Chapter 13: Anger Written In Red
Blossom's POV
"Room Service," a voice called. Jevan stirred in the sheets before he got up and went to the door. He came back, pushing a food cart towards the bedroom.
I sat up eagerly. I was hungry.
"Allow me to serve you," he spoke with a smile as he handed me a plate of sweet potato pie and chicken on a bed of greens.
"Oh my, this is better than I've anticipated," I said and continued to stuff my face.
"Just wait until dessert."
After the main-course meal, Jevan fed dessert to me. Ice-cream with chocolate coated strawberries on top, and when we were down to the last strawberry, he bit the bottom of it and moved towards my lips.
I acted accordingly, biting and eating the other half until our bare lips met. His grey pair of eyes, along with his handsome face, was marveling at me. His soft lips sealed mine and the tip of his tongue led to the entrance I allowed.
My heart raced. The butterflies had transformed into an eagle because the now feeling was bolder and braver at the same time.
I pulled him closer and our bodies went to the mattress. I melted more with every flick of his tongue on mine. My small chest heaved in and out when my breathing increased.
I shivered when his hands started roaming my body. Inch by inch, to my sensitive spots. My toes curled when he left my mouth and latched onto my neck, kissing and sucking.
I couldn't help myself but to moan which drove him into deeper actions.
Am I ready for this?
Is this a good time?
Will he get mad if I tell him that we should stop? No, he wouldn't. He's not like that.
But I don't wanna stop him. He's my boyfriend. We made it official. There's nothing to be afraid of. Right?
He stopped kissing me and looked me dead in the eyes as if sensing my confusions.
"You're questioning yourself, aren't you?" he asked.
O. M. G. How did he know that?
"I was. But not anymore," I answered.
"I know you're not ready, Blossom, and that's okay. I enjoy kissing you."
"Are you angry?"
"What? No. Baby, I want you to be ready for this at your own time. I'll never force you to do anything you don't want to do or not ready to do."
"But you might get impatient with me and leave me for someone else."
"I'm not going to do that. Look at me."
I looked at him.
"I love you," he said.
My heart raced even more. Jevan Hollen just said he loves me. Little, poor, simple me.
"I love you too," I responded to him and we hugged each other.
___________
We spent the remainder of the day in the swimming pool and watching anime.
Jevan made me feel as if we were the only two people in the world and when I'm with him, I felt like I belonged instead of outcast.
I loved everything about him. His personality, his voice, his manners, the way he'll put anyone in check real quick without being totally disrespectful, his sweet manly fragrance, and his darling grey eyes that I admire so much.
I was wrapped up with him. So wrapped up that I forgot where I was.
______
I woke up again with Jevan's arm around me like a protective shield. The room was in complete darkness now, the only source of light were the diamonds in the ceiling.
I stirred, wondering what time it was. I reached for my cellphone in my pocket.
5:30 A.M!!!!
"5:30 A.M!! But this means we've sent the entire night here. My mother is going to kill me! Jevan, wake up. We have to leave!"
Jevan stirred, opening his sleepy eyes. "Huh?"
"We slept here. My mother is going to be home any minute now. We have to hurry. She's going to skin me alive!"
I was in panicking mode.
"Calm down. We'll leave right now."
He got out of the bed half naked and...
'Damn! He looks good! When did he took his shirt off though?
His body is like the perfect sculpture that belongs on the world's largest display for all to see.'
"Blossom, are you coming?"
Shaking myself from the trance I was in, we headed to the door and out of the hotel. His car was already waiting on him. We got in and he drove us homeward.
________
Fear was an understatement when I saw my mother waiting in the doorway to the entrance of our house. Angry written in red on her face. Even Jevan noticed her expression.
"I'm getting out with you," he said. We slowly got out of his car and walked towards the belly of the beast.
"Good morning ma," I greeted. She looked at her wristwatch without answering.
"Good morning Mrs. Wright. Blossom and I...." but my mother held up her hand, stopping his speech.
I swallowed.
"Ma, we were out for a while and lost track of time. We're sorry. It's not going to happen again."
"You damn right it's not going to happen again because you're to end this so-call relationship. IMMEDIATELY!" Her last word shot out like a raging bullet, making both Jevan and I flinched.
"Ma, you can't do this." I tried to stand my ground.
"You're lucky we're in America and discipline is more like abuse here, but you just continue to push it and watch how fast I'll slap the melanin off you!"
"Mrs. Wright, that's unnecessary. I'm no stranger to your daughter or you. Why try to tear us apart?" Jevan cut in.
"You've contaminated my daughter! I can smell you all over her! She's fighting in school over you, talking back to me and disobeying my orders when I tell her to stay at home! I'm not going to allow my only child to fall prey to rich boys like you.
All you do is take pity on the poor and twist us around your fingers but not today! You're to stay away from Blossom."
"As you wish ma'am," Jevan said and turned to leave.
My heart burst and tears flooded my eyes.
"Jevan! No! Don't listen to her!" I cried after him and grabbed him by the arm.
"Blossom, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I've got you into trouble with your mom but maybe she's right."
"No! She's not right! This isn't fair! She can't do this to us."
"She's your mom."
"I know that but she doesn't know a damn thing about us!"
"Blossom Wright! That's enough! Get inside this house before I drag you in it by your hair!" my mother shouted at me.
"Go inside," Jevan spoke in my ear.
"Nooooo," I cried, still latching onto his arm. I heard the footsteps of my mother approaching.
Jevan brushed my hands away but I wasn't having it, however, my mother firmly grabbed me when she reached me and did exactly what she said she was going to do.
She then took my cellphone and threw it after Jevan, shattering it on the pavement before him.
"Get off my property before I call the cops!" She yelled at him and pushed me inside before shutting the door after her.
I screamed and ran to the window to peer outside. I saw him sitting in his car, staring right back at me with the saddest expression I've ever seen on a person.
"I'm so sorry," he mouthed.
"I love you," I mouth back.
I dropped to the floor when he started his car and hit the accelerator. Like flash, he was gone.
