fluke sighting of Antonio, Angelo, Vincent and Lucia was simply that. A fluke. My men and I now heading for the mainland for the day.

Currently sitting upon a yacht, do my eyes soon spot a nearby town. The fresh salty air now whipping along my face. The boat eventually docking alongside multiple other boats and yachts. My eyes quick to scan over each one. The sense of someone watching me once more soon began rising like that of déjà vu.

Grant quick to collect me before I had time to stop and reflect. The five of us soon heading straight into town. The town a good mile from the boats as tourists from all around began to flock the area.

Our men soon mingling with those of the locals in an attempt to blend in, while the next few hours were spent on browsing all the shops. From sampling fresh fruits to coconut water, I was honestly having fun. More fun then I could possibly imagine.

My eyes now quick to spot a small booth. A booth that specialized in handmade jewelry. Beautiful, handcrafted pieces all laying out for me to view. Each piece a unique piece of art as I move to scan over each leather bracelet. A perfect gift for everyone back home including my men. The material thick and sturdy with beautiful runes etched along the material.

The designs unique and drew your attention.

Eager to buy every last piece does Alex move to talk to the woman. His hand now giving her a huge stack of bills for all four hundred and some pieces that she had. The woman and her husband both shocked yet awed as they both move to hold back tears as they now had enough money to feed their entire family.

The lady happily telling me that we just helped them in providing food for their family. The thought heart warming to me even as the woman asked us to wait. A curious expression soon rising even as the lady reappears only seconds later.

Seconds in which I instantly got the feeling of being watched. My eyes quick to scan the area only to freeze. My breath hitching within my throat as I once again come face to face with none other than Antonio, Angelo, Vincent and Lucia. The same four men who were my constant nightmare as I move to see how casual they looked. Each of them dressed like one of the locals.

Antonio the first to respond by pressing a finger to his lips. A smirk rising as he moves in telling me to remain quiet. Each of them winking at me before vanishing into thin air. My body now in a panic until the woman from before moves to catch my attention.

My eyes now on her as she moves to hand me a small gift. Another bracelet. This bracelet designed completely in white while decorated in tiny silver charms, like that of a moon and star. The nickname Moon Star now echoing within me. A nickname given to me by my grandfather. My fingers trembling at how beautiful it was.

The lady quick to make four more which were similar to mine but in black. My body overwhelmed with emotions even as Tony moves to check in with me. My mind quick to brush off his concern with that of a yes. The need to flee rising even as the lady once again moves to grab my attention. Our eyes locking once more.

The lady of the booth soon reaching for me without any of my men knowing, a silent question rising as she moved to touch my belly. A small smile soon rising upon her lips as she moves to say a tiny blessing within her native tongue. None of the guys noticing except me and the woman who stood before me.

A wave of happiness and uncertainty now rising deep within me. My mind now racing. No. I couldn’t be pregnant? Could I? My mind still trying to process what I was just shown by the woman before quickly being led away.

Lucus and his brothers soon leading me to that of a local restaurant for lunch. My body still lost to those around me even as Tony attempts to grab my attention.

“Hello? Earth to Isabella, hey you in there?”

Tony quick to snap his fingers, which manages to bring me back towards the present. Our eyes now locking as he moves to ask if I was fine. Having zoned out and in a huge way too. My brain now searching for a quick response. A response he doesn’t buy but doesn’t pry for either.

A grateful sigh rising as we move to enter the restaurant. A waiter soon seating us in the far back area and away from prying eyes. Our table still giving me the perfect view of the outside. My hand unconsciously touching my belly from beneath the table. Thankful the guys hadn’t caught on.

The guys too busy chatting with one another to notice. My eyes soon filled with that of horror as Antonio and his brothers soon arrive to where we are. Wicked smiles rising as I sat there once more. My body frozen. My hand quick to grab for Alex. A reflex that I’ve developed over time.

A good one too because in that exact moment does Alex move to stop talking to his brothers. His eyes now quick to follow mine as a string of curses now leave his open lips.

“SON OF A BITCH”

The next thing I knew, I was instantly yanked to the ground. Bullets soon flying all around me as glass shattered and tourists screamed. Alex quick to pull out his gun as do Lucus, Grant and Tony as the four of them move to shoot at Antonio and his brothers.

The restaurant now a battlefield between three of the most feared Mafia families known. Each family fighting for one person. Me. My hands now covering my ears in an attempt to block out the noise. Bullets still whizzing like that of a 4th of July party. My thoughts now on me and my baby and of the dangers that surrounded us.
