Chapter 11

Athena's Point of View

I stayed in his arms. It was hard for me to leave Arius' arms. My body doesn't want to. I felt home in his arms and couldn't believe that I would feel this to a vampire.

What is going on with me?

I know that I am distracted now because of him. He was even the reason why I didn't continue going back to the place where I really belonged.

“I thought you really wanted to leave me…”

I bit my upper lips when he mentioned those words. My lips don't want to move. No words would form to my lips.

“Because honestly speaking… I don't really want you to leave me. My life would be sad when I won't see your face,” he continued.

The reason why I still keep my mouth shut is because I don't know what to tell him. My heart was only beating so fast that I chose to keep silent than to speak. I want to cherish this moment when a man was hugging me. I don't even understand why.

Arius had this charisma that I couldn't pretend that I didn't notice. It's hard to pretend and I admit that I was really attracted to him.

This is the first time that I was attracted to my enemy.

“Why are you acting like this, Arius? What's your motive?” I inquired after I let him go.

Arius furrowed his brows as he stared at me. It seems like he's reading my mind.

“What are you talking about, Athena? My only motive for you was to let you know that we're not evil. Maybe some of us can kill, but not all of us. You are special in my life and all of this happened when I met you.”

I turned my gaze away after Arius mentioned those words. My face was blushing and I did my best to remove the blushing.

“Whatever.”

I uttered and kept going inside. Arius just chuckled while he was following me. I went to the kitchen and couldn't even believe that there would be a kitchen here.

“What do you want to eat or just tell me if you want anything, Athena?”

A smirk formed on my lips when he mentioned those words. The plan that I was proposing last time appears in my head. There are many things that are playing into my head. I want to kill all of his allies. All the vampires should be dead. But when I was thinking of killing Arius… It seems like I don't want that to happen.

“You're asking me about what I want?”

I even went to where Arius was. He's still standing and when I reached him, I walked around him.

“Just tell me…”

“I want my weapons back, Arius. I will start my mission this evening and now that my wound healed, there are things that I had to do.”

Arius sighed from what I had said. He didn't speak for about one minute, but later on that he started speaking to me.

“If that's what you want, then I could give you that, Athena. But in one condition…”

I furrowed my brows at what he uttered. This demon vampire king really loves the condition. However, I was desperate to get my weapon, so I will agree with his condition.

“What would the demon vampire king's condition be, huh?”

Arius smirked from what I uttered. Arius even crossed his arms while looking at me and I couldn't stop myself from getting attracted to him once again.

“When you're on a mission, don't ever push me away because I want to come with you. I wanted to make sure that you are always safe.”

Arius' words made me smile. He even furrowed his brows while looking at me.

“Just admit to me that you're afraid of losing me, Arius. Don't worry because I am not difficult to convince.” I mumbled, which made him smirk.

“Just wait for me here because I will give you the weapons that you're looking at.” He uttered and I just smiled. Arius used his vampire speed to leave, so I was given the chance to roam inside the room.

I don't know where Arius got his money. He's a vampire and I didn't expect that vampires were also rich.

“What are the things that you're hiding, Arius?”

I mentioned and started walking to where the kitchen is. I will prepare my food because I'm now hungry. It's just so sad because they don't have ginger, onions and garlic here. Well, I already know why.

“Do you want to cook?”

I jumped when I heard Arius' voice behind my back. I wasn't expecting him that fast.

“Damn you!” I cussed.

“I'd never expected that a hunter like you was still nervous.”

As Arius mentioned those words, he's laughing at me. It seemed like he's enjoying my reaction earlier and I just shook my head to him.

“Whatever, Arius. So, where's my weapon now?” I asked, and he showed me the bow and arrow.

A smile formed on my lips as I saw my weapons. I take it from him and even start placing soft kisses to my bow and arrow.

“I have one wish, Athena,”

I abruptly turned my head at him when Arius mentioned those words. I furrowed my brows while staring at him.

“What?”

“I wish to be the bow and arrows. I want to feel your kiss because I have this feeling that it's too good to be kissed by the woman I desired most.”

I felt my mouth fall open because of what he mentioned. My heart thumped so fast, and I didn't know what to say.

“W-what the hell you are talking about?”

“I don't want to keep repeating myself, Athena. What you heard would be enough.”

I was left dumbfounded because of what he mentioned and because of that, I even turned my head away to avoid his gaze. I know Arius was only mocking me. He's not serious about that and I shouldn't get affected. I know it's only his way to get my attention.

And f*ck, he succeeded this time.
