When the music ended and the next song was about to begin , Daria approached her face closer to Lion’s ear .  

“ Retire for the night Lion and we will end it here . If not…I shall go have a chat with your dear brother Lucifer . “ said Daria .  

“ I told you I don’t care . “ said Lion with a determined expression on his face .  

“ Fine ! Enjoy the party while staying put and out of Daphne’s sight .  If I see you near her , I will not hesitate to go to Lucifer .  He is pretty angry with Leah’s situation to the point that one more push and he may even kill her before the ceremony . “ said Daria .  

“ He will never do that . “ said Lion .  

“ He is a clan leader Lion . Clan leaders have a bomb weight on their shoulders .  

Meanwhile Damon and Daphne were focused on dancing with one another .

“ Why did you do that ? “ asked Daphne .

“ What did I do ? “ asked Damon acting clueless .

“ Lion was telling me something important . “ said Daphne .

“ Yeah , I heard ! He was confessing his feelings to you . “ said Damon .

“ If you knew why did you interrupt us ? “ asked Daphne .

“ Because I wanted to . “ said Damon .

Daphne looked at him dumbfounded in disbelief of his selfishness .

“ You changed three dance partners and the last one was very beautiful . “ said Daphne .

“ Oh….So you have been watching me ? “ said Damon with a smirk .

“ It’s impossible not to notice you and Daria . “ said Daphne .

Damon smirked when he heard her mention Daria , in a way to just confused him .  He leaned his head on her shoulder and whispered in a tempting voice .

“ Are you jealous ? “ whispered Damon .

“ Me ? Jealous ? Have you lost your mind ? Why would I be jealous of you ? “ said Daphne displeased as she tried to leave but Damon held her hand and pulled her towards himself .

“ Have I lost my mind or are you just lost ?…….. “ said Damon as he smiled looking at her .

Daphne stared at him even more annoyed as she felt that he had control over her .

“ Why are you trying to interfere in my romantic relationship ? “ asked Daphne .

“ I am not trying to interfere . You looked like you would say yes without a second thought . I am just preventing you from making a mistake . Consider it an act of kindness from your boss . “ said Damon . 

Daphne laughed sarcastically .  

“ I doubt that your kindness this time is not sincere . “ said Daphne .

She rotated at the sound of the music then Damon pulled her towards himself gain . With her bare neck exposed to his lips . Even though it was unintentional , the light confrontation when he pulled her made it feel like he gently kissed her neck . Daphne took a deep breath and pushed him away from her .  

“ The song….has ended . Excuse me ! “ said Daphne politely as she rushed away from his grip .  

Damon looked at him hand as her smell still lingered in the air . 

‘ ….That damn devil will never be able to touch her . She is mine . ‘ thought Damon to himself . 

he could see that she was flustered and confused so he decided to greet some guests and give her some time to herself .  

Daphne filled her tray with delicious desserts along with a bottle of wine and headed to the balcony .  She placed the tray on the table and started to drink the bottle of wine with a glass she had taken from the table .

“ I can finally feel like breathing . “ said Daphne to herself .

Daphne took a deep breath and thought about Lion’s confession and how she felt the butterflied in her stomach when Damon’s as close to her .

‘ Oh gosh ! I clearly like Lion . I have always liked Lion . Why do I feel as if I have the butterflies in my stomach…..Why does my heart skip a beat with Damon ?…..which one is real and which one is an illusion ? ‘ thought daphne to herself holding herb head feeling as if her head would explode .

She continued to drink the glasses one after another until she was at the last glass .  

‘ Even though I know that he was just wearing contact lenses , how can he look even more handsome with red eyes ? Red eyes are supposed to be used only on halloween vampire costumes to look scary……bout he simply looks even better . ‘ thought daphne to herself .  

The door of the balcony opened but Daphne was so lost in her thought that she didn’t hear it at all .

“ What are you doing here all alone ? “ asked a voice from behind .

She turned her head and saw that it was Damon . The fresh breeze of the night that made her hair dance at the rhythm of the wind . Daphne drank all the last glass of wine and walked towards him pointing at him annoyed . When she walked closer she got tangled in the long dress and lost her balance .  Damon caught her from falling and ended up sitting on the balcony couch with Daphne sitting on top of him . After drinking a whole bottle of wine , daphne was feeling drunk and didn’t pay too much attention to her surroundings and sat down on his thighs making it an uncomfortable position for him .  

“ Why ? “ asked Daphne with her cheeks red from the wine .  

“ what do you mean why ? “ asked Damon . 

She grabbed his jacket and looked at him with a serious expression .  

“ Why do you keep messing with me ? Really ! Is there nothing better for you to do than to mess with me ? Nothing more interesting than me ? “ said daphne with a grumpy annoyed expression .  

Damon laughed a little as he caressed her cheek warmly .  

“ ….Nothing more interesting than you . “ said Damon with a smile .

his handsome face and smile made her heart beat like crazy . The fact that she was on top of him  , looking at him from down made her feel like she was in power to give him the commands this time . 

“ Stop smiling ! “ said Daphne pointing at his lips .  

“ Why ? Don’t I look more handsome when I smile ? “ said Damon teasing her .  

Daphne covered his mouth with her hand and approached her face looking him straight at his eyes .  

“ I told you not to smile . “ said Daphne . 

Damon was amazed at how she stared right in his eyes without an ounce of fear 

‘ My eyes…..they are my original colour . The colour of a monster…….She has been living here for nearly a month now yet she still hasn’t noticed anything wrong yet . If she wasn’t so naive and suspected something……If she knew what we really are…..would her reaction be different ?…..Would she still look at me with these fearless eyes that drive me crazy ? Ahhh…… ‘ thought Damon to himself .  

“ I tried to resist . This is your fault for provoking me with your behaviour . “ said Damon .  

Daphne couldn’t hear what he was saying and lowered her hand .  

“ What ? “ asked Daphne confused .  

The modest she lowered her head , the only barrier protecting her was over .  Damon pulled her towards himself and kissed her lips . daphne looked at him surprised as she didn’t expect him to kiss her all of a sudden without any warning .  She didn’t expect the kiss at all .

“ Stop ! No ! “ said Daphne as she tried to push him but he pulled her closed .

“ Blame yourself for driving me crazy to the point I can’t control myself anymore . “ said Damon and kissed agin , more intensively this time .  

His tongue rolling inside her mouth making her lose her mind . Daphne had never kissed anyone before and such an intense kiss was truly unexpected .
