Czar Gregovivk Part 2

I crush my fingers on the arm of the chair and fix my eyes on Adrien, who is sitting, staring at me, knowing that I can’t lie because he was there that night when Sieta stormed into my office. Adrien witnessed everything when Sieta burst in and revealed that Mabel had come accompanied by a young man who was under the care of an Italian advisor. She didn’t finish her sentence, but nothing escapes Adrien’s radar. If I deny Mabel's relationship with Macro, I will be contradicted by the judge.
“Yes, it’s true,” I respond hoarsely, turning my gaze back to Oliver. “But I didn’t kill Sebastian or his submissive. As everyone here knows, I prefer a hotter death to a quick, cold shot.”
My head shifts, my eyes landing on Morgana and my brother, feeling the material creaking with each tight squeeze my fingers give the armrest, imagining it to be my brother’s skull.
“Sebastian died to hide bigger dirt than this crap of a false accusation against me…”
“Do you deny the accusation of having harmed a guest inside your house, Counselor Gregovivk?” Adrien asks me seriously.
“Then why did the girl run away from you, crying, scared, completely terrified?” Do you deny having touched her against her will?” I look at Morgana and see her mouth trembling as she looks at me with hatred, a different kind of hatred than what she usually has for me, something personal, as if she truly believes I harmed Mabel, and not just because she wants to oust me from Sodoma.
“Do you deny this accusation made by Morgana, Counselor Czar?”
Adrien asks me calmly.
“I deny it, I didn’t harm her!” I say loudly and more firmly, diverting my eyes from her and returning to Adrien. “I didn’t touch her against her will, much less harm her.”
“I saw her run away, my submissive saw, as did Adrien's wives and Adrien himself.” Morgana trembles her lips while pointing at me with her face flushed with rage. “Five people saw her. Unless everyone had a shared fantasy of a terrified woman running away from where you were, I believe what I saw is real.”
“I didn’t harm her!” I snarl in anger, feeling my mouth foam with rage, looking at this false witch.
“To the center, Czar,” Adrien calls for me and points to the center of the hall.
I stand up and walk, my eyes locked on Kaiser before I turn to face all of them.
“Counselor Gregovivk, in addition to your word denying the accusation, do you have any proof or witness to raise in your favor?” Adrien looks at me and asks the question in a calm tone. “Where is the girl?”
“I don’t know, I never saw her again after that night,” I say seriously, meeting his gaze and lying, fully aware that Adrien knows this.
“LIAR!” Morgana screams louder and stands up, pointing at me. “You’re playing Sodoma with her…”
“And how does Counselor Morgana know this?” Hu Li is the one who asks, confronting her and keeping his eyes fixed on Morgana.
“Because Macro, the murdered submissive, was her submissive before he was Sebastian’s.” I turn my face and glare at her, keeping my eyes locked on hers. “And it wasn’t just that connection they had. How long had he been her puppet, Morgana?”
“We’re here to judge you, not me, Czar!” she says bitterly, smoothing her clothes as she sits back down, keeping her eyes on me.
“This information was not known to the council.” Santana looks at Jonathan and then at me, crossing her legs. “You and Sebastian were sharing the toy, Morgana, I didn’t know you liked that…”
“As far as I know, it’s not a crime, Santana, not wanting a submissive anymore and letting him stay with another master.” She brushes her hair back and gives him a false smile.
“No, it isn’t.” Oliver speaks seriously, looking at me. “But murder is a crime. Czar, is there anything else you want to tell us?”
I take a deep breath and clench my fists, my mind calculating the risks of telling the truth now, unmasking Morgana, and letting others know about the Messalinas’ order, without having Macro as proof of what she and Freire were doing. Or keeping Mabel a secret until Ramsés and I can find the other hidden alpha submissives.
“I have!” The loud voice behind me sounds serious as the sound of her high heels hits the floor with her hurried steps.
“Baby!” I close my eyes and shake my head, not understanding why she’s showing up now, as it’s not her moment.
“Czar has spent years protecting your names, even yours, Morgana!” she speaks loudly, standing beside me and staring at Adrien.
“What do you think you’re doing…”
“Oh, shut up, you bitch!” Baby cuts Morgana off and glares at her. “Be a good dog and wait your turn to bark!”
I see Jonathan suppress a laugh while looking at his sister. I turn my face and look at Baby, raising my eyebrow and silently questioning what she thinks she’s doing.
“Don’t be mad, just trust me!” she whispers to me and winks, returning her gaze to Adrien.
“Do you have anything to say in favor of Counselor Gregovivk, Baby?” the judge asks her seriously.
“Well, I would have several things to say, like the fact that he’s stubborn and stupid, also how he manages to be more annoying than Jonathan…” She raises her finger and points at her brother. “Just like he has a good heart and is a true friend I found in Sodoma, whom I value a lot… But I believe that what I have to say won’t direct the course of this meeting, just that…”
“Then why are you interrupting?” Morgana interjects, speaking bitterly.
“I already told you to shut up, bitch!” Baby growls louder and shakes her head. I take a deep breath, looking at Adrien. “As I was saying before I was interrupted, I don’t have anything to say…”
