CHAPTER 24

AMETHYST'S POV

I opened my eyes and then I stretched first. I looked for my phone to check what time it was.

"It's already five o'clock pm?" I said while my one eye was still closed.

"Is mom already here?" I asked myself as I sat up in bed.

I also got up immediately to go to the bathroom because I suddenly felt my stomach got heavy.

When I left the room I found nothing. I have no one at home.

Crystal really go out.

When I came out of the bathroom I went straight to the kitchen. I immediately grabbed a cup and spoon.

I put in my cup a two tablespoons of creamer, a tablespoon of sugar and half a tablespoon of coffee. I stirred it first and smelled it before I put hot water on it and I stirred it again.

I used to measure this cup and as far as I remember, it's size was 14 oz.

I don't know, I'd rather have a cup of coffee today than to eat something.

I'm still mixing my coffee while heading to the living room. I will watch first.

Later on, while I was sipping my coffee, I heard the motorcycle of Uncle Arnaldo and I know that mom was with him.

I didn't leave my seat and looked at the door to wait for mama to enter.

"Oh, Amethyst." Mama was a little taken aback when she saw me but she also smiled and so did I.

I stood up and then I reached her to kiss her on her cheeks.

"What time did you get home?" mama asked as soon as we sat down.

"Around two o'clock," I replied.

"How's your walk?"

"It's just okay, it's just fine." I even shrugged.

"Did you already saw your sister?"

"Yes, yes. She's the one that I saw first here. Besides, if she's not here, mama, how can I get in here? I don't have a key to our house anymore." Mama just reacted to what I said so I laughed.

"Because she's busy. She's almost not at home because they're practicing. There's an event at their school. And then sometimes she not locking the gate," mama explained.

"Ah, is that so? And at least we know that she knows how to participate in her school." Mama just nodded at what I said.

"Oh my gosh, I miss you." Then mama hugged me and I hugged her back.

Can you let anyone hurt this kind of family? So, it doesn't matter that I'll suffer while I'm with Aivan, because based on Aivan's personality, he can really do his threats to me.

"Mom, I'm leaving later," I said as soon as we let go of the hug.

"Where are you going?"

"To Bella, ma. We'll meet," I replied while smiling.

"Oh, okay, alright. What time are you going to leave?" I thought for a moment.

"I'm probably leaving around 7:30 pm." Mom just nodded.

"But will you eat first?" I thought about that question from mama.

"I don't know---"

"Aw, that's sad." Mama cuts me off.

"Yes yes, we'll eat first before I leave. I'll just tell Bella that we'll be leaving around nine pm," I said while giggling to mama. Why did she sulk so fast? Well, I can't blame her. We're not together for a week.

"The day after tomorrow, ma, I'm leaving too," I immediately said to mama that made her eyebrows to meet.

"You just arrived then you're saying right away when you're leaving," mama's voice was a bit annoyed so I got a bit alert.
Of course, I was wrong.

"Oh, alright, ma, just act like I didn't say anything and you haven't heard anything. I'll just tell you again tomorrow or later." Mama jokingly pulled my hair because of this.

"Aww, a little too much, huh? It's like I'm others, huh?" And mama and I just laughed.

"Where's uncle, ma? Why isn't he coming in yet?" I asked later on because mama had been here for a quite long time now but uncle hadn't come in yet.

"Probably talking to someone outside," mama replied and I just nodded.

"Hello, twin? I'm leaving," I immediately said on the other line when Bella answered my call.

"Oh, okay. I'm already on my way," she replied on the other line.

"Oh, okay, alright. You will wait for some minutes, huh?"

"Oum, alright. Take care!"

"Take care, too." I just let Bella end the call.

"I'm leaving first, Tal." I looked at Crystal who was busy using her cell phone on the bed.

"Okay, sis. Take care!!" She looked up at me.

"We’re leaving tomorrow,” I said first.

"Like bonding?"

"Yes yup,"

"Oh, I like that idea." Her left eyebrow was even raised so I just laughed.

I left the room and found mama and uncle watching TV.

"Mom, I'm leaving first." They both looked up at me.

"Oh, alright. Just be careful, huh?" mama nodded her head.

"Where are you going, hija?" uncle asked.

"I'm going to see Bella," I replied with a smile.

"Oh, okay, just don't try to get home too late. It's dangerous outside, especially you guys are girls. It's hard, later on the crazy people around will saw you," said Tito.

"Yes, thank you for the reminder, uncle,"

"Byeee!" I waved at them and they nodded at the same time.

I walked to the door but I also stopped when I was really at the door.

"I almost forgot, mama." I turned to them and they turned to me too.

"What's that, honey?" mama asked.

"Exactly, you won't go work tomorrow, right??" I asked and mama just nodded.

"Let's go outside, ma. It's going to be like a bonding," I told them.

"How come you have money? It doesn't seem like you're not processing any papers and such, huh?" mama curiously asked.

"I'm leaving again the next day and I don't know when I'll be back, that's like I think it's a good idea if we have a bonding first. I just said we'll leave tomorrow. Maybe you're already sleeping when I get home later."

Mom just nodded.

"Alright, we're not going to lock the gate anymore," mama said.

"Thanks. Anyways, let's share the cost tomorrow, ma. Mwah." And I hurried out of the house.

When I entered the bar I immediately walked to the corner because that's where Bella and I always sit when we come here.

