52- Feral Beasts

Third Person

Six Months Later….

If someone had said to you that being the leader of the Greek Italian American Mob was anything but easy then that person would have gotten a bullet through their head in an instant. For being leaders of the Mafia was no easy task, a task that Lucus, Grant, Alex and Tony were soon finding out. For there were many a nights when Lucus and Alex would spend almost all of their time training with their men, too making sure that shipments were being sent to where they needed to be sent while others landed in failure for many of their shipments would end up being ambushed, causing them to lose out on millions if not billions of dollars. And with each successful ambush, there always came some kind of blood shed that followed, the whole meaning of take no prisoners was their new favorite motto.

Then there was Grant, as Grant made sure to stay busy with investing and opening new business in where he saw fit, occasionally merging companies if he saw them struggling to stay a float for running an illegal business as well as legal one was no easy task and the expansive side of their Mafia business was vastly growing.

Other nights the guys would just go and spend their evenings over at their club, Club Ambrosia, in which they would drink. Drowning their sorrows as well as their pain in nothing but alcohol until they were numb, where once they were numb they would finally allow women to feast upon their bodies, showering them in pleasure as they attempted to mask the pain of heartache. Other times, they spent their time killing, killing those weaker than them without so much as a second thought, the blood of men, women, and children as well as the old laying in pools of their blood without so much as a glance.

Even those who worked for them began to fear them for with each passing day the monsters who lived within each of the guys would gradually turn feral as each of them had their own way of dealing with the loss of their Princess for she was theirs and without that presence to anchor them, they gradually grew depressed for while some would agree, they all but missed her crazy sense of humor while Lucus, Grant, Alex and Tony would miss out on the fact of being able to touch her or watching as her eyes lit up with different emotions for she was their sun, their light and without that they were left to wander in the dark.

Yet, while others slowly began to lose hope, Tony on the other hand took all of his pent up emotions and channeled them into being productive, spending most if not all his time advancing their technology with his band of nerds. Other times, when the guys would be too drunk to care and would finally pass out from being too drunk, Tony would use his time to check and double check any and all footage that he could find until finally he found a way to develop an advanced copy of facial recognition.

For it had be a grueling six months and during those six months since their Principessa (Princess) had vanished and while things had gone terribly wrong on the night she managed to escape no one had been able to figure out how an explosion had broken out within the compound, an explosion that had managed to knock out almost half of their cameras as well the tracking device they had secretly planted on Isabella’s necklace.

And while it had been rough, the guys would refuse to give up even when they would manage to find even a small trace on her whereabouts for as soon as it was found, it was gone, as if footage would just vanish into thin air or if a witness had been found that witness would show up either dead or missing, even their men who had seen her flee somehow ended up dead including that of the guard who was stationed at the gate that night too.

Eventually it became a matter of them running around in circles like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off, each knowing how creative and resourceful she could be but even with all that combined they knew she had help, someone who was helping her from the inside and that was what bothered them the most.

Infuriating at times, Tony prided himself in being the best, surrounding himself with only the best but when things didn’t go according to plan then it infuriated him to know that someone else had managed to out smart him by always staying 2 steps ahead of him at all times. The only problem was that Tony had a feeling that he knew who it was. So it was only a matter of time until he managed to find it and figure it out and when he did all hell would break loose.

================

After weeks of working and a little less drinking, Lucus was actually sober enough to finally realize that it had been months since he had been able to spend a good amount of quality time with those he considered his best friends for not many would fit into that category and those who did he treasured them with a passion so deciding that a long overdue guys night was indeed called for, Lucus moves to text Grant, Tony, Alex, Marco, Enzo, Lucifer as well as their visiting guests, Marcel and Reyes for a night of drinks and fun within the game room of their home.

Smiling, Lucus moves to wait for a reply, Marcel and Reyes both being a part of their Mafia circle as well as husbands who were currently visiting from one of their many European divisions. Marcel having grown up with Enzo for most of their lives only to be accepted into the picture when Lucus, Grant and Alex had magically shown up, each of them clicking together like that of a puzzle. Lucus was even asked to be an Officiant for both Marcel and Reyes when they decided to finally get married a few years back and were now back in the states for official business as they were now becoming parents, adopting two beautiful twin boys Silas and Zane both of whom had been stationed within the NICU due to complicated births and had to stay until strong enough to leave.

Of course being a sponsor was also what helped them to become parents for Marcel could be cold and cruel like the rest but when it came to his family he could instantly match that of Alex and his need to be a sadist which meant those kids would turn out to be extremely lucky as they got older.

“Salute! To the happy couple and the newest additions to the Rotolo Family may happiness continue to bless you always” smiles Lucus, raising his glass of expensive whiskey as each of the guys hovered around a pool table, a drink in hand as well as a Cuban cigar as they stood their drinking.

“Aww thanks guys” smiles Marcel as he and Reyes bask in the glory of recognition for it had been months since any of them had managed to enjoy the others company and was well overdue for it.

Smiling again, the guys eventually move to split off, Marco, Alex, Lucus and Reyes all deciding on a game of pool while Marcel and Enzo became entranced by a mere round of video games, a post-apocalyptic zombie game keeping them focused as Tony and Grant attempt to outsmart one another in a game of classic PacMan and Tetris.

Hearing his phone ping, Lucus moves to see what it was only to grin the biggest grin imaginable, his eyes looking to those all around him before speaking. “Yes Bitches, we got the deal”, “Uh what deal?” asks Enzo not sure if he was following.

“The Siracusa Deal, Duh” answers Lucus only for Grant to groan, “Seriously Lu? What the fuck, Thanks for giving me a heads up”

Ignoring Grant, Lucus can’t help but celebrate, aiming to take his shot next at the pool table he moves to aim his cue stick letting it shoot forward as he moves to sink in three balls simultaneously with one another.

“How much are we talking? And when are they asking for it?” asks Alex curious about the deal Lucus had just landed them.

“Next week, as for the money, they offered us… Four Hundred and twenty… Billion dollars” purrs Lucus, having landed the biggest deal ever to come their way, even before Isabella came into the picture.

“NO WAY!”

“SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!”

“ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY?”

“Yes way, that’s why were the fucking best, because we always get the job done right” brags Lucus, saluting his glass to those within the room before taking another swig of his drink the guys all doing the same.

“You know, with that much money at stake, we should initiate Fail Safe” murmurs Grant, not wanting to risk losing such a high paying job as Lucus moves to nod his head, the others slightly confused by the name other than Tony and Alex.

“Fail Safe?” asks Marco, generally curious as he had never heard of the name before.

Chuckling softly Lucus moves to look at him slowly, “Remember how we had all of you running around town back when we had that last big order and nobody knew what was happening except us” answers Lucus, Marco nodding in response. “That my friend was Fail Safe”

Downing his drink, no one seems to notice Lucifer as he moves to exit the room and into the hallway where he slowly makes his way towards an empty room, his phone in hand as he moves to make his call, knowing that his bosses would want to hear this and fast unaware that Tony had also exited the room but for totally different reasons as he moves to find the bathroom the need to relieve himself rising.

Once finished with his business, does Tony move over to the sink, washing his hands, before taking a moment to splash cold water against his face, his face now showing all the countless nights he had used in staying awake, his body beginning to protest from the lack of sleep. Groaning, Tony moves to exit the room, the nagging thought of missing that vital piece still plaguing his mind as he moves to head back only to stumble across a half open door, curiosity getting the better of him as he moves to approach it, only to freeze as he hears the voice of Lucifer and what he had been saying, his hand now reaching for his gun as well as his phone.
