32- Kinda, Sorta, Maybe on the Run?
Alex
Pausing, I continue to stare. The front door was wide fucking open. Completely wide open!
Feeling my anger rise further, I growl. She better not have tried escaping again.
Marco's face reflecting my own, shocked by what we were seeing.
Reaching into our pockets, we move to grab our whistles. Bringing them to our lips as we move to blow them. Storming towards the door, I move to look around outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of our beautiful headache that is Isabella. Hearing footsteps from behind me I continue to scan the area out in front of me, becoming increasingly angry when I'm unable to see her anywhere.
Impossible. Completely impossible. I know we weren’t that far behind her. There’s absolutely no way even if God gave her wings could she have made it in time to escape us.
So where the fuck was she?
Lucus still saturated in red glitter comes barreling out through the door, his face filled with rage. “What the fuck Alex?”
Glancing to him bitterly I move to reply “The front fucking door was open. And the only one who could have possibly come in this direction was Isabella herself."
Taking a second to register, it finally dawns on Lucus. His face doing a complete 180. Going from rage to pure murder, in a matter of 0 to 90 as he processed what I was trying to say to him.
“WHAT?! THAT'S IT, CALL EVERYONE HERE NOW! FIND ME ISABELLA! LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED UNTIL SHE'S FOUND!” with a commanding voice, his body shakes in rage. The now feared Mafia Leader rising. The King of Kings and if Isabella wasn't found soon, heads were going to roll.
Reaching for the wall I move to pull on the house alarm, a loud siren begins to sound loudly as everyone moves into position.
With Lucus storming back inside, I on the other hand begin barking out orders to all the guards. Sending teams to just about everywhere, I move to have my men search every nook and cranny of the compound.
30 minutes later, my walkie squawks to life with a voice. Literally.
Pausing, I move to listen closely. “Sirs! The Principessa (Princess) has been found! I repeat, has been found” comes a static voice as it booms over the walkie. For Principessa (Princess) had been a genreal code given among the men.
Although, Brat was probably more a fitting term for her right about now.
Turning off the alarm system, I attempt to speak only for Lucus’s voice to come over the speaker. “WHERE?”
“The Servants Quarter. She was in one of the rooms”answers the guard.
“Watch her, I’ll be right there” snaps Lucus, the walkie going silent. Oh snap. Not good, Not good Bambina (Baby). Lucus never, ever, retrieves his own prize, ever.
Hearing a ping from my phone, I move to notice a text from Lucus. He had sent a message in the group chat and I couldn't help but smirk at what was said.
Head for the dining room. Have guards bring some plastic tarp along with the chaere from down in the basement.
Staring at the screen, I instantly sprout a boner for chaere was another term used for throne or in this case our big metal chair that we kept in the basement when administering pain. The glitter now completely forgotten. Not wanting to miss a second of this, I move to watch Lucus’s plan for Isabella unfold.
================
Isabella
I'm not completely sure where I had gotten the idea from, but amongst the chaos I thought eh why not. Knowing it would be a long shot, I decided to give it a try anyway.
Standing in the foyer, I'm quick to spot the door. With a smirk steadily rising I move to think how fun it would be to make them freak out, if only for a little.
Rushing for the panel located one the wall, I move to try the passcode once more. To my surprise it still worked. Fuck tards, couldn't even bother to change the passcode. Way too easy. Hearing the locks opening I move to twist the handle as the sound of footsteps got louder and louder the closer they got to me.
Throwing the door wide open, I make a beeline towards the right of the room. Entering what was the first of three living rooms which was right off the foyer. Remembering during my earlier explorations that each room also led to another room as each were connected as a whole. Hugging the walls I manage to avoid detection just as the sound of whistles could be heard.
Continuing through rooms I eventually reach the music room, where once inside I move to lock the door. Not wanting to risk it, in case they came looking for me. Spotting another set of doors, I move to open it slowly, only to see guards as they move to rush by. Holding my breath, I wait. Eventually poking out my head.
Searching the surrounding area to make sure the coast was clear, I move to make a dash for the next room across the way, a tea room with a bar. That’s when I hear it. The sound of an alarm being pulled. Kinda like a fire alarm. Blaring loudly my heart began to race. This was definitely not part of the plan.
Now afraid, I move to rush for the next room. A game room. A spiral staircase sitting in the corner as I debate about returning to my room. Inspecting the staircase, I began to notice that it not only went up but down as well. Knowing that they would probably check my room first I decided to head down the stairs instead, hoping to avoid them until the coast was clear.
Spotting boxes upon boxes I begin to realize that this must be a Servants passage, which would explain the boxes as well as the dull dingy colors that colored the walls.
That’s it! Exclaims my mind. The Servants Quarters. They wouldn’t dare look for me there, would they? After all, it was all done in good fun. No harm no foul.
Weaving my way through the corridor, I eventually come to a wooden door. Opening it slowly, I move to see another foyer, only this one was much smaller, maybe no bigger than my old room back home which gradually opened up into a larger sitting room with lots of sofas. The alarm now muted the further I got as I moved to exit the doorway, acting as if nothing had just happened.
Taking in my surroundings slowly, I move to explore only to bump into a familiar face. Emily. Seeing me she instantly runs over before hugging me tightly.
“I’m so happy you're safe! When I heard the siren I panicked.” replies Emily, her voice rushed.
“You need to return to your room as well! For this alarm means serious business. All the guards are searching like mad” continues Emily, as she pulls me through corridors.
“Actually, I was hoping I could stay with you? Please? My room is on the far side of the castle. I don’t think I could make it back safely” I beg.
“Of course! Come, Come! This way then” she says, pulling me even faster as we hear a guard yell from down the hall. “Move along! Back to your rooms! NOW! That’s an order!”
Hauling me along, we move to enter a room, allowing me to see a small twin size bed along with a nightstand and dresser. Locking her door, we move to sit on the bed, waiting.
Eventually I'm hit with a question by Emily. “So, tell me… What did you end up doing with all those water balloons? I couldn’t stop thinking about it after I left you.”
“Well….” taking a deep breath, I move to tell her everything. Including the part after I had left the room. Unable to hold it together we both burst into laughter.
“Man, what I would have given to see their faces” she laughs.
Pausing, she acts as if she suddenly realized something. “Fuck! The alarm. It's for you, wasn’t it Isabella? They must be super pissed at you now."
Terrified at what they would do, I soon remember how obsessed they were with me, keeping me as theirs no matter what. “I’ll be okay, I can't be in the that much trouble” I say.
Taking her hand in mine, we continue to just enjoy each other's company until a loud knock was heard followed by a voice. “Open up! Inspection time.” Gulping I move to look at Emily, her face mirroring my own. Fear.
Rattling the door knob, the door quickly opens to reveal a rather large guard with brown hair. The usual black monkey suit adorning his body. Behind him another two guards move to stand behind him, both with similar builds.
Eyes widening, I suddenly realize there were a total of five guards present. All trying to stand within Emily’s small room. Blocking us both from leaving. Once inside does one of the guards call for his “Boss” threw his walkie talkie. Their eyes filled with cold hatred towards me.
Seconds rush by before finally I hear the sound of a throat being cleared. The guards parting way as the devil himself now stood standing in the door.
Lucus.
Noticing he had changed into an all black suit including shirt, hair damp from what I could only assume was from his shower, his eyes move to focus solely on me.
“Hello Amore Mio (My Love)” he says. Voice oddly sweet as he holds the most terrifying smile on his face.
“Ready for your punishment?”
Gulping, I now fear what was to come with said punishment.
