CHAPTER 36

AMETHYST'S POV

"Here it is, my dear highness that also a boss madam." I looked at Bella from behind me and I adjusted my seat.

"Wow, thank you!" I said while laughing as my eyes was following the coffee she was holding until she placed it on the table in front of us.

We are on the balcony of our apartment.

This unit of ours is on the 6th floor and as far as I remember, this building is up to the 10th floor.

Fortunately, it's not expensive here because the owner of this building is also Filipino, which is really for OFWs who want an affordable and neighborhood-friendly apartment. So, no one will feel awkward or feel new with their neighbors here, too.

Bella and I have only been here for about four months now.

She just arranged the other chair here and sit next to me.

The city is just in front of us. It was also a nice ambience.

I took the coffee she brought and then I took a sipped in it.

"Oh wow, this is a delicious mocha." I looked at her and then smiled sparingly.

"Of course!" She even shrugged one of her shoulders.

I took a croissant that was in front of us and then take a bit in it.

Bella and I just did not thought of cooking because we were both lazy.

"What's good to do today?" Bella asked as she picked up a croissant.

Today is also our day off.

"Movie marathon," I suggested here but her lips just moved like she's not agreeing.

"I want to go out," she said while her lips is pouted.

"Then, go out. Go right there in front of this building. Then, do some modeling," I said with a laugh and pointed to the floor.

Bella just looked at me and then frowned.

"You're crazy, we don't really know where to go here yet," I said.

"Maybe we'll just get lost. Oh, right? Hmm, well, we really came here for work," I added and she just raised his eyebrow once in agreement.

"How about Trev? Let's go with him." I looked at her doubtfully because of this but she just raised an eyebrow at me.

"Oh, why? Is there any issue, hu?" she just said before pinching the croissant in her hand again and taking a bite.

"It's not yet his day off, silly. He doesn't know that it's our day off today," I said while taking a bite of the piece of croissant I pinched in my hand just now.

We were silent for a while and we both just looked at the city.

"I haven't really have a talk or chat with him yet, have I?" Bella just said suddenly.

"Do you want to know him more?" I said teasingly here.

"As a friend, of course. Of course he's a Filipino too, are you crazy?"

"Are you really just wanna befriend with him?" I even looked at her as if I'm doubting.

"Are you alright?" She just then looked me in the eyes also.

"Would you like me to help you to know more about him?" I asked more.

She just laughed sarcastically.

"You're funny. Tsk, don't bother me with that. I know you're the one who he likes. The way he looks at you and those smiles on his lips when he talks to you? Oh, I have seen that with other guys." She just shook her head.

"And by that, why don't you give him a chance if he ever want to be with you?" I just looked at her with my forehead getting furrowed at what she said.

"What are you talking about?" I just laughed and asked here.

Now, she's the one who's looking at me suspiciously.

She leans sideways first on the chair in front of me.

"Stop me, huh," she said while reaching for her coffee.

"I don't like Trev," I said before taking a sip of my coffee.

I don't really like Trev.

He's mischievous, funny and good to be with but I don't like him even though he often makes me laugh. I think that his nature.

"Oh my. Come on, twin, you deserve to be happy again. Have a love life again." She took a sip in her coffee.

"Love life right away? I'm here to work, huh," I just said while shaking my head and then took another sip of my coffee.

"Come on, I know you can do multitask, you crazy,"

"I just want to get to know Trev more to know if he really deserves you," she added before putting her coffee on the table.

"He's naughty and nice to be with, but I promise I don't like him," I said innocently. But, she just shook her head.

"'The truth?" she just assured.

"You're exhausting, twin, huh?" I then looked at her flatly.

"But, what if you're really the one he likes?" I am trying to do payback here.

"Then, let's check. What you are saying is impossible, tho,"

"Who knows?" I just took another sip of my coffee.

"What do you think? Is he really be good for me? Do you think we are compatible?" It looks like this crazy will just ride what will I say, huh?

I pretended to think first.

"Yes, but the decision is still up to you, of course." I even shrugged my shoulders.

"You already know me. You know my types. Do you think I'll like him?" she asked more as she's acting like she's really interested.

