“ Lion doesn't know that the two of us have a good relationship , does he ? “ asked Daria as she took a sip of the wine .  

“ No , he doesn’t I haven’t mentioned it to him . “ said Lucifer .  

“ Good ! Don’t tell him for the time being if the questions arises . “ said Daria .  

“ Is everything alright with lion ? “ asked Lucifer . 

The curiosity to know what Daria and Lion were talking about when they were dancing was really getting to Lucifer . 

“ I understand that Lion likes Daphne a lot but…. “ said Daria .  

“ That human girl has been the cause of our arguing constantly lately . “ said Lucifer with a tired look on his face .  

“ Really ? “ asked Daria surprised .  

“ He keeps saying that he wants to marry her . How can I allow my brother , a member of the Morningstar family , leading family of the Morningstar clan , marry a simple human ?! It’s been my biggest headache lately . “ said Lucifer .  

“ First Daphne is amazing and second , there is something else that has been weighing on you more than your little brother’s love interest and that is Leah . “ said Daria .  

Lucifer sighed helplessly raising his shoulders .

“ The only option left I have is to kill her…..to preserve the honour and escape the furry of your brother .  I thank you in advance for being so generous as to not tell him Daria . “ said Lucifer . 

“ The reason I haven’t told him is because my gut tells me that she won’t be chosen . If she is not chosen then you can let her get married with the person she loves .  Honestly , getting married for love is such a luxury in the Nigrescent family . “ said Daria . 

“ …But still , you can , right ? “ asked Lucifer .  

“ Not until my brother has a child . Only a child can break the curse , you know it . If a child isn’t born , I will have to wait because the responsibility might fall on me and knowing my brother’s stubborn character , I wouldn’t be surprised… “ said Daria with a slight sad look on her face .  

Lucifer clenched his fists annoyed but he knew that nothing could be done except for waiting .  

“ What about you Lucifer ? Do you have anyone ? “ asked Daria .  

“ I don’t have any plan for the time being . “ said Lucifer . 

“ You are so handsome . It’s hard to say believe that you do not have anyone in mind . “ said Daria .  

‘ I have a girl in mind but that girl doesn’t know I have her in my mind to the point of getting jealous even of my own little brother when he talks to her . ‘ thought Lucifer to himself as he looked at Daria with an enchanted look on his face .

“ You keep looking at me . Is there something on my face ? “ asked  Daria .  

“ Oh , no ! Your face is perfect . I was just wondering what you and Lion talked about m that’s all . “ said Lucifer . 

“ That….sorry I forgot to tell you . I was just threatening him that I would come to you and tell you that I know everything and will threaten you if you don’t leave Daphne alone for tonight .  “ said Daria .  

Lucifer looked at her confused and he was right to be confused . He couldn’t really understand the reason behind it . Daria understood it and explained to him . 

“ Daphne has something special about her . I can sense it but it seems as that something special she has is attracting my brother to her . i told him top stay away and wait for the ceremony that will take place in five days from now . Once the bride is chosen , then he can do whatever he wants because my brother is bounded with his bride and will eventually forget this little…I don’t even know how to call it , crush maybe , but anyway , it will be over once the ceremony is over so tell him to bear five more days . If he is worried about her losing her first time to him tell him not to be cause I clearly told my brother that I would kick his ass if he dared to do something to her . “ said Daria . 

Lucifer couldn’t help himself from laughing out loud when he heard her . 

“ You really are an art piece . “ said Lucifer laughing alongside Daphne . 

The next morning when Daphne woke up , she felt her head aching . 

“ Ouc ! I feel so messed up . What got into me yesterday ? Drinking a whole bottle of wine . Haaaaaa…….I deserve this headache . Ah Lion Ah ! “ said Daphne to herself as she took off her expensive Dior gown and entered the shower . After taking a showed and wearing cleaned clothes , she felt even better . 

When she looked at herself in the mirror , she noticed a bite on her lip .

“ What ? Where did I…. “ said Daphne as a flashback came through her head .  

The memory of her kissing Damon and leaded against him as she hugged him and even french kissed him . 

“ What the hell have I done ?!!! No ! It can’t be real . “ said Daphne worried . 

She could rest peacefully when thinking that what happened yesterday could have really happened .

“ ….Yeah….It must have been a dream . I must have been so drunk that Daria “ said Daphne startled .  

She sighed , gathered herself together and thought of seeing Damon to check whether he had a lip bit too or not . Before she could pull down the door handle , the door opened and Arnold came inside holding a file .  

“ Morning !….Great ! You are already washed up and ready for work . I thought I would have to wake you up . Now come with me . We have important things to take care of today . “ said Arnold .  

“ Morning Arnold ! “ said Daphne .  

Daphne was caught off by surprise . She tried to hide her lip bit as well but even she knew how stupid it was because it would be obvious that she had a lip bite .  

“ Arnold , I wanna ask you something . I drank a lot today and don’t remember how I ended up back in my room . Do you perhaps know how I ended up here ? “ asked Daphne hoping with all her heart that the fragments that she recalled were just a dream .  

“ Oh , yeah ! I brought you here yesterdays with the help of a maid after Damon told me to check on you and make sure you are okay . Then you went to sleep . “ said Arnold . 

“ For real ? “ asked Daphne .  

“ Yes ! “ said Arnold .  

“ Ah….I see ! Thankfully ! “ said Daphne relieved to hear that the fragments she recalled were just a dream .  

‘ This lip bit must be because I n it my lips in my sleep . Yeah ! That must be it . ‘ thought Daphne to herself relieved . 

She headed put with Arnold as they passed by the garden where the three candidates were having their tea . When they saw Daphne pass with Arnold holding a file Freya and Chloe looked at each other .  

“ That’s why it’s better to hire male assistants  . I really wonder whether females assistants know their place these days or not . “ said Chloe to Freya and Leah .

Instead of continuing to walk ahead Daphne stopped and looked at them .  

“ Let’s go Daphne . “ said Arnold trying to take her away .

“ One second Arnold . “ said Daphne with a smile .  

She walked towards them with a polite smile on her face .  

“ Hello ! I couldn’t help but overhear your lovely comments . I am sorry . Do I know you ? “ asked Daphne .

“ One of us will become the new duchess . “ said Chloe .

“ Yeah ! So you should keep your place and don’t you dare dream of duke Damon . We saw how you tow danced yesterday . Don’t try to deny it . “ said Freya . 

“ And ? “ said Daphne looking at her with an uninterested expression .

“ Keep your place as the mere assistant you are and don’t think outside of your poor world zone . “ said Chloe getting up and glaring as her as she was slightly taller than her .  

“ The fact that you are to be the new duchess , is not certain yet . For neither of you yet I am a the certified personal assistant of Duke Damon . “ said Daria with a scary look on her face .
