**Mason**
I was happy that my best friend was alive and well. They were visible scars on his arms and face but overall he was in good health. I watched him from across the room as he sat looking at the television with a scowl.
Emma probably told him about finding her mate. I knew what he did back at Moon Dust and now he's going to pay for it. I didn't ask what happened between Emma and him earlier. It was obvious when Michael cried out in pain and went on a rampage.
"Dude, you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah just got a lot on my mind ya know," He said smiling but it didn't reach his eyes.
We stayed quiet for a moment. "Were there any other survivors from the pack?" He finally asked.
"Uh yeah," I answered. He would be pissed when he hears the truth.
"Why can't I link you?" he asked standing to his full height with a confused expression.
I rubbed my face with my hands, bracing myself for his temper.
"We made it to Dark Moon, meeting up with Emma and the twins. As it turns out, Heather was part of the survivors, she disrespected Emma in front of her mate which earned her a warning from the future alpha......" I started to say.
His hands were clenched in anger. I didn't know what part of my statement made him angry.
"The Luna invited us over to get to know her daughter in law's pack. I knew it wasn't a good idea but I went along. Heather called Emma a slut in front of Michael's sister. They heard and Dark Moon pack got ready to defend her honor. Michael banished the pack but I chose to stay with Emma. I renounced my position of beta to protect Emma. I...." I continued.
"You allowed him to banish your own pack?" He shouted stalking from the couch, to tower over me. I bowed my head in submission as he was still my alpha though I belonged to no pack.
"They all disrespected their future Luna, Aiden what did you expect them to do? They took advantage of Dark Moon's kindness and I agreed with their decision," I said confidently.
How can he stray from the fact that they were against Emma our best friend, his love?
"Who the fuck cares. Your pack comes before any friend. You're a disgrace. Beta is always loyal to his own." He shouted bitterly.
My head snapped to his face. His face was contorted in pure anger. Is it for the banishment of the pack? Or is it for the fact it was Michael who did it, the man who now has Emma?
"Aiden. You and I both agreed that Emma is more important than any pack. Much less the pack that looked down on her, they hated her because she was different. Emma....." I shouted at him, my wolf didn't like how he was pertaining to Emma as nothing, we definitely read between the lines of his statement.
"She's no longer my concern," he said coldly.
I laughed aloud, humorlessly. No longer his concern? Who was he kidding? He's just lashing out at the fact that Emma won't reject her mate for him.
"You can fake it all you want Aiden. You're pissed that she chose Michael and not you. What did you think she would have done...... Make you her mate." I laughed.
Before I knew it his hand was tight around my neck, with him slamming me to the floor, his eyes were dark.
"I'm the one that's worthy of her. I should have marked her back home. She would have been mine but that idiot had to ruin everything. Emma will always be mine, soon she will see its all mistake. He's weak look what that simple kiss did to them. He doesn't love her. I do and you're not gonna stop me this time" he growled, my vision started to get blurry but I still struggled to get free.
Darkness crept up slowly as I hoarsely begged him to stop. In a flash, he was off of me. I turned to see a black wolf on top of him snarling at him, pinning him down by his shoulders.
"You alright bro?" I heard Noah through the fits of coughs I erupted in. I nodded in response to his answer.
He helped me up and turned to the scene in front of us. Michael shifted back and held Aiden by his neck, both of their wolves were raging.
"So you're the gracious Michael? Nice to meet you." Aiden sneered.
"Listen here pup, if you ever go near my Emma again I will rip you to pieces. Unlike you I have respect. Your friends seem to value you for me to spare your life but that won't stop me to teach you to stay away from what is mine," Michael said with malice.
Aiden pushed Michael off while shifting into his wolf, he smiled down at Aiden, "So that's what you want to do? Challenge me for my own mate? You got to be fucking with me," he laughed. Michael shifted, his wolf was bigger than Aiden's as they circled each other.
"Call Emma." I barely shouted.
"She's not letting us in," Noah shouted watching the two alphas snapping at each other.
"This is too good," We heard a new voice said. I looked over my shoulder to see Beta Isah and four warriors behind him.
"Isah. Michael would kill him. We have to stop this." Jonah said keeping an eye on the fight that was about to happen.
"No, he won't," Isah said grinning. He whistled to the two, "Oye take it outside. Arabella won't like any blood on her Persian rug." He told them. I rolled my eyes. That's his idea of helping?
Aiden and Michael followed Isah snapping and baiting each other. "I have to get Emma she has to stop them," I said running out of the room.

**Aiden**
Teach me respect? He stole what was mine. Mate or not. She belonged to me. We followed the warriors and their beta out of the palace. All I have to do is get rid of him then she would know who is for her. The black wolf that's suppose to be the crowned prince circled me and kept on snapping at me in anger.
Ace didn't like being intimidated. 'Time to claim what is ours,' Ace growled at me.
He took full control and rushed the prince. He quickly dodged Ace's attack and bit into my back. His canines were sharp, I knew he got blood out of that wound. Ace bit his tail but he didn't even flinch but retaliated with a slash to my side. This wolf was fast I would give him that. We tackled Michael to the ground but he rolled us off and bit my front paw. To get loose we used our other paw to slash his face, it seems to open up a previous wound. He howled and retreated a bit, we used that as a distraction to lunge at him. Knocking him down again and repeatedly took bites at him but he matched us evenly in defending himself. We were at it for a while, a crowd started to assemble no one was cheering just looking on. I didn't care, they all will be witnesses to see the dominant one, the one to be with Emma. The one to be by her side, be her prince.
My body was getting tired but I kept on pushing, Ace was weak, we weren't strong enough to fight after being tortured but we didn't care. A movement in my peripheral vision distracted me, then pain coursed through my body. Ace retreated, Michael had me on the ground, his canines were like a vise grip around my neck, his hind legs were on my chest, the pressure on my lungs made it hard for me to breathe, I knew my ribs were re-broken.
"Submit now Aiden," Noah shouted.
I will never submit to this wolf. I will not claim weakness.
I continued to struggle under his weight which caused my body more pain. Michael shifted. "Submit now or be dealt with," he shouted in a dominant tone.
I'm a fucking alpha that shit doesn't work with me. His hands were clamped around my neck, using my paw I marked his chest. He yelled in pain falling back clutching his chest.
Pathetic.
I got up and approached him, this was too easy.
As I was about to attack him, a ball of fire came hurtling towards me. I tried to dodge it but I was too shocked knowing that Michael also has a gift.
What the hell?
The fire burned my fur down to my skin, I had to shift, the pain was unbearable. My voice became hoarse from screaming in pain. I begged for help but no one came. I pleaded between cries. How can they just stand there and not help?
"Now you will respect our prince and his mate. That burn will serve as a reminder for you to never cross him and our princess," the beta said standing over me. No pity was shown on his face.
"Get the prince inside now," he ordered behind him.
Noah and Jonah came beside me, they said nothing. The pain of the burn and my wounds got me weaker I wanted to ask them why they didn't help but the darkness took over.
