Chapter 54: Confessions Of A Bitch

Blossom's POV

I was enraged. My friends had left and I was busying myself in the kitchen chopping vegetables with the biggest knife I could have find.

If the vegetables could have gotten up and ran away, they would.

Finally, he came home. I heard his footsteps as he got closer and closer to where I was still chopping vegetables.

"Good evening, baby. How are you doing?" he asked and came to kiss me but I moved away without a word.

"Is something wrong?" he asked.

I chopped more angrily.

"You're hurting that carrot, baby," he said again and put his bag aside, "I know something is wrong with you, what's wrong? Talk to me."

"Haven't Adobi talked to you enough?" I finally spoke and stopped chopping.

"Adobi....?"

"Don't play stupid with me, Jevan Hollen. Nina and Sophia saw you two at the restaurant together!" I yelled at him.

"Okay. I was there with her but...."

"I can't believe you! I can't believe you would do this to me. You claimed that you loved me and you want to be a real family with our son and all that bullshit and you're out having lunch with your ex!"

"Hold on. You're blowing things out of proposition here, Blossom."

"Oh am I really? Just admit that you want her back."

"I don't want Adobi back. This is crazy."

"Then why give the bitch a new engagement ring, huh? I've been thinking about this ever since my friends left and it makes perfect sense. She popped the question to you in Paris so now you're popping the question to her as a man should."

"Blossom, listen to me."

"No, I'm done listening!" I argued.

With one quick movement of his hand, he took the knife away from me and scooped me up and pinned me over his shoulder. He carried me out of the kitchen and into the living room.

"Where's Jason?" he asked me as he set me down on the ten seater.

"In his room," I answered.

"Blossom, I met with Adobi for one reason and one reason only and I didn't put any ring on her finger. Someone else did. She called me and said she had something to tell me which involved you. And she explained that Brooke confessed to setting your mom up with the whole jewelry stealing fiasco."

"WHAT! I knew it. I knew that bitch did that to my mom and me. Jevan, we have to do something," I said as tears filled my eyes.

"We do. I explained it to my father when I went back to the office but he said Adobi's information has no weight because it can be dismissive as 'hear-say'. We need a confession from Brooke herself."

"I'll get her to confess," I said.

"No. I think I should do it. She'll just argue with you and there's no way she'll admit because she'll expect you to retaliate. I should do it."

"How are you going to do it?"

"By pretending I want her back."

I froze for a minute or so. "Jevan, she's going to sink her claws into you before you could even reject her."

"Baby, don't you trust me?" he asked me.

"I do."

He smiled at me and took my hands into his. His eyes locking on my ring finger.

"What?" I asked, feeling the butterflies being form in my stomach again.

"I want to hear those exact words on our wedding day," he answered.

"Jevan, why you always say the sweetest, most perfect things ever?"

"Come here."

Our lips met like two waves on the sea. He kissed me so hungrily yet seductively. I saddled him on the couch when my wantings increased.

"Should we take this upstairs?" he asked between kisses.

"Yes daddy," I answered.

Again, he scooped me up and took me upstairs. I was beginning to love the way he did that to me.

______________

The next day, Jevan and I drove separately to a hangout where Brooke usually be.

He went on and I stayed behind in my own car, looking on from the parking lot. Jevan said just to add a sense of comfort, I should follow.

He was wearing a wire and I was listening in on the conversation from my car.

Jevan's POV

I walked into the small diner and immediately spotted Brooke talking into her cellphone. She was sharing a table with herself. I sat on the opposite side of her, patiently waiting for her to finish her conversation.

A slim waitress walked towards me. "Good morning, sir. What can I get you? We have a special apple pie today. How about a slice?"

"Just a cup of coffee for me please."

She nodded before leaving to fetch my order.

"Jevan? Jevan Hollen. Well, look what the cat dragged in," Brooke said as she noticed me.

"Hi Brooke," I answered.

She got up from her chair and joined my table. "What are you doing here? I've never seen you here before."

"A man can't try to get away," I asked.

"Trouble in paradise?" she smirked.

"Understatement of the century."

"Well I'm sorry to hear so but I really thought you would be glowing and all that stuff since you broke up with Adobi and took Blossom back. Your highschool sweetheart and mother of your child," she said as she twirled her fingers to each word.

"You have no idea what it's like coming home to her. Everything is a problem. It's like I can't have a female friend and she got her friends filling her head with crap. She's getting so insecure and it's annoying me," I lied but I needed Brooke to let her guard down.

