CHAPTER 18
AMETHYST'S P.O.V
"Where are we going then?" I asked Aivan as he drove by. I just now asked after five minutes since he was driving.
"Tristen's condo," he replied sparingly and I just nodded.
"Condo? Don't they have a hotel? In fact, we just came from one of their branches. Why didn't he just check in there or so whatever?" I wondered.
"Maybe he has some 'private' reason," he said. He emphasized the word private.
I blinked because of this.
"So, shut that mouth or I will cover it using my own mouth." I immediately closed my mouth and looked down because of what he said. He's badly insane, darn.
But I'm just really curious.
"Just last." I couldn’t help myself after three minutes.
"Is it still theirs. I mean, do they still own his condo? A branch of them. You get it?" I looked at him because nothing. I'm just really curious.
"Yes, in fact he is the general manager of that outlet. And his parents are preparing him to be the next C.E.O of their whole company," he replied and I nodded.
That's great, huh.
How about this Aivan? What is his business? Their family business?
I think will be a great and good boss if ever--- I hope I won't take back what I said sooner.
I have a feeling that these dudes are womanizers or can play girls easily.
I'm already fine. I don't want to ask how many branches they have. I'm scared that he will do what he told me that he will cover my mouth with his mouth. I know that this man beside me is a ruthless guy.
Throughout our trip nothing could be heard except the radio on.
A few more minutes passed and we arrived at Tristen's other hotel.
After parking the car, we got off and walked for a while.
"Woah," I whispered softly as we reached the front of this large building.
This one is slightly larger than the branch where we came from earlier.
"Come on let's go." He grabbed my wrist and then we walk to go inside.
I was overwhelmed by the beauty and size of the building we entered.
It seems like the price here is deadly--- for someone like me.
We also waited for a while before the elevator opened and then we entered. I don’t know what floor Aivan pressed because I was just behind him.
When we came out, I looked at what floor it was and I saw that we had landed on the 17th floor.
We had already walked and we passed eight rooms from the right before entering one room. This is the second to the last room on the whole floor.
As we entered we were greeted by four men and five women sitting at a table.
At the long table, there are many foods that you can say that is expensive prepared, that if you sum this up, this can already be our food for two week.
"Hey, dude, have a sit." A man approached us. If I'm not mistaken this is Tristen. The one who should have delivered me then.
It's green eyes.
He smiled at me so I just smiled back at him. Kinda cute, huh? In fairness, it seems like Tristen is really easy to get befriend with.
"Thanks," Aivan said and the two fist bumped before we approached the table and we sat down.
"Just don't talk. Don't open your mouth to say anything." I heard the man next to me say to the woman with him.
It was just like a whisper so I knew I was the only one who heard them him for the woman with him.
I saw on my peripheral that the woman nodded.
I spent a few more moments before I pretended that I looked at them accidentally and the very beautiful brown eyes of the guy immediately marked to me and the very smooth skin of the woman. I also immediately took my eyes off them because they might think anything to me.
I really don't want to eat anymore because I already ate but it may be embarrassing if I won't. They might say that I am stagy, snobbish or a person who don't know how to get along with others. That's why I still ate even just a little bit.
Hi there and hello here is what happened next.
Seems like they are catching up with each other. It seems like it's been a long time since they haven't been together based on how well they greet each other.
I'm a little out of place, huh.
But in fairness, Aivan knows how to laugh, too? But of the five, he is the quietest.
"Let's go?" Tristen's said a few minutes after we all ate.
It looks like Tristen is really the only one out going in them. The four men just nodded.
"Okay, see you there then." Tristen's big smile.
Oh, we won't come there in just one vehicle. Oh well, they all have own car.
"Make sure you have a lot of alcohol there," the man whose eyes were not the same color said. His eye is blue on the left and brown on the right.
I forgot what do you call this condition.
I just remembered that there is 'hetero' in it.
Heterochromia I think. I'll just search it later.
"I guarantee you, bud. They are lots and lots." And Tristen even winked at the man.
"Hayst. You really are an alcoholic, Drix," said the man next to me.
"Woah, look who's talking." Drix even acted as if he got choked at what he heard. Why do they call him Drix?
"Come on! Later this talking will go else where. Yet, I can't wait to breathe! Or should I say we badly need this!" Tristen just said.
"Dude, you don't know how to breathe? It's the easiest thing to do so?" The man with two colors of eyes asked with a frown.
Is he serious? Does he took a lot of paracetamol?
"I'll go first, later I might do something with that loose screw man," the man said after he stand up... Wait? Woah! He have a pair of gray eyes?! Cool!
What's his race? But huh? He has two girls with him? Why?
But we women here are just quiet. No one is talking from us or we are just laughing a little sometimes. I hope I can talk to at least one of them.
"I think me too," Aivan said and grabbed my wrist so I looked at him.
"See you there, guys." We got up and then went out.
"Yeah, have a safe trip, brutal. We're coming as well." I even heard one of his friends said.
I don't know who one of them talked but I'm sure it's not Tristen. I feel that it was the man with brown eyes. I didn't look back anymore, so I don't know which of friend of Aivan spoke.
Anyways, they really know that this jerk is really brutal.
Just thinking if they only act. You know what I mean. They may all brutal. It's just that, Aivan is the most brutal in them and really showing how brutal can he be.
We were just a little ahead because later I heard the door open again behind us so I turned around.
