CHAPTER 39

AMETHYST'S POV

I felt like I was floating on the way back to the parking lot where the car Adam and I rented.

When I looked to the right, I saw a figure of a man entering his black car.

I seems like I got stuck in my position.

But, after a few moments, I was able to move.

I don't know where I got the courage and I just found myself running to reach the man.

When I got close to him, I turned him around to me with all my force.

I immediately pointed at him while my eyes were widen in anger.

"Tell me who you are! What are your relationship with... Aivan?" I became calm and just wanted to sink into the ground.

Darn this! He's not the guy from earlier!
What a shame!

The man was shock as he furrowed his forehead while looking at me.

"Sorry, ms, but, do I know you?" I immediately removed my finger that was pointing at him.

I. Think. I'm So. Dead. Help. Me.

My eyes don't know where to look and I didn't know what to say.
"Ah, well, I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, mr!" I bowed my head to him and I knew that my cheeks were red because of such embarrassment!

"Oh, okay. Let's just forget it,"

"I'm really sorry, mr" I bowed again and the man just didn't react.


"Sorry again. Bye." I quickly turned my back on him and walked away from him.

I think I'm getting too much as an over thinker.

Why do I think that Aivan will follow me? Or will our paths cross again? It only shows like I'm the only one who hasn't moved on yet!

With Aivan's appearance and influence? Probably he has been already with many women and he has already forgotten me!

I should forget about him!

Actually, these past few days I have been dreaming of his blue eyes so I am acting like this now.

I don't think I can forget him until I get into a relationship again.

But, the truth is I can't really love again yet. I know I'm not yet ready.


I am feeling like I'm weak and lost while getting into the car that Adam and I had rented.

I just held my breath when I sat next to him.

"Is there any problem? What happened?" he immediately asked.

"It's nothing. It's just me. I thought I saw someone from my past," I replied as I adjusted my seat belt.

"You saw your last boyfriend?! A ghost?" I just laughed at what he said.

"Let's just go," I just said while shaking my head.

Adam's head is really crazy sometimes.

But somehow I'm thankful because he made me laugh.

I'm just shallow.

You can make me laugh easily and I am also easy to worry or overthink.

"Where are we going? In your house?" he just asked and I just nodded while smiling.

I just looked outside while leaning my back on the chair.

He then revived the engine and then started it.

When we got to our house, I just furrowed at what I saw.

Why are there people in us?
Is there a show?

I just held my breath when I realized who are these people.

Some of our neighbors and some of mom's friends--- they said.

Even though I am clueless I still entertained them. Mom already entertained them awhile ago.

They were greeting me and talking to me.

And just as I expected why they are here.

Of course I still somehow managed to give them something.
I'm even embarrassed because I didn't expect them to come to me.

I didn't know that there were many people who cared about me. Where in fact, it's my first time to just met some of them and even talked to.

It's a bit embarrassing for Adam to see this. But it's a good thing because he was just smiling all the time.

They even thought that Adam was my boyfriend and they were even shroving as they said that but I said that we are really just friends.
And because of what I said that, some of the itchy people here are trying to get the attention of Adam.
But, Adam just ignores them.
Just as the people who were supposed to be 'saying hello' to me leaves, Bella arrived.

Even she got surprised when she saw people came out from our house.

"What's going on, twin?" Bella immediately asked me when she got close to us.

"They said they just want to say hello." She just nodded at my answer.

"Are you alone?" I just asked here.

She shook her head first before answering.

"I'm with Trev. He's still in the car. I've been sent first even though I want us to get here together," she replied.

"Why?"

"He's getting something." I just nodded as response.

"Where's aunt?" she just asked.

"She leave for a while. She went somewhere I guess," I replied.

"It's great, isn't it? It's like magic. The same thing happened to me yesterday." I just laughed a little at what she said.

"Let's just go inside! You're really crazy!" I just shook my head as said that.

I was the first to enter and she just followed me.

We immediately went upstairs where Adam was waiting on the balcony.

"Hi!" Bella greeted causing Adam to stand up.

"Hey, hi!" But he sat down again when Bella and I sat down, too.

Trev was just coming up and that's when I saw what Bella was saying he was taking. They were with someone else.

"Oh my! your son is so cute!" I immediately exclaimed when I saw the young boy with him.

His skin is smooth and clear, his cheeks are a bit plump and his lips are red and slightly pouty!


He's just so adorable!

I stand up and I immediately approached them and then I slightly squeezed the child's left cheek when I got near them.

"Hello, baby!" I greeted him when our faces were level because I bowed.

I'm still squeezing those soft cheeks!

"Hello," he greeted me in a soft voice that made me smile.

I'm really getting happy with him because he's really cute!
He also has long eyelashes! His eyes are also beautiful! I can say that he can become an actor and heartthrob in the future!

Well, maybe it's because of the mixture of good genes of his parents that's why he's so cute.

"What's your name?" I asked while smiling here.

"Terenz, ms." He retreated slightly and hid behind his father.

What a little gentleman!