"I think? Yes? Maybe? I don't know? Not really sure, tho. Is it okay with you that he already has a child?" She reacted because of what I said.

"Oh wow, really?" she asked as her forehead furrowed.

I just nodded as an answer.

"Don't worry, he doesn't have a wife. The mother of his son is just his ex-girlfriend. And it seems like the woman has no intention of coming back." I put my cup down first on the table.

"How old is the child now?"

"He's three years old. His son was only one and then he came here two work." Bella just nodded at what I said.

"What? Is that just okay with you?" I asked her again.

Actually, there is nothing wrong if these two will be together.

They are both my friends and I know they are perfect for each other.

I'm not ready to love yet. Yet, even if I was ready, Trev would not be the one I would like.


"I still don't know. I can't answer that yet. It depends on what happens next," Bella just answered me.

We just turned our eyes to the city again.

Bella and I were silent for a while.

"Twin, you haven't seen my daughter, have you?" I looked at Bella and because of what I said, she also looked at me.

"Oh my, thank you and you're ready to tell me. We've been together for a long time now then you will just now tell me about your daughter," she longly said and she even dropped her shoulder as she rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that," I just said here with a small smile on my lips.

But that's true. Bella hasn't asked me about my daughter yet. She is that kind of friend. She will wait for me to tell a story especially if it is too private and sensitive. Because she doesn't want to offend emotionally someone.
But now I'm ready.


"Can I take a look at her pictures?" Bella asked and even nodded her head once.

"Wait," I said and quickly took my phone from the top of the table.

I unlocked it and went to the gallery.

"This, oh. This should be your niece." I smiled and handed her my phone and she immediately took it.

"Let me take a look at my niece." She immediately covered her mouth due to joy when she have fully saw it.

"Oh my! She's so cute and beautiful!" she said while staring at my daughter's photo.

She scrolled sideward my phone to see the other photos of my daughter.

"You're oh my! Oh my! Twiiin!" she blurted out which made startled me a bit.


"Her eyes are blue?!" She even showed me a photo of my baby with her beautiful and innocent eyes wide open.

I suddenly remembered her father. Of course I have to endure. I already thought about this one. That every time I remember my daughter, I will also remember her father.


Especially they have the same eye color.


I just raised my eyebrows for a few times as a response to Bella.

"She looks like you and her father. Hey, she's mixed, huh? Super mixed? It's look like she was made in a good mix." I badly looked at Bella because of this.

I suddenly remembered the what of Aivan.
What a stupid thought! Why did that come to my mind?!


"Sorry." Bella even made a peace sign while smiling.

I just grinned as I shook my head at her.
I can't fight her back because of what I thought earlier. I suddenly went blank.

"You conceived him, didn't you? Like you really get annoyed or you're just thinking about him when you were pregnant with you guys baby, didn't you?"

"That's just my baby. I'm the only one that can say that, that baby is only mine," I corrected Bella but she just shrugged her shoulders.

But Bella was right. I remembered the things I used to do with Aivan when I was still with him and our deal was about to end.
It seems like Aivan is really stuck in my mind.

"It's a good thing your daughter doesn't really totally looked like you," she said that caused my eyebrows to meet.

"And why is that?" I even fold my arms here.

"Because you're ugly,"

"Oh, is that so? What if I hit you with that cup?" I pointed at my cup that was on the table but the crazy just laughed.

She stopped laughing and her eyes justnreturned to my daughter's photos.

I just took my coffee from the top of the table.

"Do you make this coffee?" I suddenly asked here after taking another sip of my coffee.

"Of course," she answered but she was still focused on my phone.

"In fairness, it's delicious, huh?"

She just rubbed her shoulder.

"Of course! What do you think about me?" she added so I just laughed before sipping in my coffee again.

"Is that conceived thingy really true?" I just asked after our moment of silence.

"Yes, they said. It looks legit, tho. Or maybe it's not because it's just in the sharing of genes," Bella replied but she was still focused on my phone. Well, I do really have a lot of photos of my baby, plus Bella was looking at them very carefully.
I just nodded.

"Your baby is just so really cute," she just said suddenly.

