CHAPTER 23 : I'm Sorry
“Are you okay?” Clell reached out to her, grabbing both of her arms to check she got any bruises.
“I’m o—Wait! What are you doing here? Don’t touch me!”
“Why are you run---Oh! Is that guy following you?!” He growled upon noticing a weird guy eyeing at Luna’s direction.
“None of your business.”
But Clell was already walking towards the guy. “What are you doing?” Clell confronted the guy, gritting his teeth.
Luna came after him to stop him as she didn’t want any commotion this late at night. “Clell, stop! Stop acting like you care for me!”
“The hell was that supposed to mean?” Still enraged and jealous about the creep that had been following, Clell snapped back at Luna, making Luna take a step back.
Upon seeing Luna’s scared facial expression, Clell snapped out from his anger and jealousy. Their brief argument was enough for the other guy to run away, leaving Luna and Clell alone.
“I..I’m…I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to raise my voice at you.”
“Stay away from me.”
“Luna, please. Let’s talk this out.”
“Stay. Away. From. Me.”
Clell extended his hands to Luna, pleading for her to come closer—hoping for her to give him another chance—but the way he raised his voice at Luna made her a bit frantic. She didn’t want to go near him.
“Wait! Don’t run away from me. Please!” Clell managed to catch up to her, hugging her from behind “—I won’t ever hurt you. Not physically. Not emotionally. Please hear me out.” His voice cracking in middle of his pleas as his tears started falling from his eyes. Luna felt every tear drops from her shoulders, each one made her want to succumb to him again.
They remained in that position for a while—feet embedded on the ground, Clell’s arms locked around Luna’s body, and both of their hearts entangled together. Nobody wanted to move, not even an inch, even when it started raining.
“I’m sorry, Luna.” And Luna finally let her emotions pour, allowing her tears to fall along with the raindrops in the sky. Being soaked under the rain and the emotional roller coaster that she was facing made her feel more sick and dizzy.
“Please.” But Luna still didn’t answer him—she was afraid to open her mouth because she knew deep inside her that she would take him again in a blink of an eye, but she didn’t want to be acquainted with a werewolf again.
“Please, Clell. Stop. Don’t do this to me. Please.”
“Luna, please. No. Listen to me, one last time. One more chance. Please.” Clell then turned Luna to face him and cupped her face with of his hands. He didn’t drop his gaze on her, making sure she saw the sincerity in his eyes. “I love you.”
Luna closed her eyes, refusing to give in. They were both drenched now and shivering because of the pouring rain.
“Are you alright? Luna? Luna? Hey, wake up! Shit.” Clell didn’t expect Luna to collapse in front of him. It was so sudden that he didn’t know what to do, but then managed to get himself together and carried Luna to his car.
He put her on shotgun, put on her seatbelt and took off his hoody to make her warm. He gently caressed her face and kissed her forehead before heading to the driver’s seat.
“Ugghhh. This is all my fault. I kept saying that I will take care of her, but here I am being the cause of her heartache.” And sped up to reach his home right away.
When they arrived at his house, he carried Luna to his room and laid her on his bed without realizing that her clothes were still wet.
“Right! Her clothes.” He said and went to his closet to find a big shirt for her to wear.
“But should I really undress her?” Clell deliberated for a while as he didn’t want to disrespect her.
“But this is for her own good. For her health.” He reasoned out and started taking off her shirt, revealing her breast. He stared at her upper body for a minute or two and started blushing.
“It’s kind of getting hot in here.” Clell then slowly unzipped her pants, but this time he was closing her eyes.
It took him long, but he finally managed to change Luna’s clothes—upper clothing for his shirt was already big enough, covering even half of her legs. Although Clell still covered her with a blanket just to make sure as he put his hand on her forehead to feel her temperature.
“She’s so hot.” He said to himself and felt guilty afterwards when he realized what he said. “Wait, that didn’t sound right.”
“I should get something to wash her up.” Clell then headed downstairs to their kitchen to get a big bowl and went back to his bathroom to fetch some water, then to his closet again to get a small towel.
After preparing everything, he sat beside Luna and stared at her mesmerizing beauty as he gently rubbed her arms with the towel soaked in the warm water and then her legs. Even until now, her beauty never failed to make his heart skip a beat. He couldn’t help himself and gave her a peck on her forehead again then on her lips, but then started feeling guilty again for he felt like he’s taking advantage of her unconscious self.
“What are you doing Clell?” He reprimanded himself and abruptly stood up from his bed when Luna moved a little.
“Oh god! That scared me. I thought I’m gonna have a heart attack.”
Afraid that he might do something again that’ll wake-up Luna, he decided to stay at the sofa instead and read some emails for his work. Occasionally, he would check up on her to know if she’s already awake or not.
“I still need a lot of stuff to do in the office, but she needs me more. I should call for a day off.”
After checking and reading all his emails, he went downstairs and check if their chef was still awake.
“Yes, young master? Are you looking for me?”
“Sorry for this late request, but can you make some soup for breakfast tomorrow?”
Their chef was quite confused with his request, but agreed to him nevertheless.
“Yes, young master.”
“Also, you can just call me when it’s ready. I’ll get some myself and will just eat in my room.”
“Noted, Sir Clell.”
