CHAPTER 47

AMETHYST'S POV

Aivan and I didn't have a chance to talk about the set up with Jewel yesterday because Jewel wanted to go to the mall and so we did.

And because of that I remembered what Aivan did for me when we still have a deal and I invited him to go on the mall.
Luckily, he did not did it again yesterday.

Maybe I will just talk about what and how will be our set up with Jewel tomorrow or later if I will have a chance.


But now?

I have to go somewhere first. I have to see someone first.
He still needs to know about this even though he's not asking or I didn't promise this.

I still want to let him know.

I still want him to know that I already have a child, an angel we used to plan to have.
And even if the father of my child is the reason why he was gone now, he should not worry because I will never be with the father of my child.

I just let out a violent gasp before continuing to walk through the cemetery.

Even though I'm not with Jewel right now because she's at home with her grandmother, I still want to let Earl to know about her.


The next time I will come here, I will just take Jewel with me, but for now, it will be just me.

Earl's grave was only a few meters away from me when I was stopped.

"Aunt Jas?" I called here when I got close to them.

They together looked up at me at the same time and I don't know why aunty just suddenly seemed shocked and suddenly became also a bit tense.

I looked at the woman and she seemed to be deliberately averting her eyes from me, which caused me to furrowed my forehead.

I looked down at the boy with them and his innocent eyes were just also looking at me. How cute he is.

What? Daddy Earl? Did I heard it right?

I immediately turned to Aunt Jas who was now bowing.

I even saw how this woman hugged the child.

"A-aunt what is the meaning of this?" I even could feel my chest pounding. My heart beats very fast!

"H-he's E-Earl's son, hija." It seems like I'm going to fall from where I'm standing anytime now when aunt said that.

"Amethyst, sorry, hija." Aunt immediately took my hands with her two hands and rubbed them.

I was just in disbelief while looking at Earl's tombstone as I let my tears fall.

Aunt was also crying as she seemed to be praising my hand.

Earl? Did he just cheated on me?

My lips trembled as I am slowly inhaling for air.

"How old is the child?" I just asked as I looked at the child who was now hugging his mother.

"H-he's already seven years old, hija." I just closed my eyes at what aunt said and I couldn't stop the escaping of a tear from my left eye.

My chest feels really tight now.

All this time? The I thought was loyal boyfriend to me, did get pregnant someone while we were still together back then?

By the child's age, it means Earl and I's relationship was already three years when he was born, I just don't know if Earl and I were just two years then or three years when he got his mom pregnant.

I couldn't get do some violent reaction here even though I was very angry, instead my knees just went weak. I can feel that they were trembling but I am just keeping myself still.

I just looked at the woman who was now still bowing.

So, that's her. She was the woman I saw in Earl's funeral. She was the one that aunt immediately hid as soon as we got there.

I already want to leave and run but there are still questions in my mind that I need answers to make things somehow clear to me.

"W-when did you already know about this?" I force myself not to break my voice.

"I-immediately." Aunt's answer made me gasp.

Aunt's trembling hands were still holding me.
She even brought them closer to her face while she was also crying.

"What do you mean by 'immediately', Aunt?" there was already a hint of annoyance in my voice. I just can't help it.

All this time, I look stupid? I didn't know that my boyfriend got someone pregnant?

"Sam told us right away." Aunt even pointed the girl.

"When she found out that she was pregnant," Aunt Jas added.

I'm just trying to be strong even though I'm so upset.

"My son loves you, hija, believe me. Earl really does. But we can't just abandoned the child alone," aunt said as if she was pleading me.

I know that it's not good to involve the innocent child about this matter because I did the same thing, but love? Their son loves me? If he really does love me then he should not to that at the first place.


I just swallowed as my tears continued to fall.

"How did he got you pregnant?" I asked the woman in an indifferent voice.

"Answer my question," I said to her because she wasn't still answering me after a few seconds.

"W-we were partying that time. I-I didn't know he already had a g-girlfriend. Then, we were both got d-drunk," she just bowed as her voice was broken.

That's when I finally remembered Sam, she's one of our batch mates back then.

I took another breath before combing my hair with my fingers.

I'm sorry to say this but.
If Earl hadn't gone then maybe I wouldn't have known about this?
And also I can't imagine myself if the revelation happens if Earl will be here.

"I really don't know what to do now or what I can do now to you," I simply told them.

"But I also don't want to hurt you in front of your son," I added.

"But to be honest, even if your son isn't here, I still won't hurt you because I'm not a violent person,"

"S-sorry," she just said while still bowing.

I slowly took my hand back from aunt and she just let me do that.

My mouth was just closed while looking at aunt while she was still bowing.

I just breathed in the air slowly first. "I don't know if I'm really fine, aunt. I'm really also disappointed, then also there's nothing I can do now at what happened."

"I'm really sorry, hija,"

"I'm leaving," I just said in a calm voice before I turned to Sam.

"Take good care of your son. The son of Earl with you." She just nodded even though she was still bowing at me.

For the last time, I looked at Earl's tombstone. "Thanks to you. Still thanks for all the things you did for me."

I don't know if I will still fulfill my promise to find justice for you.
I don't even know if I'm going to see you here again. I don't know if I will still come here after what you did to me. After all the things that I just knew right now.
But maybe I'll just send Aivan's staff who shot at him to jail.
He's gone but he still managed to hurt me.

Well, I guess there are people we have to forget little by little even if you are deeply been together before.

I think I won't just think about anything now but my daughter and how can I be with her.,

Thanks to Jewel because I didn't feel the pain too much yesterday, because she bonded with me so yeah, instead of being sad despite the thing that I just knew, they have just vanished by the laughter of my daughter while we were playing. I can labeled her as my stress and sadness reliever.

