**Caiden**
"How did everything go?" I asked Micah as he entered my office.
I was uneasy knowing that I found my mate and can't be near her but as my wolf kept saying we had to take things slow. Micah sat in the chair before my desk. He was lost in thought he said nothing which wasn't normal at all.
"Why does the goddess keep our mates away from us? Why do we have to go through lengths to find the one person who completes us," he asked lost in thought.
This was new to me as he wasn't the type to talk about mates; he believed he didn't have one because he was a hybrid.
"To help us grow? I don't know man. I guess she does it for a reason," I answered him contemplating on his question some more.
A moment of silence passed before he projected the images of his meeting with Eva earlier to the introduction of both sentinels and Eva. The last part where Eva revealed that my mate thought of us as jokes caused pain through my heart. My wolf growled in annoyance before cutting the link between us.
"I'm sorry Caiden" Micah whispered solemnly.
"No. If she can't accept the wolf part of me then I would make her accept the man I am" I said thinking what I must do to win her heart.
"Your mate must accept your wolf. You know this Cay" Micah said softly.
"I can't lose her. I've loved her since dad told us about our one true mate. If I have to reject that part of me for her I would." I said sincerely.
My words were true. If all it takes to hide my history for my mate to love me I would gladly do it. No matter the consequences.
"Caiden. This is your world. Your birthright. You would give it all up for her? A human," he spat at me.
I attacked him with all the anger that was coursing through my body from his words. His body flew through my office door into the room across the hallway. "You would not speak of her in that tone. She is still my mate. Your princess." I growled at him.
"You are blinded by a girl who wants nothing to do with you, how can you give it all up for her." He returned. His vampire made its appearance as he bared his fangs at me ready to attack.
"I would do it in a heartbeat." Trying to bind his movements but he used his vampire speed to come at me, he knocked me over holding me by my throat. Both our wolves were now at bay. "Don't make me do it, brother," I said to him trying to hold back my wolf as I pushed him off.
Micah didn't listen he shifted into his full hybrid form and snapped at me. He stood tall as a human but his skin was covered in fur claws replaced his hands and feet, his fangs were still visible his body was much more muscular than his human form. His eyes were now dark as night.
"You are not thinking right Cay. If she can't accept you as the wolf you are, how can she accept us. Your family. Our people!" He shouted.
His words were true but I couldn't give her up, I've waited too long to do that. If she wants a human to love that's what my Rosa would get.
"I'm sorry, brother" I whispered holding his body hostage, seizing any movements in his muscles he struggled to move as our gazes locked.
'Caiden. Don't do this.' he said to me weakly.
"You don't understand, Micah. She's my hope. She is the reason why I lived even when I didn't know her name. I don't want to be this monster anymore. These powers are not gifts, they are a curse. With her, I can be human. I can live freely without being always in control so I won't kill someone by accident. Please understand. No one won't stop me from this. Not even you," I said.
My vision blurred as I heard my best friend gasping for air. They don't know what it is to live with unlimited power in your body, a simple touch or an idle thought can be dangerous to anyone around me.
Denouncing my throne and birthright, I would be stripped of everything. I would be human. My wolf was trying to take over to stop what I was about to do but he doesn't understand. They would all want to stop me.
"Brother" Micah wheezed as I fell to my knees. Tears falling from my eyes as I held Micah above the ground prolonging his death.
"No more will I be defined by this. I, Prince Caiden Alexander Saville, firstborn of King Michael and Queen Emma Saville hereby de....." I started to say before I felt myself being thrown across the room, pinned to the wall.
I was then brought to my knees, my wolf screamed out in pain before he faded away to the darkness. Shuffling and cursing surrounded me, the screams of my best friend was heard, the pain I held away from him now was coursing through his body.
"Please let me do this. This is the way she would accept me. I can't be this monster. She won't have me. She doesn't believe in me" I cried out to them.
My movements were again halted. Pain shot through my body again this time accompanied by strong heat. I cried out struggling against the binds.
"This is not the way, baby" I heard my mother's voice saying in front of me. Opening my eyes, through my tears there she was kneeling before me with tear-stained cheeks, she held my face in her hands. All the love she had for me shone in her eyes.
"Mama" I whispered.
I looked behind her and there stood my siblings. My father and my uncle Caleb all focused on me. Tears streaming down their faces. They were the only ones that can hold me no matter how strong I was but truthfully my brother can do it all by himself. At times like this, I wished I can control my ever-growing powers like him.
"My baby Cay," my mother cried wrapping her arms around me.
"I can't live without her mama." I breathed out.
"Sleep now, brother" I heard Angelo said to me before darkness took over me.

**Emma**
As my son commanded, Caiden fell into a deep sleep, sedating all his powers until we decide to wake him up. My family withdrew their hold on him, one by one they released a tired sigh as I held my eldest son in my arms. The tears continued to flow as I looked down at him, I knew he struggled with his powers but to an extent to give it all up? That I didn't expect.
"This mate? Who is she?" I asked out loud.
"S-She is a human girl in the city. Her name is Rosaline." I heard one of his men answered but I knew they were holding back something.
This was no time to keep shit from me. My son was hurting, turning his back away from his destiny. Something big was coming and Caiden needed to be ready.
"What is it?" I shouted.
The room shook with the power I placed in my words; I inherited a bit of his power while I was pregnant with him in which made both of us nearly the strongest in the family.
"His mate turned him away and to her, we do not exist even after her protector told her of us" he continued.
I looked up at my mate who came and sat next to me stroking his son's hair, "His wolf is fragile so they took it as a full rejection," I said holding Caiden tighter.
"And with Cay's conflicted mind he was about to do what he thought was right," Michael said.
Thank the goddess Micah called us earlier or else I would be losing both sons tonight.
"Get Micah back home. Rebecca sweetheart?" I called out.
"Yes Mama," she said coming to my side.
Her eyes were focused on her brother those two were so close, I know it hurt her to see him be bound tonight but it needed to be done.
"I need you to go with Micah keep him calm we don't know how bad Cay has hurt him. Keep his mind clear " I told her brushing back her bangs from her eyes.
"Yes, mama." She answered quietly. She kissed Caiden's head and rushed out.
Michael took Caiden to his room as some of his men followed making sure their prince was okay. I was still seated on the floor but I knew one more person was with me. I smiled knowing who it was, he came and sat next to me and held my hand.
"I know, my angel. Everything would be alright, it's just the journey to get there. Are you sure you want to stay here with me?" I asked of my second son.
He scoffed then nudged my shoulder. "Sorry I asked," I laughed.
Angelo was my little angel, my quiet strength. He spoke but only when it mattered just like Caiden, he kept close to me also. Angelo hated the spotlight and preferred to stay at the palace tending to the packs surrounding us than being caught up in the business world. One thing I can be certain of is his devotion to his siblings, watching over them as their own special protector.
His older brother is now in trouble and we will both do our best to resolve this.
Tomorrow I'm going to make it my duty to find my son's mate and get her to help save my son.
