51- Let’s Get This Show on the Road

Isabella

If someone gave you a definition of walking on eggshells, what would be the first thing that popped into your mind, for me, it definitely wouldn’t be me sitting the fuck here that was for sure, my thoughts running laps around my head as I try to think of ways of getting out of my initiation for tomorrow. Having been told that I was to be branded like cattle, all thoughts of running away began to set in. For while I still struggled with admitting to myself that I officially had a thing for these men, their Bipolar personalities were beginning to throw me for a loop.

Glancing towards a clock that sat along my nightstand, I can’t help but see the minutes and hours tick by as my “Official” bedtime got closer and closer, sighing, I decide a nice hot bath was in order, hoping and praying to every god out there, that I would not have to attend this stupid initiation.

Sighing, I slowly move towards the bathtub, switching the knob to hot, I move to grab one of my many, many bath bombs, a lavender scented bath bomb reaching my nose as I move to plop it into the water, watching as it fizzled, as the water slowly turned purple. Shedding my clothes, I move to shut off the water before slowly climbing into the tub, lowering myself gently as I allow my body to relax, attempting to enjoy whatever bit of freedom I had left until the water all but turned cold, my skin now pruny from being in the water way too long.

Draining the water, I finally move to climb out, a towel now wrapped securely around me as I then move to finish with my nighttime routine, drawing it out for as long as I could until the clock eventually read 10 o’clock sharp, another sigh rising as I move to wait for my nightly guard dog to appear, the one who would come and make sure that my chain had been securely put into place before giving me my sedative.

Approaching the bed do I pause, a small yet visible white envelope now sat neatly upon the blanket, my name neatly written on the front of it as I all but move to open it, my eyes widening from what I was reading.

It’s time. Be ready to leave no later than 10:30 sharp. I’ll unlock the door then. Use secret passage.

Oh. My. God. Could this be real? Did I really have my own knight in shining armor right here under my nose?

Re-Reading the note do I finally move to get ready, rushing back towards the bathroom and to where I had secretly stashed another envelope within one of my many tampon boxes before dashing for my closet, reaching for a tiny black bag that had magically shown up one day, do I begin to throw in some clothes, grabbing whatever I could before moving to throw on some black capri leggings, a pale blue cami as well as a gray reebok hoodie and some tennis shoes, my heart now racing with possibilities as I wait for my escape.

Watching the clock, I slowly begin to count down the clock eventually reading 10:25. Just then I hear it, the sound of the infamous locks on my door, each one unlocking as I move to hold my breath, secretly hoping it wasn’t one of my guard dogs coming to check in with me as I now stood frozen in place.

Resisting the urge to cry I all but calm down when seeing that nobody has entered. Counting to three silently within my head do I finally sigh, my eyes now seeing that the clock read 10:30 do I finally bolt from the room, my bag now over my shoulders as I listen for guards.

Clinging to the safety of the shadows I carefully make my way back towards the room with the secret passage inside, holding my breath when I do, a soft light now illuminating the room as I all but move to enter, my eyes searching the still empty room as I carefully move to unlock the secret door, pulling the tiny silver trinket that I had once come across before as it silently opens the door, giving me the access that I needed to carefully slip inside before carefully reclosing the door yet again.

Remembering the flashlight that I had found during my last visit I all but move to grab it, my fingers moving to turn on the light before coming face to face with another human body, a scream all but leaving my chest as a hand moves to muffle my screams.

“SHHHHHH” whispers the voice, their hand still covering my mouth. “Easy, I’m not here to hurt you, I’m here to help you. Now, if you promise not to scream I’ll remove my hand from your mouth, do we have a deal?”

Nodding, my head, I find myself watching as the one who was helping me was none other than fucking Lucifer.

“Lucifer? What the fuck? Why are you helping me?” I hissed, confusion making itself present as I couldn’t quite figure out his MO.

“Later, we don’t have time for idle chit-chat. Here, take this, you’ll need it” grunts Lucifer, as he all but shoves a much thicker envelope into my hands before pulling me down through the hallway until we all but reach the spiral staircase.

“Listen, everything that you could need right now is in that envelope, everything from money to bank card to ID, it’s there. All you need to do now is take these stairs and head for the garage, once there you’ll find your little red sports car parked near the last garage door, inside the car you’ll find a controller for the main gate, use it. Once safely through the gates, move to follow the instructions given, it’ll take you to the main road.”

Biting my lip I move to ask the one question that had been nagging at me since learning that my knight in shining armor was none other than Lucifer. “Why are you helping me? Aren’t you loyal to your Kings of Hell?”

Sighing, Lucifer all but shakes his head, “They aren’t my Kings, My Kings are ones who are fully invested in making sure I get you the fuck out here, Now go” orders Lucifer as he moves to push me down the stairs, my mind trying to make sense of his words, as his eyes tell me to drop it and get a move on.

“Oh and Isabella” calls Lucifer, making me pause.

“Yea?” I answer back.

“Remember, last car. Your car. And whatever you do, DON’T STOP FOR ANYTHING.” is all that he says before moving to turn back around, allowing me to head for my final destination, the garage and to where my beautiful baby now sat waiting for me.

Doing as told, I move to head down until eventually coming to the garage, my eyes gazing at how massive it was as I move to look for my baby, my eyes scanning over hundreds if not thousands of cars, some mostly SUVs of all different shapes and sizes, as well as all black except for four brightly colored lamborghinis. The pricks.

Spotting my baby, I all but sprint towards its location, the key sitting in its ignition as I all but jump in, twisting the key as my baby roars to life, tossing the bag into the passenger seat as I did as I all but rev up the engine, noticing a garage button on the visor I move to press it, watching as the door opens before moving to floor down the gas pedal, guards now rushing into the garage as I go speeding out into the night sky, my heart all but racing as I kept looking back hoping and praying that nobody was following me as I eventually approach the main gates, remembering about the button that Lucifer had mentioned I all but move to press it, watching as the gate moved to open, a guard baffled as I come whizzing by him as I then speed off into the night, reaching for the instructions as I moved to follow them to a tee.

Grinning, I knew this was it, that my prayers had finally been answered as I moved to think to myself, It’s showtime baby! Let’s get this show on the road.