That's also why I wasn't able to talk to Aivan yesterday.
So I'm just going to talk to him now.
We need to talk about Jewel as soon as possible.

"How about, she will be with me from Monday to Wednesday and she will be with you from Thursday to Saturday." I just looked at him in wonder at what he just said.

"Then, how about Sunday?"

"Family time?"

"We're not family," I just said as if it was just nothing.

"How about Jewel decides who she's going with every Sunday?" I thought about what he said.

She just folded her arms while staring at the floor.

She's so furious! Her screaming is scary! Inheritance from the father!

I looked at Aivan who was now just looking at me, waiting for what I would say.
Wait, how is this now?
My daughter is just so serious!

"Uhm, Jewel, It's just that---"

"Stop, mom! All I want is to live with both of you!" she interrupted my speech with her shouting.

I just bit my lower lip because of this.

Even though she wasn't looking at me, I could see that she was almost about to cry while she wasstill staring intently at the floor.

I just turned to Aivan again.
"Is he serious?" I just asked weakly here and he just slowly nodded.

Why are the eyes of this fool lookes like charming me? Is he doing that for a reason?

I just closed my eyes before taking a deep breath and blowing it out.

"Okay, fine." Jewel immediately looked at me as her eyes seemed to shine.

"But, there's a condition," I said to her, which made her pout to get long.

"What?" she just asked me while she was still pouting.

"Don't worry this won't affect you, honey." She just didn't react and just waited for what I had to say.

"Do you have your own room?" I asked Jewel here first.

"Yes, I have," she answered so I just smiled sparingly.

"I should too." I turned to Aivan.

"No problem," he said.

"Yehey! I'm so excited!" Jewel happily exclaimed as she even punching the air so I just smiled.

"Don't expect anything, mr. Flair," I just told Aivan with full emphasis but he just shrugged his shoulders.

"Mom, are you gonna come with us later?" Jewel asked right away.
I just then immediately looked at her.

"Huh? Where?"

"Dad will perform later with the band,"

"Really?"

"Yes, they will perform in a secret party,"

"Secret party?"

"Too many questions, huh?" She even rolled her eyes which surprised me.

"Just ask my dad," she said so I just nodded.

I just looked at Aivan but I didn't ask him anything.

"Mr. Go, son of the founder of Crystallize Gems will celebrate his 30th birthday and we are invited to perform." My mouth just dropped when he said that.

I know Mr. Go ahead, they are famous and rich because they own the most famous and expensive jewelry company in the whole country!

I'm sure many artists will also attend that party!

"Can I come with you?" I just asked here.

I also want to meet his friends again, or what all know as his band mates.

And of course, so I can ask for their autographs.

"Yes," he answered so I just smiled.

Jewel got off him and moved to me.
I looked at Aivan again.

"Aren't you guys going to be late then? How about Jewel?" I asked here while Jewel was sitting on my lap.

"The party will end by twelve but we will go home by ten," he answered that made my forehead to furrowed.


"Jewel was still awake at that time?"

"We will perform by 8:30 and then Jewel will sleep in the car after we perform." I just nodded at his answer.

Okay, that is good.

"Have you seen daddy perform?" I looked down at Jewel because of her question.

"As in live? Not yet, to be honest. But, I have watched some of their performance through online," I just answered here.

"How is the performance of dad? Who is your bias in their band?"

"I'll answer that next time," I just said here.

She didn't asked more and just nodded.

But if only she knew!
When I didn't know that his father and Isaac were just the same, oh my oh my!
My bias is Isaac and I'm getting crazy over him!

I just asked Aivan not to introduce me to anyone and he agreed.

And as I expected, there are many talented artists who are here as well.

Aivan didn't pay attention to us anymore because he was getting ready with his bandmates, which we understand.

I haven't asked for their autographs yet but I will still do that later.

It was only twenty minutes before the band was going to perform and we just got there.

Jewel and I just sitting in a place not too far from the stage.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the L.i.L baaand!" The female and male emcee enthusiastically introduced them which caused the crowd to make deafening applause and cheers.

Even actors seem thrilled and excited to see them.

After a while, everyone was quiet when some bright lights around turned off and only the stage where the band was the one that have lights.
They are also some spotlights that were focusing on them.

Draco created a sound with his drumsticks and after a while it was replaced by a loud crash.

From the screams of the audience and also from the stage.

From the roaring sound on stage they replaced it with a calm rhythm.

I know what will they about to perform.

"Take me as you are, push me off the road," Aivan sing that in a cold voice.

Like their other performances, there have something that covers on their faces.

Now they are wearing black and gold themed masquerades.

Aivan continued to sing that in a melodious tone.

I can't deny it, it's more thrilling to watch them perform in front of you.

"And I do, reside in your light," he sang while closing his eyes. He was feeling the song.

"To be, is all I got to be. And all that I see. And all that I need this time." He is slowly opening his eyes while simply looking at me.

At me?

Yes, at me!

Throughout their singing, there were times when he was looking into my eyes as if he was even try to catch my eyes!

"She's already taken, she's already taken me." His voice is really nice to the ear.

He grabbed the microphone and brought it closer to him.

"The day you said goodnight." The surrounding area was filled with applause when Aivan finished singing.

They performed four more songs and the ones they sang were Let me Be the one by Jimmy Bondoc, your love by Alamid, The man who can't be moved by The Script and the last one they sang was This I promise you by NSync.

Aivan really meant to give me glimpses while he was singing!
I know that and I'm just not trying to make myself believe it!

Did I get thrilled?

Well, huh!

It's just a little.
That's just for appreciation like that.

But I still have no idea what will happen to Aivan and me.

Well, I can't blame my daughter for wanting this either, but I will and I promise myself to still find a way so that her father and I won't stay together--- again.