And that's it. Nine people came out at once.
This doofus Aivan doesn't know how to get along, huh? How did he become friends with them?
We were the first to rode the elevator and also the first to get out of the building.
We both just kept quiet until we could get back in his car and drive it.
"Can you name them, please?" I immediately asked Aivan after a few moments of driving.
He sighed first.
"That guy with green eyes, that is Tristen. Bet you already know him."
"Yup," I answered him.
"The guy with gray eyes with two girls? He is Jairus. Drake Jairus." And I nodded at what hw said.
"What is his race? I'm just curious,"
"He's a European," he replied so I nodded again.
They are all foreigners, aren't they? Just wondering what are they doing here in the Philippines?
"Who that guy wuth beautiful brown eyes?" This one looks like only has Filipino blood and he's not a pure Filipino.
In the detail of his face, it was obvious that he was from another country. His eyes are light brown. It's just so beautiful.
"He is Raven. Keenan Raven." I have nothing else to do but nod.
"How about the last one? That guy with two colors of eyes. His eyes are rare," I said in amazement.
"That's Oliver. Oliver Hendrix," "
Wait," I whispered and then pulled out my phone.
I searched what do you call people with two different eye colors.
"Oh I'm right," I said after reading that heterochromia is what you called the condition of Drix.
But I didn't search what if the cause of it. I just hid my phone again.
"It's like he's the most fine to be with. I mean, he's funny tho," I asked as I looked straight ahead.
"Well, I'm just literally looking so fine." I turned to him at what he said and I saw that he was smirking. What the? What a boastful creature.
"Looks like you're worse than that," I whispered.
"I think he's not funny. Sometimes the screws in his brain just got loosening." I laughed at what he said.
"How about you? Who are you?" Owshems, did I really asked that?! I immediately shut my mouth.
"I'm your master," he said with a smile and raised an eyebrow.
"Wow, the audacity," I whispered softly.
"Why do I answered your question by the way?" he just asked after a moment.
"I don't know and I don't care." I just shrug here.
"Just turn on the radio," I added and that's what he did.
"How long is the trip?" I asked after three songs.
"One and a half hour," he replied.
"Oh okay. I'm sleepy," I said before yawning.
I leaned my back in the chair and closed my eyes.
"Just wake me up if we're almost there. Like five minutes before we reach our destination," I said while closing my eyes.
"Here," he just said so I opened my left eye to look at him.
"Use this. You might get stiff neck if you will just sleep in that position," he said as he handed me a travel neck pillow.
"Oh, thanks." I took it and put it around my neck.
I arranged my seat and then let myself fall asleep.
---
"WOAH! I FEEL GOOD!" I was startled by the high volume of James Brown’s song I Feel Good.
"That's how you will wake me up?!" I couldn’t help but to slap his shoulder but the madman just didn’t react.
"I don't know how to wake you up tho," he replied while still focused on the road.
"Do you want me to sleep continuously?! Like I'm going to sleep for the rest of my life!" I sighed here and dropped my body on the chair again then looked outside.
I closed my eyes again for a while but I'm not going sleep. No one spoke to us and only the radio could be heard inside his car.
A few minutes later, he stopped his car and got out first.
"Woah," I whispered softly because even though I was still inside I could already see the fresh scenery outside.
Aivan opened the door for me and I immediately get off. Cold air immediately greeted me after I came out.
I looked around me first.
There are many trees and you can hear the birds as well as some of them flying freely. Seems we are somewhere that is a bit hidden. Because in the area around me, I don't see any houses.
When I looked behind me, five adjacent houses opened up to me. They are only one floor each and they are all quite huge.
In front of the five houses there is a large pool whose water is blue due to the pool flooring. Cream is the theme of the houses.
"Woah," I whispered softly again.
Just the beauty of the whole surroundings!
What a pleasant weather! Not hot nor sunny! Later on, Aivan's friends also arrived.
"Welcome to our townhouse," Tristen said with a smile as everyone got out of their vehicles.
Is it just a townhouse? With its size as a whole it can be made into a resort.
"Woah. It's lit," the guy with gray eyes eyes.
Jairus is his name, isn't it?
"Can't wait to drink," the man with different eye colors said immediately.
"Silly," whispered the man with brown eyes.
"Hey, only Keenan, it's beautiful here!" said the woman with Keenan and Keenan immediately covered her mouth.
"Have mercy, please. Just be quiet," Keenan whispered and I know I was the only one who heard that properly again because I was just next to them.
We all looked at them confusedly.
"Uhm guys hehe sorry for that. Don't mind her. She just love joking around," said Keenan in nervosity. He just released the cover on the mouth of the woman with him.
"Tristen, we're the one who's going to chose where we're going to stay, right?" He immediately turned to Tristen.
"Yeah," Tristen replied slowly.
“Great, we’re taking the middle one,” he said.
"No, stop. We're taking that," Aivan spoke and I immediately looked at him.
"Huh?" I whispered here but he was not looking at me but he was just looking at his friends.
"Okay fine, we're just going to take the room or house next to it instead. The left one." No one protested with his comrades so they left immediately to enter the unit. Hey, you can already consider these are house, huh? They are almost as big as our house, in fact these one are a little bigger.
Just thinking what will happen to us and to me here.
Is this vacation will be a deluge for me or... Nevermind.
I felt that my hair all over my body stood up at my last thought.