"That's what you left me for. You and I could have been such a powerful couple and have the greatest merger ever. And we still can be."

I eyed her, trying to look as if I was believing her words. My facial expression softened.

"You don't mean that," I told her.

"I do. I do mean that. Jevan, you and I belong together. I've been trying to get you to see that forever. But you failed."

The waitress came back with my coffee.

I sipped slowly. "Maybe I was wrong all these years. Wrong for pushing you away for Blossom and Adobi. You didn't deserve that. You had lots of flaws but I should have excepted them."

"Thank you. Finally, you're getting this. With age, comes wisdom. I forgive you."

"Thank you. What I want to do right now is dump Blossom."

"She's such a bitch. No wonder Hunter dumped her too. You should take a page out of his book and act quickly."

My blood boil but I managed to nod.

She smiled widely at me and took my hands. "So, are you going to fix us after all these years?"

"I want to. But I don't know if you really love me or not."

"Jevan, I would move earth to be with you."

"Prove it," I challenged.

"Fine. Let's get out of here then."

I knew she wouldn't confess anything in the public. Brooke and I got into my car and I signalled for Blossom to follow behind in hers.

We drove to Brooke's apartment. She was eager for taking her clothes off, typical Brooke, but I got her to keep it on and talk instead.

She reached for a bottle of wine.

"Brooke, I just might change my mind and have my way with you. And if I do, I want you in the soberest mind ever," I said as I pressed against her.

I hated everything about this moment right now.

"Oh Jevan, you're as smooth as ever," she said. She put the wine back and flopped down on her sofa. I rest my head in her lap.

She was so smelly down there that I thought I was laying in a pile garbage.

I surpassed the vomit which wanted to come up. I sat upwards instead and that relieved me from the catastrophe of Brooke's vagina.

"What do you want to talk about?" she spoke.

" I don't know. Maybe the memories we had in highschool. Those were great times."

"Yeah. Until Blossom came along."

"Don't bring her up please. I'm just sorry she ever came back."

"My plan didn't work. Well it did.. Somewhat."

"Huh? What plan?"

"Nothing. Nothing."

"No. Tell me."

"You'll have to kiss me first."

I didn't want to. The heavens knew I didn't want to.

"Are you serious?" I asked her.

"Hell yes I am! Kiss me now, dammit!"

She grabbed me and I kissed her the narrow side of her lips quickly before we broke apart.

Blossom, please forgive me.

"Jevan, I set that bitch's mother up. I planted my mom's favorite bracelet in her coat pocket. I knew my mother had very close ties with the law enforcement units. It was the perfect plan. When I heard they were deported, that was the happiest day of my life."

"So you did that for me?"

"For us. I wanted you back and I knew that would only happen if Blossom wasn't in the fucking picture. She was a pest that needed to be stomped on and hard. She deserved that."

"And you deserved your karma. That's why you're left with nothing but a crappy, empty apartment!" I shouted and flung myself up.

"Jevan! You said....."

"BLOSSOM, COME IN HERE!" I shouted from the front of Brooke's door.

Blossom entered.

"After all these years, you thought this would be under the rug?"

"It's your words against mine!" Brooke tried to defend until Blossom showed her the tape recorder.

"You set me up?"

"Hell yes we set you up! You thought Jevan would actually take you back. You suck dick in offices for a living. You don't deserve my man!" Blossom said.

"Go to hell. I'm proud of what I did," Brooke told her.

"I ought to punch you in the throat and strip all those fake tracks off your head. But I'm not going to do that. Karma is already kicking your ass and there's more to come. I'll make sure you feel the mother's pain in a prison cell too."

"No! You can't. You shouldn't! I'm not jail material! Blossom, I'm sorry!"

Brooke tried to reach for Blossom but I held her back and pushed her backwards.

Blossom and I left.

"We did it. Your mom would be free," I told Blossom.

"It's been forever. I can't wait for her to meet Jason. Now, let's go to the supermarket."

"Why? There's more than enough groceries at home."

"We got to get you a big bottle of mouthwash. You kissed Brooke."

"It was more a peck than a kiss. There was no tongue action I assure you."

"Yeah but we still don't know where her lips been. We gotta get you a scrubbing brush too to brush all the Brooke off."

We laughed so hard as we got back into our respective cars and drove away.

Brooke was found by the authorities trying to flee the state.