It's a good thing because she's already there and the seat is free. That place is also good for three. Luckily, we were not preceded by others.

I slowly approached her. The lunatic doesn't noticed me because she's busy on using her phone.

"Hey, twin!" I lightly flicked her on her ear that's why she flinched a little then she immediately looked at me.

"Twiiin!" She stood up quickly and immediately hugged me with joy.

"How are you?" I immediately asked her after we let go of the hug.

"I can handle it. How about you?" she answered as we holding each others hands.

"Can handle?"

"You already know that. It's just about family and you already know that I can handle this." She hit me lightly on the hand and I just nodded.

"How about you? When you drink like this, I know your problem is a bit serious," she said while laughing so I just laughed too.

"It's too much trouble, twin. Oh my gosh, I don't really know why this is happening to me," I said and rolled my eyes.

"Oh, what's that? Come on, let's drink bottoms up!" I just shook my head before we went to the counter and ordered light beers. It's only eight pieces. I can't drink too much because we're leaving tomorrow.

"Why don't you report to the police?!" Bella annoyingly asked me.

I closed my eyes for a moment and was slightly taken aback because of her reaction.

"Because he have a lot of money, he's strong and influential. He's also brutal. Maybe instead of me being free and getting justice, maybe our lives will just end." We were in our third bottle when I told her about me and Aivan. I also told Bella that Aivan was the reason why Earl died.

She just messaged her temple because of what I said.

"How long is your deal?" she just asked me.

"Two months really, it's already been two weeks. Then it should be one month and two more weeks but it's a good thing that he agreed that he will lessen the two weeks. So, that's why our deal will only last one month from now." Bella just sighed.

"I'm worried about you, twin. What's going to happen then?" she asked then she drinks her bottle of light beer.

"He said the day after tomorrow, I will be with him first until our deal ends." My eyes were looking down and then after a few moment, I also drink my bottle of light beer.

"So, you will be with him for one month?" And I just nodded.

"Oh, darn it, I hope he will not kill you. You said he can anyone that he would like to kill!" I quickly looked at her and saw that she was biting her nails.

"Woah, that's just so," I whispered.

"Do you have a picture of him?" she just asked me and then drank again.

We were also about to run out of our third bottle.

"Yes, wait a minute," I replied, and I looked for our picture from the gallery of my phone.

"Here." Then I showed her the picture of Aivan and me when we were at the falls.

Bella's eyes widened and her gaze is alternately shifting at me and to my phone screen.

"Are you serious?! He's that?!" She pointed at my phone while looking at me.

"Yes, why, do you know him?" I asked her.
She grabbed my phone and stared at it closer.

"Hey, why?" I tapped her shoulder.

She looked at me. "He's such a hottie, bal."

I just closed my eyes. Oh, come on! This was what I'm thinking about!

"Bal, don't be fooled by that! That's heartless!" I pointed to Aivan on my phone.


"I'm willing to give my heart." She's like she's not with herself.

"Twiiin!"

"Oh! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!" she said while firmly closing her eyes.

I took my phone from her.

"Maybe my alcohol tolerance has dropped because it's been a long time since the last time I drink. Maybe I'm already a bit drunk." She even wiped her own face using her palms.

"You're like, argh! I don't know there," I said before I hid my phone.

"Does he have men?" she just asked me after a few moments.

"Yes why?"

"Did Aivan kill Earl or his men did that?"

"Twin! Even if it's one of his man who killed Earl, the master mind is still Aivan!"

"Does he gave order?" I was silenced by Bella's question.

"I-it's still like that! That's still the tentacles of Aivan!" She just wiped her face again.

"I'm sorry, bal. Even if I just saw him on a picture, I felt like I got hypnotized."

She just saw him on a picture. How about me that already been with him?


"But admit it first, hey!" Suddenly it seemed like she got into her senses and pointed at me.

"Oh why?" I wonder here.

"Weird question but I need to know. Is there already something happened with you two?" She even brought her ear a little closer to mine.

I just closed my mouth. I'm thinking if I should really answer her question.

"Answer!" And I nodded slowly.

"Oh, myyyy!" She screamed so hard that why I just lowered my eyes. Embarrassing.

"How many times already?" Suddenly her voice returned to serious.

"M-many times a-already." I glanced at her a little and she just hit her forehead using her palm.

"Please, tell me you're using protection,"
"Protection?" And she just wiped her face again.

"Are you crazy?!" She hit me on the forehead.

"O-ouch!" And then I caressed the part of my forehead that she flicked.

"Dork, what if you get pregnant?!" My heart started beating faster because of this question.

"Is he pulling it out? Or he's exploding it inside?"

I can't answer to her question.

"Oh, darn it! inside?!" She hit our table.

"Bal, even if you don't speak I know the answer. Just be ready just in case," she said while drinking again.

"What am I going to do, twin?" I held her hand.

I'm getting nervous!

"Talk to him if you can. You can also just wish that our suspicion is not correct," she said shaking her head.

The next day in the middle of my family and I having fun, Aivan texted me.

"Just a reminder for tomorrow." I just gasped at his text.

"Sis, let's go. The show is about to start," Crystal called to me because we were going to go to the cinema to watch.

What we did earlier was we roam, eat, play, go to places with rides and now we will watch a movie first before eating again.

What can happen to me in a month with Aivan?

Also, I can't get over what Bella and I talked about last night.