Something inside of me felt joy when my baby was praised. I don't know but I feel proud because of that?

Bella and I were silent again.

"Will you take long there? Seems like you're memorizing every details of my baby," I just asked here.

"I feel, yes, I can't help it, tho. She's so angelic," she answered.

She seems to be really interested in my daughter, huh?
Because we really took a lot photo and we even took some video when I gave birth to her.

I just shook my head.

"Alright, I'll call mom first,"

"Go for it." Bella just nodded.

I stood up from the chair and went inside.

It's just a whole room we're staying in. It's all here. This is also big, tho.

There are two beds and Bella and I each have one. We have our own bathroom so it's okay.

Why would Bella and I like to live in a big apartment? It's just a cost.

We work for our families and to be somehow get ahead in life.

Especially me. I have two goals.

The first is to build the grocery store that my mother and I plan to build and also to expand our house. The second one is, I want to save money to find my daughter.

I took my laptop from the side table of my bed and then I went to the balcony again.

I'll just call mom here.

I adjusted the placement of my laptop on top of the table before I sat down.

I turned it on and waited.

When I turned to Bella, she was already in another part of my gallery.

"Hey! You're getting too much!" I grabbed my phone from her.

"I'm sorry! I was just comparing his face to your daughter, eh!" I quickly place my phone beside me that is away from her.

I just gave her a sharp look.

Yes! She was looking at the pictures of Aivan and me earlier!

"I don't know about you!" I rebuked her and I just turned to my laptop.

"But how come that you still don't delete those pictures?" This question made me stop logging into my laptop.

Oh, yeah, why? I also don't know.

"I don't have time and I don't dig it anymore. I only one reason everytime that I go to my gallery and that's my daughter. I didn't know that Aivan and I's pictures are still there," I longly explained while logging in my laptop.

She got curious about what I was doing on the laptop that's why she also looked at here.

"Don't worry because I am going to delete those later," I also said.

"Hey! No, you're terrible! Those are not waste, tho!"

"Those are memories that I want to forget, right?" Bella didn't respond to what I said.

It's good that Crystal is now online.

Oh yes, by the way. I informed them that today is my day off so maybe they expect me to call them anytime now.

I pressed the call button on my laptop and soon it rang.

It only took a few rings and Crystal immediately answered the call.

"Siiiis!" Crystal immediately greeted us happily when we appeared on the call.

"Hiiii!" I said to them while waving mu hand.
It's a good thing that it's Saturday so Crystal doesn't have school.

"How are you there, Amy?" mom immediately asked with a smile on her lips.

"I'm just fine, I'm just fine here. How about you guys there?" I also asked them.

"We are just fine, too. You, Bella, how are you doing there, hija?" mom asked Bella.

"Doing also pretty fine, aunt,"

"It's your day off, too?" mom asked more.

"Yes, ma. Bella and I always taking a day off together." We even laughed because of this and mom also laughed.

"Oh, have you talked to your mom?" mom asked more to Bella.

"Later, Aunt," Bella replied with a smile and mom just nodded.

"Wait a minute?" I said when I noticed something.


I pointed to the screen with a smile and mom got what I was saying.

"Yes, you're right!" Mama nodded one after the other.

"Thanks for this, sister! I can use something for my school works!" Crystal said happily and I just put my hands on both of my cheeks.

"When did you buy it?" I asked them excitedly.

"Just yesterday, honey. I didn't expect that these are quite expensive?" mom answered and asked.

"Yes. The minimum for those is thirty thousand,"

"I saw it yesterday too,"

"But, how much did you get that?" I asked them.

"We got this for forty-five thousand pesos, hon! Your sister is asking too much." Mom even jokingly slapped Crystal so we just laughed.

"She deserves that, ma." I smile at them.

Because I bought Crystal a laptop.

I know she can use it at school and she can also use it for a long time.

"Laptop?" I turned to Bella because of her question and then I nodded.

"Yes, I bought Crystal because it's her what last week," I said.

Bella just nodded.

"Wow, I wish everyone,"
"Anyways, belated happy birthday, Tal!" Bella said and waved at the screen.

"Thank you, sister Bella!"

