Daphne thought it was quite weird that he proposed this deal again to her .

“ What’s wrong ? “ asked Damon .

Daphne remained silent looking at his hand .

“ Aren’t you surprised that I accepted the deal when I refused it the first time ? “ said Daphne finding his reaction weird.

“ What do you think ? “ asked Damon .

Daphne looked confused at him for a second then it hit her .  The reason why he was calmly smiling at her .

“ You know , don’t you ? “ asked Daphne letting go of his hand .

Damon smirked as moved next to her with his eyes at the garden . “ When you fainted the doctor said that it was because of stress and overwork but more because of stress . You helped us a lot by solving the hacking issue . We followed your instructions and caught the hacker in person .  You seemed very angry and worried when you came back after that phone call so I investigated a little and learned about the debt your family is involved in . “ said Damon .

Daphne smiled helplessly feeling slightly annoyed that he had investigated her but she wasn’t in a situation where she could be picky or scold him . After all , now he was formally her employer .

“ Since you already know , then…..Am I allowed an early allowance ? “ asked Daphne .

Damon laughed looking at her confused expression . 

“ I already sent my men to deal with the situation and pay the debt your family owes . Everything will be back to normal by tomorrow . “ said Damon . 

Daphne couldn’t believe her ears . She was so happy that she 

“ Then….There’s no need to become your assistant . “ said Daphne with a smile . 

“ Hey….give you an inch you take a mile . “ said Damon . 

“ Ha ha ha ! I am just joking . I would never do that . I am just grateful that you helped me . “ said Damon . 

“ I am just returning back the favour I received . “ said Damon with Daphne immediately understanding that he was talking about the hacker incident . 

“ Now we are even then . I will make sure to pay you back all the money of the debt . “ said Daphne . 

“ You will bid goodbye to your dear friends these two days that you are still together . “ said Damon with a smirk .

His tone sounded a bit off but Daphne didn’t pay too much attention to it .

“ ….I know but….about my school…. “ said Daphne worried as she has still a year left to finish . 

“ I will deal with it . You just focus on your duties as my personal assistant . “ said Damon .

Daphne blushed a little when she saw his handsome smile but quickly pulled herself together . 

“ Why did you choose me as your personal assistant ? “ asked Daphne . 

“ What do you mean ? “ asked Damon . 

“ Although I am capable…..Someone like you , must have a line of experts of the field and people with much more experience than me waiting to be your personal assistant . A longline of girl experts or from good and rich family backgrounds . “ said Daphne . 

“ Oh , are you jealous ? “ asked Damon . 

Daphne looked at him with a dumbfounded expression . 

“ I think it’s time for you to leave . Have a good night sleeping your highness . The door is opened so I won’t bother following you . “ said Daphne showing with her hand the direction towards the door . 

Damon laughed as he went towards the door . Before he could open the door to leave , he looked at Daphne . 

“ Yeah ! I do have capable people around . I thought I had the experts of the technology , programming and cybersecurity systems working for me but I was wrong . I had a bunch of fools working for me . Someone who is fast and does a perfect job like you is rare . Even fifty people are no match for you . “ said Damon with a smile . 

Daphne looked at him with her eyes wide open . She never expected to hear such compliment from him . 

“ What now ? “ asked Damon chuckling as she really had all her thoughts written all over her face . 

“ Nothing , I just found out that you know how to compliment as well . “ said Daphne making him laugh again . 

“ Good night my personal assistant . “ said Damon . 

“ Good night , my mean boss . “ said Daphne sighting helplessly like a damsel in distress . 

When he went out of her room , he used his magic and teleported himself back to his own room . He remembered when she asked him why he chose her among all the others who would be a much better fit than her . 

‘ even if they Amy be a better fit , you are the only one who can make me look her way………Because I hate being apart from you . ‘ thought Damon with a light smirk showing as even he himself knew that he would never be able to utter such thoughts out loud . 

The next morning Daphne headed to the library to eat breakfast along with her classmates but when she opened the door , all she found were pale looking students with huge dark circles under their eyes . 

“ Good Morning ?…..Why do you all look like pandas ? “ asked Daphne . 

“ It’s not a good morning at all . Why do we look like this ?  The professor drained every last brain cells that we had . I would find it weird at all if I were to turn into a zombie right now . “ said Ana . 

As soon as he saw her the professor headed towards them . 

“ Perfect you arrived Daphne ! All of you should take her example . She finished organising more than ten files filled with data’s and made a report so neat and clean that surprised even the duke himself . Look at her , she is perfectly healthy and filled with energy . “ said the professor . 

‘ I clearly fainted you strict old man….Haaa ! Whatever ! ‘ thought Daphne too tired to deal with him . 

Everyone eyes were focused on her like she was some kind of alien . 

“ Professor can you take a normal human being as an example to compare it with us poor Ronald human beings ? “ said Ana raising her hand as everyone agreed with her words . 

“ Are you calling me abnormal now ? Seriously Ana ! “ said Daphne . 

“ Sorry bestie but there’s no way any of us can keep up with you . Apart from Lion of course . “ said Ana extremely tired with her eyes empty .
