CHAPTER 40 : Fresh Start

Luna was still in cloud nine, thinking about what had happened in the morning. Clell finally introduced her to his parents, and she finally officially met them.
She was now back into Clell’s room, laying on the bed and randomly smile at the same time.
“What are you smiling about?”
“Nothing. It’s just that I am happy.”
“Happy? About what? What makes my girl this giddy?”
Hearing the phrase “my girl” made Luna feel butterflies in her stomach, she still couldn’t believe that they finally made it work. That they finally hit it off. That the guy in front of her was hers. She smiled again.
Clell went closer to her and started tickling her. “Stoooooppp.” Luna squeal with soft giggles.
She started wiggling her body trying to push away Clell’s hands. Clell kept tickling her still until the atmosphere and vibe started to change, the sexual tension between started going intense. Clell stared at Luna eyes so ardently and passionately. He started leaning towards her, closing the distance between their faces. Luna, on the other hand, closed her eyes, ready to accept Clell’s lips.
It didn’t take long for Clell to take the initiative and kiss Luna’s lips, he went in and kissed her gently and passionately.
Luna reciprocated, trying to convey her feelings through the kiss; the feeling of gratefulness and love.
They stopped kissing as the sun glared on Luna’s face.
“It’s afternoon already. We need to go.” She said softly with a tinge of excitement in her voice. Clell smiled at her, looking at her face and slightly tapping her nose with his finger.
“Why are you so cute?” He muttered. Luna’s cheeks started going red.
“I see I still have that effect on you. My words—I mean I still make you blush.” He teased. Luna looked away as she felt a little bit embarrassed which made Clell release a cute chuckle.
“Come on, let’s get ready.” He continued.
Luna’s eyes sparkled as she heard Clell. It didn’t go unnoticed by Clell’s observant eyes, he then commented about it, “You’re such a cutie.”
Luna stood up from the bed and reached out to get her robe and towel, she then proceeded to the bathroom and left Clell with a peck on the lips.
“Always excited when I do things with you.” She said and winked.
Clell was left on the bed hanging and wanting for more kisses, but he knew that they needed to go out for Luna.
It took Luna around forty minutes to finish taking a shower and Clell went in to the bathroom right away after Luna went out, of course, leaving Luna a sweet peck on her cheek.
“You look gorgeous.” He complimented her which made Luna blush again.
“Stop, you’re making me blush again.”
Clell beamed at her and then went inside the bathroom afterwards, Luna started changing her clothes and doing her skincare.
She looked at the scorching sun outside and reached out for her sunblock on top of Clell’s room desk.
“Hmmm. Should I get a vanity mirror? It’s nice to have one here.”
But then shrugged her thoughts off right away and focused on the matter at hand.
“We’re finally starting our training today, but I don’t want to come home burnt like a toasted bread. I still would want to look pretty in front of Clell, so I better put on a lot of sunscreen and sunblock.”
She then opted to wear a black crop top and a denim shorts, then paired it with a pair of black army boots.
“I’m good to go.” She told Clell.
“Okay.” Clell responded from the bathroom.
“Are you not done depositing yet?” She joked and laughed at the same time.
“What do you mean?” Clell responded with a confused tone.
“Depositing. Poop.” She replied and burst out laughing afterward.
“You’re making fun of me. I am not. I am just taking a bath. I am almost done. Why did you get changed so fast?”
“I didn’t put on any make up or something.”
“I’ll be out in a minute and will be ready in no time.”
After a few minutes, they finally went down from Clell’s bedroom and headed to the winter pack’s territory.
“Before anything else, I love you.”
“I love you, too, bub.”
“Are you ready?”
“Always.”
They started walking towards the training area while holding hands. When they reached there, Clell grabbed Luna’s shoulder and gave her words of encouragement.
“Unfortunately, I won’t be the one training you today. I think the old ones or veterans in the pack would be of so much help to you in this aspect, but I will never leave and will watch from the sides. I know this will be easy for you. I love you.” He said and gave Luna a kiss on her forehead, then squeezed her shoulders gently.
Luna smiled at Clell before she walked slowly towards the center of the training area where her mentor stood.
“Good afternoon, Miss Luna.” Her mentor greeted her as she reached a decent distance to where he stood.
“Hi. Take it easy on me, please.” She greeted back and smiled.
“Don’t worry, today’s training will greatly depend on you than me.” he smiled warmly at her.
“Oh, what’s today’s training about?”
“I think we should go back to the where everything starts—your shifting.”
“What? But I can shift.”
“We know you can, but can you shift right away?”
“That..Uhmm..Maybe. I guess.”
The mentor smiled at Luna’s unwariness and reassured her. “Shifting for a longer time would not be a merit for you in battles, Miss Luna. You need to be able to shift right away before the enemy can give a strike at you.”
“I know, but..”
“We all know how shifting affected you or traumatized you. Clell already told me about it and that’s why I am here. I am here to help you and make sure you can shift in a snap.”
“Thank you.” She replied, releasing a heavy sigh at the same time. “Do you think I can?”
“Of course, you can, you did before. I am sure you can do it again. Let’s start.”
