CHAPTER 39 : Home
“After everybody rested and recovered a bit, let’s go home to our territory.” Clell said, and walked away from where everyone gathered along, tugging Luna along with him.
“I would love to listen to your thoughts and suggestions, but I think it’s best if we both rest for a while, too.”
Luna looked at Clell and scanned him. “Are you okay?”
“Just a little headache, nothing too serious. Let’s go to our tent?”
She just smiled at him and nodded, and assisted Clell as they walk towards their tent. When they were finally inside, Luna helped Clell to get into a comfortable position on the bed made of stack of large leaves. Before she could even go to her side, Clell grabbed her hand and pulled her closer to his face, their lips almost touching.
“This time don’t run away from me.” he said. His breath brushing to Luna’s lips, sending electricity down through her spine. Her eyes widened in shock and Clell smiled at her reaction, but before she could even say anything, she felt his lips touched hers. They shared a passionate kiss.
“Let’s rest now?” Clell said right after their kiss, almost out of breath.
Luna smiled at him and nodded, then proceeded to her side. As soon as she lied down, Clell held her hand tight and turned to face her. Their forehead touched lightly, Clell then closed his eyes.
“You can stop staring now and close your eyes.” He teased her and smiled.
Luna was taken aback a bit, but she smiled at him as well even if he couldn’t see her, and then closed her eyes afterwards. They then fell asleep in that position.
A day had already passed since the night Clell and the Winter Pack rescued Luna and made a statement to the Summer Pack. They went home safe and sound, the Summer Pack didn’t follow them at all—maybe they got scared or maybe they were still shocked about what had happened during those supposed to be peaceful night.
Luna woke up earlier than everyone else. It was her first time sleeping inside Clell’s bedroom without any conflicts between the both of them that she also fell asleep peacefully and at ease last night.
She turned to face Clell and stared at his handsome and tranquil sleeping face for too long and traced—gently and lightly—his nose with her ring finger. Clell furrowed his eyebrows in response, still asleep, which made Luna smile.
“What did I do in my past life to deserve you.” Luna whispered, the smile on her face wouldn’t seem to wear off.
She stayed like that for a while before Clell finally stirred and woke up. “Good morning, my princess.” Clell greeted her with his low, deep and slightly hoarse sleepy voice. He then placed his hand on Luna’s face, his thumb caressing her cheeks.
“Good morning, my love.” Luna replied. The warmth of her rosy cheeks and the sound of her voice made Clell smile.
“It’s time to formally introduce you to my parents.”
“What? Right now?”
“Yes, I think they are having breakfast downstairs. They still haven’t seen you even though you slept here for a few times already.”
“But…will they ever like me?”
“I am sure they will. I’ve told them a lot about you and told them some of our dates.”
“I wish I could do that to my parents as well, but they don’t care about me.”
“My love, I am your family now and I care about you..deeply.”
“Thank you, Clell.” Luna said in a faint voice. She looked straight at his eyes, trying to convey the feeling of gratitude that she felt inside her heart.
“For what?”
“For accepting me for who I am. For not giving up on me no matter how much I push you away. For wearing your heart out of your sleeves. For making me feel my worth. For making me believe in myself. For everything.” She responded not being able to hold back her tears.
“Sssshhhh. Don’t cry. I hate to see you cry, it hurts to see you cry. And you deserve everything in the world. You are an amazing person, Luna, believe me.”
“Thank you.” She uttered again.
“No, thank you!” Clell replied.
“For what?” It was now Luna’s turn to ask.
“For giving me a chance. For allowing me in your life. For loving me back. For making me believe in love. For making my mundane days brighter. Ever since I met you, I always anticipate waking up in the morning because that means I get to see you again. Those times that we were fighting were so horrible, I wasn’t able to sleep well. I was miserable. I hope that won’t happen again. I pray to all our ancestors that it won’t happen again. I don’t want to lose you again. I might be the strongest in the pack, but when it comes to you, I don’t know I become so weak. You are my weakness. I love you so much.”
Luna kissed his lips in response and Clell kissed her back. They shared a long passionate kiss, occasionally stopping in between to gasp some air and breathe, and continued kissing again. Cell’s hand started exploring Luna’s body. He got a hold of her hips and pulled her on top of him. Luna’s hands were on Clell’s chest, using it as support he pulled her on top of him.
Clell’s hands started moving upward, slowly, as if he was memorizing every inch and contour of her body. He reached just below her breasts; his fingers gently reached up to her nipples. Luna flinched a little as her nipples were sensitive now that they were both aroused and heated.
She released a soft and hot breath just an inch away his lips which made him bit his lower lip and started kissing her again. His tongue moving in, meeting hers. It was passionate. It was deep. They were in the zone, until someone knocked on the door.
“Master Clell, the food is already ready. Your parents are already waiting downstairs.” Their maid said through the door.
“Ooopsie.” Luna released a soft giggle.
“Damn, you are so hot.” Clell responded, staring intently on her eyes.
