CHAPTER 45

AMETHYST'S POV

"Um, I have to go." I immediately look at to Arianna when she spoke.

"Oh, okay okay. We will be heading to. I'll take Jewel home first." She just nodded and walked ahead of us.

I took my daughter's hand and she justlet me.

We already have nothing to do here, tho. I'm so excited to introduce her to our family right away.

Jewel and I also then walked out.

And when we came out we still saw Aivan on the hallway, he hadn't gone far because he seemed to be walking slowly on purpose.


"Aivan!" I called him out and he stopped from walking.

He looked at us but his back was still turned on us.

"What?" he sparingly ask.


"C-can you take my daughter and me at my house?" I asked here, I really don't know why did I asked this and where did I got the courage to ask this!

He returned his gaze in front of him and then he just nodded once.

Jewel pulled me and I just let her take me.

When I turned to Arianna, she was about to enter an another room there. I just don't know if she was staying here.

"Arianna!" I called her when we got close to Aivan.

She stopped from entering the unit as well as Aivan stopped walking.

She turned to me and then looked at me.

"Thank you," I said here.

She just smiled sparingly. "No worries."

I also saw in my peripheral vision that Aivan also looked at her.

I just saw Arianna nod again.

"See you, aunt Yana!" Jewel said enthusiastically.

"See you, lovely." She just smiled again and then finally entered the unit she was about to enter earlier.

Then the three of us continued to walked.

Jewel was in the middle of us while walking. She was holding each hand of Aivan and me.

"I can't believe this! My hands are holding each hand of my mom and dad!" she giggled with excitement.

I just smiled when I looked down at her.

I suddenly shook my head.

Inherited from her father. You can't easily understand them. They are also moody.

"And I am happy that I'm now with you," I said to her.

She looked up at me and then gave me a cute smile.

We just continued walking again until we got on the elevator. When the door closed, Aivan pressed a button.

"Why did Arianna come in?" I asked as soon as the elevator started working. I can't help it.

"That's their unit," Aivan replied.

"Who's with her?" I still asked here.

"Tristen," he replied sparingly and then I just nodded.

"That's great. Until now they are still together," I just said.

"You don't know what they are up to." I just shut my mouth when he said it. His voice was just so serious when he said that. What a shame.

After a while, the elevator rang.

When it opened, there were uniformed men waiting for us. One of them handed Aivan shades and a cap which Aivan immediately put on.

When I counted them, they were ten in total.

They surrounded us until we got out of the building.

Even while we were going to the parking lot they didn't leave us.

When we got close to Aivan's car, he stopped first and so we did.

I try to feel here first and after a while I got what he seemed he want to ask.

"I will be in the back seat," I just said.

"Can I too?" I turned to Jewel at her question.
I just smiled because of this.

"Of course! I will love that, honey!"

Hearing this, one of Aivan's staff quickly opened the door for us.

They supported the entrance of Jewel and me as well.

After closing the door, Aivan was also about to sit in the driver's seat.

I looked to Aivan's staff, they are also getting into four other black cars.

"Where are we going?" Aivan asked so I looked at him.

"At the hospital," I answered, but he didn't react.
He immediately started the engine and started driving the car.

We were ahead while four other cars were still behind us.

Our ride was just silent as Jewel and I held each other's hands.

"Do you want to sit on my lap?" I looked at her and then she also looked up at me.

She pretended to think before answering, "Maybe?"

I just laughed because she was alrwady pressing herself into me.

I picked her up and then sat her on my lap.

I hugged her from behind and her hands held my hands that were on her stomach.

I just closed my eyes while smelling her hair.

How just good is this, my daughter makes me feel better.
It was as if my tiredness suddenly disappeared now that I was hugging her.

"Your hair smells so good," I whispered to her.

"Of course! My shampoo is more than a regular shampoo," she answered so I just laughed.

"Why are we going to the hospital?" she just asked after a few seconds.

"To see your grandma and auntie, your grandma is currently confined there. They are nice. I know that they will be happy once they meet you." I hugged her a little tighter.

"They know me?" she just innocently asked me.

"Of course! We've been looking for you for years now." I don't know if Aivan can hear us but I still simply looked at him.
I didn't see any reaction from him and he was just focused on driving and the road.

Jewel nodded slowly.

"Are you excited to meet them? Because me, I am so excited for you to meet them." I even rubbed my nose on her shoulder.

"I don't know? I only want you to be with daddy. I want us to be a whole family." I was just silent when she said that.


"They are also your family," I just said here.

"Yes, I know. But, all I want is to grow up with having you and dad by my side," she said in a cute voice.

I just completely shut my mouth up because of this.

How can I tell my daughter?
How can I say that what she wants is difficult?
Because I don't like her daddy?

That, what she was asking for was a bit vague?

