Epilogue

Elena placed a kiss on her older son's head as they sat in the tent reserved for the Royal family. They were back at Chrysallis and the night of Connor's induction was here. He was truly nervous for the past two weeks.

After their arrival back home, he stayed inside until Dimitri returned to Chrysallis. Sensing his adopted pup needed him more than ever, he spent the majority of his time with the young boy, teaching him things his father taught him and stayed by his side when his grandfather gave him lessons also. The supernaturals in the town learned of him, and little by little they accepted him until he was invited to play in the park under watchful eyes of a guard.
The surprise was evident in all the members of Full Moon pack when informed that their Alphas were actually the reigning King and Queen with the addition of another prince on the way. Happiness and acceptance followed the surprise announcement which has been the normal mood for the past two weeks.

Now back on the private beach where the pack was formed, it was another special night.

Connor Bradford, now known as Connor Romano will be inducted into the pack and will have his first run as one of them and also a prince. During his time being acclimated to this new life, he was taught the law and what will be asked of him when he gets older. He also understood that only a blood born pup will be the next king in which he didn't mind but Elena and Dimitri decided to let the two princes decide when they come of age.

"I'm nervous, mom," he muttered. Sitting in her lap, his body curved around her firm stomach, Connor took in her scent of wildflowers and calmed himself.

"It's okay to be nervous. This is an important part of your life. Not only are we celebrating your new role in this life but we are celebrating you being our son officially," she said glancing Dimitri's way.

Connor looked between both his mother and father with the widest smile on his face.

"We contacted your real parents and spoke to them about everything. They agreed it was best to let you stay with us with the promise from us to allow them to contact you when you're ready," Dimitri shared as he approached them.

"But I don't remember them," Connor said softly.

"We explained this to them and it was of mutual understanding that no matter what you are still their son. When you're ready to meet them, all you have to do is ask," Elena said softly. Dimitri ruffled the boy's wild hair before placing a fatherly kiss on his head.

"We are proud to have you as our son, Connor. We may not share the same blood but you are our son. Do you understand?" Dimitri said firmly.

"Yes, dad."

"That's my boy."

Connor beamed under his praise and watched on as his father kissed his mother then her tummy, saying hello to his little brother.

"I'll be waiting for you two outside."

Elena held onto her little boy for a while longer, knowing it won't be long before he turns a teenager too big for mommy's hugs. "We love you so much," she whispered against his head.

"I love you too, mom."

Her son.

It was time.

Holding onto Elena's hand, Connor took in the circle of supernaturals as they walked towards Dimitri and the elders of the pack. Werewolves in their natural forms, bowed their heads in welcome and respect as he walked by. Vampires fangs gleamed under the moonlight when they smiled and bowed his way. Witches in their ethereal garb looked like angels to him, they were all truly magical. As they neared the platform, Connor's smile widens when he saw his father. The man didn't hide his love and pride for the young man.
He stepped forward to help Elena climb up the stairs with the young boy protectively flowing her with his hand still linked with hers.
Connor was placed to stand before them, giving him a higher view of the entire pack.

Elder Elias stepped forward and brought everyone's attention to them.

"Thank you all for responding to our call. Tonight is a night that will be written in our history books for generations to come. Tonight we welcome not only the first hellhound as a pack member but the first hellhound prince. Though he was created under cruel intentions, Mother has given each hellhound who survived solace under her love. She blessed us with Connor. A fine example that all beings can live together and share a love no one can break. I'm proud to say he's my grandson, my first of two.
He's the son of your King and Queen, your new prince. As they love and nurture him as their own, I ask of you Full Moon pack to do the same as your brother."

The crowd cheered into the night, accepting the young boy.

The ceremonial dagger was brought forward by a young wolf along with a wooden bowl. The scent of flowers filled the night, Connor watched on as his parents stepped forward. Their palms were cut allowing their blood to drip into the bowl, mixing together. They both turned to him and held their hands out to him.
Without hesitation, he accepted them and joined the small circle. His grandfather took his hand and whispered in assurance not to be afraid. His beings inside him were calm, they two felt how reverent this moment was.
He flinched when the sting of the cut registered to him. Just like his parents, his blood was dripped into the bowl then mixed with the flowers as his grandfather offered it up to the sky.

