Scratches He Got
"You are an evildoer!"
“But isn't the fact that I care about you enough for you?”
"You fooled me! You are a liar! I hate you! Love ain't enough. At least with this narrative that we have."
"Come back!"
I opened my eyes and gasped for air. And what was that? Did I just have a movie-related dream or something? What about those people?
I sighed and palmed my face, "Ugh!"
I slept peacefully. possibly as a result of drinking too much alcohol that day. Before leaving the room, I did everything I could to make myself look presentable. I was so exhausted last night that I was unable to move around the villa. I simply located a space and made myself at home.
So, even after leaving the room, I had some questions about the routes or anything else. I followed the scent after smelling something enticing.
I followed some rustling sounds and peered over the arch to see the silhouette of the Beau, who was topless and looking good.
I remained there, curiously observing him. He's back? Has he returned from last night? What happened to him? I had to keep all of those inquiries to myself.
He turned away from the stove and immediately noticed me. My expressionless looks were met with his amused expression. He gave a charming smile.
He said, "Good morning.”
I didn't respond to him. I merely stood there wary.
He continued, "I cooked breakfast. The caregivers are not present because I ordered them not to stay here when I'm here. They were aware of my impending arrival, so…”
He removed a cloth from the side and wiped the beads of perspiration that had formed on his neck and chest. He invited me right away after he realized I had no plans other than to stand there.
He ordered, "Come here."
My gaze never wavered from him. I approached him slowly and sat down in silence on the chair in front of him. He gave me a smile. That's even stranger, too. Acting as if nothing strange occurred the night before.
He set the salad bowl on the table and asked if I wanted coffee or tea.
”Any juice will do,” I muttered.
Before he sulkily sat down in front of me, he did give me a glass of orange juice from the refrigerator. I watched him.
He grinned once more, "Eat now."
I was about to follow his instructions and decided to drop the subject because I didn't want him to think I was being nosy by asking questions. However, when I noticed that his hands had minor cuts and scratches, I was unable to do so.
I yelled, "Where did you get that!" while continuing to focus on the minute scratch. I looked over his body and noticed some of it also on his biceps.
I was acting a little bit more now and questioned, "What the hell, did you fight with a bore or something?"
He said icily, "These are nothing. Concentrate on your food."
My teeth were clenched. I glared at him while thinking these things. He sensed that, and when he realized it, he stopped.
His defense was, "What? I said, these are nothing."
I couldn't help asking "Are you hooking up with someone else?"
His eyes slightly widened. Although it appeared as though he was about to speak, no words came out of his mouth.
"Did you leave me alone last night because of that? Do you have a girlfriend here or something?"
"What, I don't do girlfriends! Hell no!"
I mockingly exclaimed, "So what are those? Those are scratches, Beau! Where did that come from? From an animal? Then that must be a wild one, huh?
He appeared to be in control of himself as he closed his eyes and clenched his hands. When he opened them, his eyes had softened and were prepared to calm me.
He emphasized, "No, and yes, these scratches were caused by a wild animal.”
I never stopped berating him and his scratches.
He said, "You don't believe me.”
I exhaled through my nose and turned away from him. I was about to ask him where he went the night before, but I stopped myself because it's a private matter. I shouldn't care about it at all. However, it's how fvcked up I feel that irritates me. What does it matter if he slept with and met someone last night?
I said, "Hey," not realizing he was already with me. I'm too furious to even notice his actions.
He called out again, "Hey," and touched my chin to get my attention.
I clenched my lips and gave him a cold look.
”Did you get upset because I wasn't with you last night?” he apologized.
I detest how seductive his tone is. It's like my body has been waiting for a lullaby.
He repeated, softly, "I said I'm sorry."
I tried to touch my fork to begin eating after releasing my face from his hold to say, "It's okay," but he touched my chin once more.
He called me "Baby." He appeared to be pleading with them. My heart ached so much from it.
I worked hard to sound so simple as I asked, "What?"
”I was out hunting last night with Apollo and Blanco, and that's how I got these scratches,” he said. Although my state of mind appeared to be relaxed, I'm still upset for unknown reasons.
"Ask them then, if you still don't believe me."
Rolling my eyes, I "As if they'll tell the truth to me," I said.
He chuckled softly, "That's why you have to believe me, I'm telling the truth.”
Once more, I rolled my eyes. You can do whatever you want; it's not as if I'm going to stop you. "I don't care if you fvcked someone last night.”
He grinned. “So why did you sound so upset earlier?”
I gritted my teeth. “You're having sex with me, Beau, so it should be normal for me to be afraid for my own sake. If you're getting involved with someone, then I should be upset because I'm unsure if that person is safe.”
He gave me a quick kiss and then whispered, "Shhh."
That kiss left me completely speechless. It seems like whatever was bothering me is no longer an issue. As if whatever error he made had been overlooked.
He whispered, dripping another kiss on my lips, "I'm not doing someone else's, Jade. You're the only one I have." This time, when he stopped, I nearly chased after his lips.
He made a small chuckle. Gritting my teeth, I felt embarrassed.
He grinned, "What to do? I'm confused now.
I hissed, "Confused about what?"
"If I want to pacify that jealousy or make you feel jealous."
My mouth fell open, and I struck him. The kitchen was filled with his laughter.
“I already told you that I'm not envious; I just want to be safe.”
He kissed me again before I could finish what I was saying. That kiss lingers for a while. Both of my eyes were drowsy and filled with desire when we stopped.
He moistened his lower lips before using his thumb to separate mine.
He said, "Jade, I assure you, I only have you. Though your jealousy turns me on, I don't want to make you feel insecure. I'll pacify your jealousy.”