All I have in my mind is set up, a custody like that. But it is not and will never be part my plan to be with Aivan again.

Our trip was just quiet until we got to the hospital.

When we got out of the car, Aivan's men also got off from their respective cars.

Aivan's hands were just on his pocket as he faced Jewel and me.

"Five of you, look after our daughter." Really ours? Couldn't he just say 'look after Jewel'? Or just 'my daughter', there is no issue with that. Rather than 'our daughter', it's a bit ugly to my ears, I can't bear to hear that from him.

Aivan's men looked at each other and their group became two.

Five are behind us while the five are behind Aivan.

Aivan looked down at Jewel first. "Jewel, you will be sleeping with your mom tonight. Is that okay with you?"

He was about to turn around when I stopped him.

"Wait!" I said.

He just turned to me.
I cleared my throat first before speaking. "Can you wait? Give me ten to twenty minutes. I'll just deliver and introduce Jewel to my family," I said longly but he just stared at me.

I swallowed first before I spoke again. "Is it okay if we are going talk now? But if you're busy and you have something else to do, then it is just fine if we talk next time."

"I'll wait," he said and got into his car.

I just blinked because of this.

If Jewel hadn't pulled my hand for few times, I wouldn't have gone back to myself.

She just shook her head and motioned for us to go inside.

"Oh, yes, come on let's go." I took her hand and we walked inside and she just let me take her.

There were five of Aivan's men following behind us, fortunately only a few people turned their backs on us.

Here we go again with these uniformed men. Well, I think I shouldn't complain since this is what Aivan thinks to keep Jewel's safe while she is away from him.

We waited for a moment and the elevator opened. Fortunately, there was no one on board except for the security guard there, so we fit.

These staff of Aivan are also just well built all.

"What floor, ma'am?" the security asked when we finally got inside.

"On the fifth floor, sir." He just looked at those behind us and seemed like he also want to ask them.

"They are with us, sir."

When we entered, mom and Crystal were just looking at us.

"And also, who is that kid?" She even pointed to Jewel which made me smile.

"You picked it up on the way?" she added in her questions.

"W-who is that really, sis?" I just smiled sweetly at Crystal.

"I met her father earlier," I answered, causing them both to gasp in shock.

I just slowly nodded.

"Oh, are you all right, sister? What? What did her father do to you? Tell me everything, sister, what happened!" Crystal asked as she examined my whole body.

"I'm fine, he just introduced me to my daughter." I stopped her from what she was doing to me and she really stopped.

"But are you sure that this is really Jewel?" she asked more and I just nodded one after the other.

Crystal just looked at Jewel.

"I don't think so," Jewel replied when she and Crystal were on the same level.

Crystal reacted because of this.
"Why? Don't you want to?" Crystal asked.

"It's not that. It's just, I'm more beautiful than you. Maybe you inherited me." I just stopped myself from laughing at what Jewel said.

"Oh my, sister! Look at her, oh!"

"It's way better than she will cuss," I just said.

"Oh, if she just try swearing, I'll put her on a sack!"

"If that happens, maybe I'll help you, too," I laughed as I agreed to this and Jewel just folded her arms while staring intently at us, she's just cute because she's even pouting.

"My granddaughter is beautiful," mom said and Jewel looked at her.

"Thank you, grandma!" she said while giggling.

"Oh, she have a mood swing," Crystal just muttered.

"I will just leave her to you first, huh?" I said to them and they all looked at me at the same time.

"Why, sister, where are you going?" Crystal asked.

"Her father and I will talk. I said I'll just bring Jewel here for a while. I have a lot of questions that he needs to answer,"

"Maybe something might happen to you, sis. Are you sure?"

"My dad won't hurt my mom." We looked at Jewel at the same time when she said that.

After a while, Crystal returned her gaze to me.
I justshrugged my shoulders.

"Jewel, I will leave you here first, huh? Play and talk with your aunt Crystal and grandma Jona first, huh?" Jewel slowly nodded at what I asked.

I approached them first and kissed mom and Jewel on the head.

"I'll leave first, ma,"

"Be careful," mom said.

I stood up and approached Crystal again.

"Look after her first." Crystal nodded at what I said.

"Be careful, sister." I just smiled and walked out of the room.

When I came out, Aivan's five men were just looking at me.

"She's just inside. Her grandmother and aunt are with her, don't worry she's safe. Don't go in." They nodded and then I walked away from them.

I have many questions that only Aivan can answer.

I don't really want to talk to him anymore but he is the only one who knows the answer to all of my questions.

I have so many questions in my mind and I need an immediate answer.

I will also ask Aivan for custody of the child. Maybe I will just say sorry to Jewel if I can't give what she asked for.
I know this is the first time she will ask something from me, but I really can't give what she's asking for.
I really can't be with her father.