"Connor."

Dimitri called to his son.

"Yes, dad," he replied softly, amazed by the dark eyes with gold rings looking down at him.

"As of this moment, you are no longer considered an abomination. You are now being blessed by Selene, the mother of all creatures of the night. The Moon Goddess. She's our guide in this world and now yours. Your name will now be known by all not by your beings but by your new position in this world. My son. Our son..." Dimitri smiled Elena's way as he said this.

"Our little prince," he continued.

"The Royal family now has another generation with you at the head, my sweet boy," Elena said aloud.

"Mom." He didn't know when but the tears that formed in his mismatched eyes, fell onto his cheeks only to be wiped away but the gentle hands of his parents. The two turned him to face the crowd as Elias came to stand before him.

"Mother has blessed this induction and welcomed her child. Members of Full Moon, I give to you, Prince Connor Romano, the first Royal hellhound." Once again loud cheers filled the night as Elias placed a mark on his forehead, followed by his parents. His body felt warm and so at peace for the first time. Both wolf and Vampire were getting along, they were happy, relaying to Connor what they felt and what they saw in what the supernaturals called the sanctuary.

"Now as his first action as your prince and a member of this pack. By my side, he will lead you all in our induction pack run under this new moon," Dimitri said aloud. Connor took a deep breath and stepped forward. He practiced these words for two weeks and thought them nothing as simple words but now they had a strong meaning to them. He, along with his beings finally understood and felt the words.

"I, Connor Romano, promise to be loyal to my pack. I promise to protect, love, respect, and care for each member as my own brother and sister. I give you my promise to always be there for you as you will do the same for me, as a brother among the creatures of the night and as your prince and future leader. I accept my role and duty as your Prince. I am now the son of King Dimitri Romano and Queen Elena Monroe-Romano. I am the first Royal hellhound."

He laughed at the excited cheers and the chanting of his name. He felt his mother's arm around his shoulders then the kiss his father always place on his head.

He was home.

Standing back, Elena watched as Connor completed his first shift before everyone. His fur was now a healthy dark sheen, short and sleek against his body, his red eyes weren't as bright as before. It was now darker with traces of black, making him less intimidating. He circled her legs then Dimitri's before sitting beside him. Nodding, in approval, the king himself, shifted into his wolf form and howled into the night. Each wolf of Full Moon pack joined in, wolves from afar howled in return, all welcoming the new royal into their world.

Her father came to stand beside her, placing a comforting arm around her shoulder as she cried happy tears, watching her son and her mate lead their pack in a run around the borders.
"You have a family now, my little Ellie. Your mother would have been so proud. This is the future we both wanted for you and now you have it. I'm so proud of you," Elias said quietly as he too watched on.
"Thank you, daddy."
Elena thanked the Moon Goddess for blessing her greatly. She couldn't wait to run through the forest with her mate and sons. Her family.

**Two months and One week later**

Humming the lullaby as she stroked her now large tummy and older son's head as he drifted off to dreamland, she smiled, loving her new role as a mother. Little Vincent moved, probably agreeing with her as he found a more comfortable spot in his little space.

"Good night my sweet boy," she whispered kissing his head and quietly left the room. Slowly she made her way down to the ground floor where her mate was holed up in his office. His door was open, giving her the unobstructed view of him hard at work. Elena didn't have to say a word. He raised his head, his eyes flashing between grey and black before settling on grey.

"Lena."
Her body warmed by the pet name he always called her. The way his Russian accent coats each letter of her name makes her melt every time he calls her.

Pushing away from his desk, he beckoned her to come with a slight crook of his finger. Walking towards him, a sharp pain caught her unexpectedly.