But, I pouted my lips because of what he did.

"Did I scare you? You're just cute, tho. Sorry." But he only hid himself more in his father.

"If that got fever," Trev teased so I looked up at him and gave him a sharp look.

"You're terrible! With the beauty I have? Duh, come on!" I even threw my hair in the air and they just laughed.

I looked at the boy again.

"Don't be afraid, baby. We're good, your aunt Amethyst is kind." I extended my hand but he didn't want to come.

"Don't be shy, come with me. Let's sit right there." I even pointed to the chair but he just shook his head.

I just pouted when I heard Bella and Trev's laughter.

"Alright. Just stay with your daddy." I stood up and sat on one of the chairs.

They followed and also sat in the other chair here.

Trev just hugged his son because he didn't want to go down or be separated from his father.


"This ks delicious, baby, try it." I took a donut that was on the table and handed it to the boy.
He took it so I smiled.

"Thank you," he responded shyly.

"You're welcome!" I smiled at it sweetly.

"How old is he now, Trev?" I looked up at Trev.

"He's already six years old," he replied while fixing the child in his own seat.

Because the boy has agreed to let go of his father.

"When will he turn seven?" I asked more.

"August 24," he answered.

"Ah, it's already next week, huh? How nice! Because you're with him." I once again slightly squeezed the cheek of the child who was busy eating the donut he was holding.

"Yes, that's why I really hit it when we got home." I just nodded at what he said while smiling.

"Baby Terence." I touched him and he looked at me.

"Say hi to Uncle Adam." I even pointed to Adam who was just smiling while looking at the boy.

"Hello, Uncle Adam." The boy even waved his hand.

"Hello, sweetie!" Adam replied with a smile.

Terenz suddenly got down from his chair and came to Adam to give do him the mano.

Before he returned to his seat, he also did that to me, so we just clapped in joy.

"How respectful!" I complimented.

I just heard Bella cleared her throato.

"So, where are we going on vacation?" she started.

We did talk about the vacation we were going to take.

We decided to just go to the beach in Boracay for three days.

Then two or three days in Bohol.

Then we will go home for baby Terenz's birthday.

We will plan it carefully to make it memorable for Terenz.

After Terenz's birthday, we plan to go hiking to Mt. Apo in South Central Mindanao.

We will really make the most of it because the next one is in Puerto Princesa and then in Vigan City.

And for our last week it's just here in Manila.

The cost, right? Fortunately, Adam sponsored it quite a bit.

We really don't want to go in so much many places because we are thinking about the cost but Adam still insisted.

We did enjoy our first destination which is at the White Beach in Boracay.

As in the sea made us feel relieved and also the surroundings.

We enjoyed more the games we did and we even did bonfire every night.

It was only there that I tried marshmallows that were sifted over fire. I didn't know it's delicious, well as long as it doesn't get burn.

Then after Boracay we went to Bohol.

Adam was even amazed and he really got amazed in the Chocolate Hills.

Then we went back to Manila for Baby Terenz's birthday.

We plan it well because the child deserves it.

While here in Manila, Adam just stayed at his hotel. We just let him rest.

We just go to him or he comes to us.

Sometimes he come with us shopping for things to be used for baby Terenz's birthday.

Just like now, Terenz's birthday is just two days away.

He came with us and we are using the car we rented because it was bigger than Trev's car.

We went to the mall and completed everything we would use for Terenz's birthday.

"Twin, come to think of this. What if sir. Adam courted with you?" Bella teased as soon as we entered the car.
Only the three of us are here with Terenz.
Because, Trev and Adam are still fixing the heavy things we bought.
They were putting those in the compartment.

Bella and baby Terenz were in the back seat while I was here in the passenger seat.

"That's vague. We're really just friends, come on?" I just laughed at her.

"But what if?" She moved even closer to me so I backed away a bit.

"Then... Let's just see," I said slowly.

After a while, the two entered as well, so Bella arranged her seat.

I half opened the window next to me and peeked out.

My jaw just dropped and my chest just got beating so fast when I saw something in the distance.

A familiar man.

I know that was him.

I can see his whole face.

It's Aivan!

He got out of his car and when he got out, he opened the door on the back seat.

He couldn't see me because we were quite far from them and I closed the car window again.

I saw that he was supporting someone to come out of there.

Support someone?


Yes! Because after a while he was already carrying a young girl!

The girl seemed like doesn't want to get off of him so he has no choice but to just lift her and carry her.

After a while, a woman came out from the passenger seat.

I can't see the woman's face because she is bent over and her face is also covered by her hair.

The woman immediately turned around and I could see how sexy she was because she was only wearing a tube.

I still didn't saw her face.

I don't know and I know I shouldn't feel this but it's like thousands of needles are piercing my heart!
It's also like it was getting squeezed!

After a while they walked away together.

I-It's Aivan?
He already have a family?

I shouldn't care and accept it but why is this?
I should be happy because that means he will now really won't care about me because he already have a family. But why I felt something different?

Is this just also a sign that I should love again?
