Chapter 26

I got home and saw Ivana watching a movie in the sitting room like everything seemed normal to her, first, she kissed a guy, then turned the same guy down, and now she was acting like a princess in this mansion, how dramatic.

“Welcome, Robin.” She waved at me with a smile, but I scorned and turned to walk upstairs. “He is a snub anyway.” I heard her mutter but ignored her. All I want to do is stay away from her as far as possible, a person like her could be dangerous to one's emotions.

I took my bath, dressed in comfortable shorts and a white top before coming downstairs. I took some cheese and drink from the fridge and settled down on one of the sofas, going through my phone while I ate.

“Can I have some?” I heard Ivana’s voice and looked up from my phone, surprised to see her leaning so close to me with her big blue eyes twinkling like the stars. “Can I?” She repeated.

“No.” I looked away from her, turning my attention back to my phone.

“What are you doing?” She peered at my phone and I sniffed the light fragrance that emitted from her body. She must have taken a bath with rose water. I turned my face to look at her and she turned her face to look at me with a smile on her lips, we were at a kissing distance, my eyes glanced down her lips, they were plump, perhaps the aftereffect of Hinn’s kiss.

“Move! “ I pushed her head with my index finger.

“Ouch!” She glared at me and got up from the chair. “Must you act this way towards me?” She raised her voice and I wonder what her deal is this time. “Although you and Katherine are friends or in a relationship, can’t you at least be friends with me?”

I scoffed. “Relationship?” I raised my brow knowing she had seen me and Katherine in the practice room. “Don’t delude yourself,” I told her, and who was she trying to be friends with? She was crazy to even think of that.

“I am not lying, I saw it, you held her hands and gazed at her with a soft and tender gaze at the practice room, you love her.”

I rolled my eyes and got up from the chair I sat on. “What?” I smirked. “Who was kissing Hinn today Huh?!” I asked her coldly and she blinked in shock.

“That…Y-you saw that?” She stammered, sure enough, she had thought her secret was secret enough. “He did it, not me.”

I narrowed my eyes. “But you enjoyed it?” I sized her up, she was someone I should avoid, even if she was that girl in the past. I had met her once and just liked her smiles and eyes, but now it is better to stay away from her like the plague.

“I did not…” She was about to say something, but I interrupted her.

”Why don’t you just date him?” I cut her off before she could complete her speech.

“He is just a friend and…”

“Just a friend of butt,” I smirked. “He is just a friend but you let him kiss you.” I shook my head at her in disgust, this was why I would never fall in love with any lady. “Just move.” I brushed past her.

“Robin.” Ivana held my hand and stepped to my front and there was something in her eyes that I couldn’t understand. “You misunderstand…”

“Why should I?” I flung her hands away from mine. “I don’t even have anything to do with you.” I walked past her heading upstairs and I heard her footsteps following me. “Stop following me!” I shouted coldly.

“I am sorry.” She apologized.

“You don’t owe me an apology, I wasn’t the one going about kissing guys.” I walked upstairs and noticed she had stopped following me then I heard a loud stomp of her feet and turned around to see her glaring at me.

“I wasn’t going about kissing guys, it was only Hinn Carlos.” She said coldly. “Why am I even pleading to you who likes Katherine!” she shouted and stomped back downstairs.

She was a fu*king chameleon!

I walked into my room and banged the door. I picked up my guitar, the audition will be in two days and I haven’t come up with anything yet. I sat on my desk, holding my pen. I glanced at my notepad and a smile spread through my face. There was no need to think much on what to sing, there was already a song right here in this house and it was none other than the love of a foolish girl.

I rubbed my hands on my eyes and stretched out my hands. I have done a lot of composing today. I glanced up at the clock, it was 6:30 in the evening, my mother would be back soon and I would have to taste some of her lovely meals again.

I walked out of my room heading over to the living room, I heard the sound of plates shattering to the ground in the kitchen, I pinched the corner of my brows, there was only one rat in this house and that is none other than Ivana. Who knows what she is up to this time.

I made my way to the kitchen and there she was, destroying the whole kitchen with her clumsiness, her hair was tied backward, charcoal on her cheek, her gloves stained with frying oil, and the whole kitchen was messed up, worst of it all she was making burnt chips with a kitchen filled with smoke.

I rushed over and off the gas, opened up the window to let the smoke out. “What the fu*k are you doing?!” I shouted at her as I turned around.

She was holding the frying spoon in her hand and her apron was messed up. “I was making dinner.” She said softly.

“Making dinner?” I barked at her. “You were going to burn the whole house down with your stupidity!” I glanced at the burnt pancake, if I hadn’t come downstairs, I would have been up waiting for the fire department to come to rescue me.

“Who fu*the king told you that you can touch the things in this house? You are stupid and can’t cook. What were you trying to prove huh? That you are a good girl and can make dinner for all the family? Does this look like your home, does any of these look like your parents belonging, do you have any idea how much these meals you wasted cost, can you afford it, are also a parasite that won’t rest until you burn down this mansion and lead I am my mother to be homeless as you are?”

I went on and on as I watched tears fill her eyes. “You are just silly, you know what, you should fucking leave this house and don’t put others in your misery!”

“Stop it!” She barked and threw down the spoon she held in her hands. “Shut the fu*k up!” She shouted and I scoffed at the guts of this girl.

“What did you just say?” My eyes were aflame, no girl has ever dared to tell me to shut up, and this inch got the guts to do that.

“I said shut up!” She raised her chin. “What? Would you hit me?” She wipes off the tears in her eyes. “Just because I came to live here doesn’t mean I am homeless, just because I try to help in making dinner for your mother who might be tired when she comes home doesn’t make me stupid, just because I burnt the food doesn’t make me silly, at least I made efforts, at least I am considerate, so nothing gave you the right to treat me as cold as you did.”

I scoffed. “Don’t be sentimental, no matter what you say, you are just some wanderer and idiot with no sense, it is better you leave this house, that way I would stop treating you as cold as I am doing

right now.”

“Why should I leave huh?” She asked me another stupid question that doesn’t make any sense since the reason was obvious already. “You have no say whether or not I should leave this house, you were not the one who asked me to come here, I will only leave if your mother tells me to and I hope you get that straight in your head.”

I clenched my fist in anger, this was the true identity of this girl, she was no angel, she was not even the cute girl I adore, she was just a sharp tongue and a silly person.

“One last thing, to hell with being friends with you, I no longer care, and you can act as cold as you wish, I am getting used to it already.” She took off her apron and ran out of the kitchen to God-knows-where.

That was supposed to be my line and I was the one who had to leave first. I ran my hand through my hair, now I regret one thing and that was coming downstairs. She was just so unbearable and in that way, I have to find a way to make her leave this mansion.
