Chapter 67: Happily Ever After Does Exist
Blossom's POV
My heart was racing fifty miles per hour. I was sweating and shivering as if I was having a fever over one hundred.
"What say you?" the Judge questioned.
This was it. In a court system, it's never wise to become cocky or overly confident. These things have a way of surprising the shit out of you no matter how well you presented the case.
"We, the jury, finds Hunter Sax guilty on attempted murder."
Everyone exhaled on cue and I found Jevan and pulled him in for a quick hug.
"Very well. Sentencing would be handed down at the next hearing in eight days. Court adjourned."

Hunter received life imprisonment without the possibility of parole so did his father for being an accessory and covering up the murder of Hunter's ex-fiancee. Two weeks later, they found Hunter's body hanging from a bed sheet in his cell.
Talks were circulating that he committed suicide. Others said his ex-fiancée's cousin was in the same population and he wanted revenge for her. And others speculated that it was The Hollens whom used their connections to have him killed behind bars. I didn't care to find out the truth on what happened. May he rest in hell.
*Three Years Later*
"Dahlia, where are you?" I called, looking into my daughter's room. I heard giggles underneath the bed. She and I were playing a game of hide and seek and I pretended to do a terrible job at finding her.
"I'm here, mommy," she said and crawled into the opening.
"Ah. You been underneath there this whole time?"
"Yes. I'm an expert," she said with a bright smile.
I picked her up and pretended to be the tickle tummy monster. She squealed and Jevan knocked and entered.
"Hey, you two."
"Hi baby," I answered.
"Hey, daddy," Dahlia replied.
"So guess what I did? We have never had a Hollen Day Vacation with everyone. And I do mean everyone. So I decided to get everyone on board, including your best friends Nina and Sophia, and we're going to have some fun in Santorini, Greece."
"Grease? Like what mommy rubs my skin with sometimes?" Dahlia asked and we couldn't help but laugh.
"No baby. Greece is a country."
"Oh. Like America and Canada?"
"Yes. Like America and Canada. Jevan, when are we leaving?"
"Flight is in a few hours?"
"Today?"
"Yes."
"But we didn't plan this."
"That's the fun of it."

After a quick packing for the kids and myself and Jevan, we were sitting in one of the new jets. This one was bigger and more spacious than the others.
I watched as the family members boarded and sat around.
"Man, I haven't been on a vacation in so long," Jada said and let down her ponytail hair.
"And believe it or not, aunt Emily, King Sebastian and their children will be meeting us there," Jevan added.
"How did you manage to pull Emily and her family away from their kingdom?" Grandma asked.
"I wouldn't tell," Jevan joked and we laughed.
"It's nice of you to do this, son. The family hasn't been together for a vacation in such in a while. It's nice to have everyone here," Evan said.
"Yeah. If I can recall, the only time we actually bond together is for bad news like that time Jevan was.. you know. I think it's about time we break that pattern and start having some damn fun," Jasmine said, popping a champagne.
"HERE HERE," we all chimed in and filled our champagne glasses.
"Juice for the kids, please," I said to the flight attendant. She quickly brought juice boxes for the children before stepping away.
"And you know what's even nicer? That this whole trip is on Jevan," Nina spoke.
We broke into a louder laughter when he tried to differ.
"Dad! Dad! This can't be all on me, can it?" he asked his father.
"Oh it is. I'm out," Evan answered.
"Mom?"
"Nah. Don't even try," Jasmine said.
"Jase?"
"Nah, bro. It was your idea."
"Seriously? Jada?"
"Jevan, you know I'm not in it."
"Uncle EJ?"
"I'm just here for the beach and free drinks."
"Aunt Zenia?"
"No. I can't forget when you called me a beech."
"Zenobia, what about you?"
"Huh, what about me?"
"Grandma Emma?"
"Miss. Wright?"
"Oh, I'm not the one married to you," my mother answered.
"I've retired."
"Grandpa?"
"The fact that you left me for last says a lot. I'm not helping you."
"Instead of Hollen, you should change your name to Heartless," Jevan joked.
"Ah, we're just playing. We'll never leave you hanging like that," Evan said.
"I know you guys were but I was about to empty this plane," Jevan joked again.
We continued the talking and laughing until the plane ascended into the sky to Greece.
It was astonishing how a simple girl from Ghana found her happily ever after. I never expected my life to turn around and turn out like this.
I took it all in. My kids were playing with some of their toys across from me. The family was laughing and talking. My best friends, Nina and Sophia, remained my best friends and they were there for me throughout everything.
I couldn't ask for a better life. If I could go back in time and change anything, I wouldn't change a thing, not even the bad times. Because it was the bad times that made me ,shaped me and allowed me to appreciate the good.
______________
One plane ride later, we were at our destination and at our respective villas.
"I can't wait for the beach," I said, excitement taking control.
"And I can't wait have you all to myself," Jevan whispered. We toured the villa and I was even more excited for the cave-like indoor pool.
_____________
The next glorious sunny morning, after everyone slept off the thirteen hour flight, the family assembled on the beach in swimming trunks and sexy swimwears.
The beach was to die for. The water was glistening from the sunrays and looked inviting.
"No way. No way. You've got to be kidding me!" Zenobia snapped. She removed her sunglasses and looked to the shoreline.
"Zenobia, what's the matter?" her mother asked her.
"That's Kyle."
"Kyle?" Everyone asked, looking puzzled.
"He's Zenobia's boyfriend. Well, ex-boyfriend," EJ clarified.
"How come we never met Kyle?" Emma asked.
"Because he's a scumbag. He broke my heart."
"Ah, honey, let's not make a scumbag ruin your vacation with your family. He's history. Forget about him," Ethan advised.
"Okay, Grandpa," she answered and played it off like she never saw him.

I was looking forward to having Jevan too. After the beach, the Children went to their grandparents' villa for snacks and video games.
Jevan and I were finally alone and I waiting in the pool for my man. He appeared and I pranced on him immediately. I straddle him and his hands went through my thick wet hair.
"Hi baby," he whispered in my ear. His lips then connected to my neck and he became sucking on the skin there. I moaned softly and savored the feeling erupting from inside of me.
"I want you. Right now," I told him.
"Okay, boss," he responded and fulfilled every waking desire of my body.
"I love you so much," he said as we got down from our climax.
"I love you too," I answered.

I was happy and satisfied with everything life gave me. A husband who was loyal, handsome and a great father to our children. Our children were healthy, happy and full of joy. I stood by my words. I wouldn't change a thing about my life.
