Chapter 27

**ARIA**

“Yes. You are right, I will not make any decision without talking to both of you. If we’re really going to get into this we need to stick together.” I reassure Austin who seems nervous about the whole thing. “Will they be okay with this at the pack? I mean you sharing me with Adam.”

“I don’t know about that but I’ll have to talk to the council about it.” He answers me seriously.

“And if they tell you...”

“I’ll pick you. It will always be you. There’s no way I’m going to end up like my father. I’d rather live happily with you in a palace full of hybrids and vampires than without you, as an Alpha at the pack.” He cuts me off.

I think that’s the most romantic thing anyone has ever said to me even though I never thought a sentence like that could be. But I am disappointed that he may have to make this choice because of me. I look at both of them intently.

“It’s the same for me, if being with you means living in that pack away from my own, I’ll do it without hesitation.” Adam says to me.

“Then we’ll definitely do it.” I whisper to myself.

“Yes we will.” Adam confirms to me as he places his hand on mine.

Austin does the same as he takes my other hand in his.

“I know it’s not going to be easy but we can do it...well I think.” I tell them to reassure myself.

“We’re going to have to get some ground rules in place to get off on the right foot and then it’s all about teamwork. We talk about anything that might affect our relationship.” Adam tells us and Austin and I nod. “If a question comes up don’t hesitate, if we can answer it, we’ll answer it. Anyway, when we get back to the pack you can take the time to talk with Rosalie.” He pauses. “As for me, I’ll be gone for two days when we get back, I need to talk to my family.”

“Okay that’s fine with me.” I answer him.

**AUSTIN**

The three days we spent in Boston went very well, I don’t want to brag but I clearly scored with Sal and Cassius, unlike Adam. To tell you the truth, we are a bit alike and I enjoyed the time spent with Aria’s father, he reminded me a bit of my own. Before he went off the deep end.
As soon as we arrived at the pack, Adam left to join his family to talk about the three of us. A threesome... If someone had told me that one day I would find myself in this situation, I would not have believed it.
But before talking to the council about this I wanted to let David know, since he is my best friend but also my Beta and I must say that I expected a different reaction from him.

“You’re really going to do this. This is not normal.” He runs a hand through his hair as he gets up from his chair. “She should choose, she shouldn’t force this on you.”

“She hasn’t forced anything on us. We offered.”

He snorts. “Okay then what did you and Adam smoke to come to this conclusion?” He looks at me with a smirk. “You figured since you’d already fucked the same girl you could do it again with no problem.”

I jump up from my chair and grab him by the collar, “Take back what you just said. Immediately.” I tell him through clenched teeth.

“Maybe someone needs to tell you the truth to your face.” His face relaxes slightly. “You’re more than my friend, you’re my brother so it’s also my job to tell you when you’re doing something stupid.” He pauses and looks at my hand still clinging to his collar, “I shouldn’t have said what I just said. Rachel has nothing to do with Aria.” I release him and he continues. “The council will never agree.”

“Well, I’ll give up my position.”

“Seriously? And what are you going to do? Go live with fucking hybrids and vampires?” He asks me annoyed.

“Some of our people do.”

He shakes his head like I’ve told him the stupidest thing ever. “Let’s say by some miracle the council agrees. If Adam makes Aria a hybrid? You’re going to make me think you’re going to stay a werewolf and watch them spend eternity together.”

I growl because he’s right, the possibility makes me sick. We agreed that we would make the decision together but if that day comes I don’t know what I would do.
He takes a step back and looks at me with a satisfied look. “I think you should think this through, man. Because once you both mark her, you won’t be able to go back. You’re the one with the most to lose in this whole thing so think it through.”

He walks out of my office closing the door behind him. I was so stupid, what did I expect? That he would congratulate me? Maybe he’s right, I let myself be blinded by my desire to mate Aria, my wolf is going crazy and I can’t think straight anymore.

As I’m about to go outside to run, I pass Aria on the stairs.

“Are you going out?” She asks me suprised.

“Yes. I’m going for a run.”

“Can I come with you?”

“I’m going to run in wolf form.” I tell her as I rub the back of my head.

“So what? Don’t you want me to see it?” She asks me with a frown.

" Just the opposite. Come on.” I say as I take her hand, unable to hide my smile.

I’ve been waiting for this for so long, I’m not about to let this opportunity slip away, especially after the crappy day I was having. I am all the more delighted that it is she who is asking me. My wolf has been dying to meet her for so long.