"Elena! Are you alright?" Dimitri now had her in his arms, she couldn't register when he got to her due to another sharp pain and warm fluid gushing down her legs.
"Baby's here," she whimpered when they both looked on in shock at her water breaking. The scared yet determined look on her mate's face made her smile.

"Call the doctor. Get me to our room. Call dad," she said slowly to him. He gave her a sharp nod and proceeded to get her to their room. Her screams of pain stabbed his heart, frantically he contacted the doctor and his father in law over the pack link and trying not to drop her.
Reaching their room, he placed her to lay back on the sofa while he prepared their bed and got a fresh cotton nightgown for her. Her whimpers of pain and calling of his name made him weak. "I'm sorry," he whispered against her wet cheeks when he held her once more in his arms. Placing her on the bed, he got in behind her just in time to see the doctor, his two nurses and his father in law enter their room with everything to help with a safe delivery.
Elias opened the double french doors allowing the cool night breeze in the heated room. Elena sighed and leaned against her mate's chest.

The doctor checked her and happily announced she was already five centimeters apart.
The next three hours, Elena was in labor, the contractions gaining closer and the pain becoming more intense. Her outbursts were funny and her threats of never giving birth filled their air. She was now at ten centimeters. A loud scream escaped her at the end of those three hours, which was replied by Connor's frantic calling for his mother.

"Someone... go to him... he's probably scared," Elena cried.

Elias quickly opened the door, only to let in a scared-looking Connor.
"Mom? Are you okay? I heard you screaming." His eyes took in the scene before him in his semi-sleepy state. "The baby," he whispered. Dimitri called him closer and allowed him to be on the bed with them.

"Doc. He's coming. For fucks sake get him out," Elena screamed.

"You're definitely your mother's daughter," Elias chuckled taking his position by her side.

The two nurses holding her legs apart, Dimitri and Connor acting as her anchors, Elias giving her words of encouragement, Elena pushed with all her might upon the doctor's orders.

With random breaks, she endured the burn and the pain when she had to push. She focused on one thing. Holding him in her arms. She couldn't wait to meet him.
"One more. One more push, your majesty," the doctor pressed. Taking a deep breath, Elena pushed feeling her baby's head expanding her entrance with the doctor's help. Her scream of pain went simultaneously as the rest of his body slipped out of her canal along with his hearty cries.

"He's beautiful, my love. So beautiful. Thank you. Thank you, Lena," Dimitri cried kissing her lips and face while she rested. Opening her eyes slightly, she gave them all a tired smile, accepting their congratulations when they placed him on her chest.

That motherly bond that has been strengthening over the past months was now solidified. Tears of happiness cooled her heated face as she held her son. His full head of dark hair was matted, his eyes were still closed as he wiggled and cried until he found comfort on her chest.

"Welcome home, my little Vincent," she whispered to him.

"Prince Vincent Darien Romano, our son," her mate said aloud.

Elena couldn't stop smiling and neither can her family. Connor reached over and gently touched his little brother's fingers telling him hello softly.
She turned to her father who now had tears in his eyes as he looked on at her. "You did great," he whispered.

She then turned to her mate who was still crying with the look of awe on his face. Elena simply smiled and hand over their son to the nurse so he can be cleaned up and for her to get rid of her after birth. Connor and her father excused themselves but Dimitri stayed and helped with the aftercare of his mate.

Every touch and smile he gave her was so full of love and adoration. She was so blessed to have him.

After twenty minutes, she was now on fresh sheets and clothes, laying in bed watching her mate with their son.
"Lena, you rebuilt for me what was lost. Thank you for blessing me with my second son. I love you, my queen," he said reverently.

Sitting beside her, he placed a slow kiss on her lips. Her family was now complete.
Elena knew she would have met her mate someday but never in her wildest imagination that he will be their king.
He gave her happiness and a life of unseen wonders. They both now have a kingdom to rule and protect. No matter what she will always be by his side as she promised the day they officially met as mates. He was hers as much as she was his. Her Dimitri, now and always.

"I love you, my king."