"Where are uncle and Allen, ma?" I asked my mom right away.

"Your uncle is having the bus repaired because it messed up last night. It's a good thing we made it home before it got a problem. While right now Allen is wandering around," mom answered my question and I just nodded.

"Mom, maybe three months from now or four we will be able to start the house," I said to mom.
Mom smiled because of this.

"Thanks you so much, honey." I was just infected by mom's smiles.

"For all of you, ma,"
"Then our grocery store is next," I added.

Mom and I just talked and have a little chitchat. Crystal also asked about what Bella and I had been here but I only said that we only had been in few places.

Bella and I haven't even been to the Eiffel Tower yet.

We were about to call Trev to come with us, but we thought that the person should just rest because he just got back from work.

"THANK YOU, SIR!" Together with me, we thanked Mr. Lavigne when we got out of his unit.

"Thank you too," the man said before he closed the door of his unit.

Trev is no longer my cleaning partner.

My new cleaning partner's name is Pia.

Pia is also Filipina so I had no trouble adjusting again.

Actually, Forty percent of the housekeepers with us are Pinoys and Pinays as well. Sixty percent are different races.

I was lucky because I am with a Filipina. Not so quiet when we were cleaning. It's natural for us Filipinos to tell stories so much. So, somehow we were not getting bored when we were cleaning.

I've been with Pia in cleaning for almost two weeks now.

Pushing our things, we approached the next unit to clean.

I was about to knock when I remembered whose unit this was.

This is the unit of Mr. Leroy.

I let out a breath before finally knocking on the door.

"Hello, sir! This is housekeeping!" I knocked at here again.

Pia was just looking after with our things.

I thought I'd wait a while before knocking again.

After a while I heard the door click until it finally opened.

I just swallowed because of what was revealed to me.

It's sir! He's just wearing boxers!

When will boxers leave me?!

"Come in," sir just said.

He opened the door and sir went straight to the bathroom.

Pia and I went inside and closed the door first.

"Sir is just so hottie!" Pia said while we were cleaning.

I just shook my head at what she said.

"If I had been in your place earlier? Come on, I might have fallen from where I'm standing! It's good that you're strong!" she said more.

This is the first time that she saw sir.

Because, in the past few weeks, sir was not there when we were going to clean his unit, so this is her first time seeing Mr. Leroy.

We finished cleaning the living room so Pia and I entered Mr. Leroy bed room.

"Oh my, Amethyst!" Pia exclaimed so I looked at her in shock.

"Oh, why? What happened?" I nervously asked her.

"I forgot the bleach in Mr. Lavigne's bathroom!" I just looked at her mockingly.

"You're crazy, I thought what just happened." I just gently blew out an air.

"Get it quickly! Maybe Mr. Leroy is about to finish taking a shower so we'll go straight later," I just said here and she nodded.

Pia and I just quickly finished tidying up and cleaning Mr. Leroy's room.

After that, we left the room together.

"I'll just the one who's going get it so Mr. Leroy will know that we're not done cleaning yet." I just nodded at what she said then she left the unit.

Why? should I still accompany her to get it, she's the one who left that?

Yet, her reason is really right.

I just stayed in the living room but didn't sit down.

I just looked around at this big living room.

After a while I heard knocks. I looked at the door and Pia showed up.

"Mr. Lavigne is gone!" she said in a weak and nervously tone.

My mouth dropped because of this.

"His door is locked! I don't have a spare key to his unit!"

"Oh, crap, me too!" I said to her.

"Okay, okay. I'll just go downstairs to get some bleach and then just wait for me here, huh?" I just nodded one after another at what she said.


She nodded once more before going out again and closing the door.

I can't do anything here so I just look outside this glass wall.

After a while I heard the impending opening of the bathroom door so I turned to it.

My mouth just dropped when Mr. Leroy finally got out there.

I seem to be stuck where I am now and I don't know what to do!

This was just so shocking!

Even sir was startled when she saw me.

How about that? Sir was just fully naked!
I can clearly see what's between his legs!

I feel like I'm going to fall from where I'm standing in... in...

That's like a monster!

Scary and horrible!
