Chapter 51

**AUSTIN**

I got a call this morning from David's father and tried to be as normal as possible. How could he betray me? He, who stood by my parents and practically raised me. I still can't figure out the connection between him and Riley. He just told me that everything was on track for me to get back into my place.

Aria and I have a hard time understanding all of this because Riley was her best friend and she dragged him into a dangerous situation too. I think this story is working on her too because she has been pensive and distant since yesterday. As soon as we woke up, we separated. Adam had an appointment with his contact at the hospital, Aria is spending the day with Leila and I'm going to work with Alex to see how far back we can go in the exchanges between David's father and Riley. We'd really like to know their motives. I'm still keeping in touch with Garrett and Rosalie to see how everything is going at the pack but I haven't told them what we've heard yet.

Alex hangs up his phone as I enter his office.

"Hello Alpha. I was just on the phone with my aunt and uncle. They're coming to pay us a visit with little Clara."

"Wow that's great. Aria is going to be so happy, the chemistry was really good between those two." I answer her sincerely. "Don't tell her, it will be a surprise."

"As you wish. Okay." He claps his hands. "I started my research and managed to find a couple of messages that got my attention. You can set up on the computer next door. Adam has asked me to increase the infromatic security, alarms and video surveillance for the community so I have quite a bit of work to do."

"Great, I'll take care of the messages." I tell him and move to the spot he indicated.

**ARIA**

Rosalie called me as soon as I was done peeing on the pregnancy test. Her sixth sense works really well and of course I couldn't hide anything from her, so it was with her and Leila on the other end of the phone that we waited for the results.

"Is it shown?" Rosalie asks through the speakerphone.

"Yes." Leila simply answers her, her gaze fixed on me. I'm unable to speak, my throat literally knots.

"And?" Rosalie asks.

"It's positive." I murmur.

"It's good news. You're pregnant with one of your two mates that you're madly in love with and will be with for the rest of your life." Rosalie reassures me.

"I'm happy but... I'm freaking out. Because I don't know if we're going to be safe, if the boys are going to be happy, and especially if I'm going to be a good mother." I hide my face with my hands. "Oh my god what if I'm a horrible mother. I'm only 21 fucking years old."

"Stop it." Leila says to me as she places a hand on my shoulder. "The boys will be thrilled, they'll do anything to keep you and this baby safe. They'll both treat it like it's their own and you'll be a great mom. I can tell, I can feel it, you have it in you."

"Just like what she just said." Rosalie adds and I smile.

I place my hand on my belly, I have a baby inside me.... a baby is growing inside me.

I feel nauseous again and go to the bathroom to vomit. Through the door, I hear Rosalie tell Leila that the nausea and fatigue should subside after the first trimester. It's crazy, I knew this could happen but it's still a surprise because I didn't think it would happen so quickly. I don't know how to break it to Adam and Austin, we never talked about it and now doesn't really seem like a good time.

When I come out, Leila is sitting on the bed looking at something on her phone.

"Rosalie hung up, she had a visitor." She pauses as I sit down next to her. "How are you going to tell them?"

"No idea." I answer her.

"We can try to get some ideas from the internet if you want."

"Aren't you going to see Cassius?" I ask him with a frown.

"He's with Sasha, giving him a tour of the entire community and I think they're going to talk about how to fit him in and what position he might hold." She sighs as she lays back down. "We're going to spend the day together and get to know each other, if that's okay."

"Yes. I'd like that." I tell her sincerely.

**ADAM**

When I got home from my office today, I found Aria, Austin, Leila and Cassius lying on our bed laughing. Apparently they all had a great day. We decided to form a team to retrieve the doctor's blood bags and he gave me the contact information for one of his colleagues who could also supply us.

When I get out of the shower, Aria and Austin are alone in the room. He is lying down, his head on her thighs and she is stroking his hair.

"How would you like to have dinner just the three of us tonight? It's a nice day, we could eat outside." Aria says and we agree as one.

I love spending time with my siblings, but I would like to spend more time with my mate.
I make a call to have someone set up a table for us outside.

Aria has forgotten something upstairs and asks us to wait for her at the table. Austin and I are discussing what he found in Riley's messages when Aria arrives with both hands behind her back. We exchange a questioning look and when she reaches us, she pulls two small boxes out of her back.

"This is for you two but you need to open them together." she announces, handing us each a box.

I open my box without caring what Austin does. He has a pair of mini booties and I turn my head to see that he is holding a pregnancy test in his hand.

"Are you pregnant?" I ask Aria and she nods her uncertain head.

"I'm going to be a dad." Austin murmurs as he stares at the test. "I'm going to be a daddy!" He yells and stands up to take Aria in his arms while I stand still, my feet fixed to the ground.

Aria looks at me with a frown and I understand that she thinks I'm not happy.

I walk over to her and give her a hug. "I've never been so happy in my life. Meeting you has opened up the world of possibilities for me. I love you."

"I love you too. I love you both." she says looking between us two.

Austin steps behind her to cuddle her.
