Chapter 17
Victoria stared at her now fully grown daughter, she looked so much like her father and Victoria couldn't stop staring. Her hair, her smile she was most certainly her daughter. The happiness in her heart was immense and she couldn't let her go again.
Elizabeth, also known as Stacey, was looking at her mother, she is still in shock that she is the missing Princess of England, she is happy and also so so mad. Her parents had died some years ago, but she never expected this. She doesn't know if they knew who she actually was, she knew she came from an orphanage but surley she was searched for. Wasn't she.
"Why has it taken thirty-five years to find me?" She asked to her mother. Victoria's face went down, she didn't really have an answer.
"We didn't make it massive news, we knew it was an inside job and they gave fake names, fake accounts all sorts so they could make you disappear, and it was already difficult on us. So we made it known that you had gone missing, but I do regret not making it massive news. We just didn't want to anger the people who had taken you so they didn't do anything drastic. There has been an ongoing investigation, with private detectives and police investigations, it was constent. They never stopped, and neither did we."
Victoria looked at her daughter, and her grandaughter. She carried on with her story.
"We didn't want to hinder your brother, he was already torn up with your disappearance and I never knew what had happened. Your father died a few years ago, we weren't happy towards the end he never got past your disappearance. We fought, and we didn't get on although we did love each other very much. But he died, never knowing that you were only a few hours away." Victoria sighed at the end of her sentence, she was so sad at the thought that her daughter never met her father at an age she could remember.
Elizabeth stared into space, her husband rubbing her back in a loving way but he didn't really know what to do. He was worried about his wife, but he tried not to let it show.
"What's next?" Darley asked for her mother, they were still waiting on Jake and she knew she had to take charge otherwise her mother will be too overwhelmed.
Victoria looked at her Granddaughter.
"I want you to move in with us. Into the palace for your own protection, this wil get out to the press and the full story will be told. We are going to have to do tours and interviews, the police will want to talk to you as well Elizabeth. It's going to be alot of change." Victoria was staring at her new family, her son behind her looking at his sister with hope in his eyes. He wanted his children to know their Auntie and cousins.
However, Max had a different approach. He needed his mate by his side, there's no way he can run his pack from here which means he would have to give it up. Or move them here too, which he doubts would happen. No, she is not moving here. It's not happening. His grip on Darleys leg tightened. He was not letting his mate go now.
She looked over to her mate, she could see his eyes going darker as he and Dark were conversing. She knew that he would be annoyed at what her grandmother was saying, but she also knew that she would have to stay here. Especially if they were gonna stop something similar hapoening, as the people that took her mother are still out there. And then she has to learn to become a royal.
"But, what about the pack?" My dad asked, mainly to Max. But Max had no answers.
Victoria looked up "I'm the Queen of the wolves, I can make it happen as I am their boss." Max growled, but the Queen just growled right back. She was right she is his boss.
"I'm still a wolf Max, and I am the highest authority for both the wolves and humans of this country. Whether you agree or don't, I have the final say." She said and then she turned back to my mother.
"What do you think?" She asked her newly returned daughter.
"I don't know, I need to think about it. We have a life back in our little town of Tringty, jobs and a house."
"All of that can be taken care of, keep the house as a hideout from the press" As she said this the door opened, Jake walked in with Maddie.
"Hi mum, Dad, D and Max." He walked over to mum and gave her a hug. Then he turned to face his now uncle and grandmother. He knew it was Nathaniel who had saved him, he knew that they had knew who they were or possibly were for a while but it does bother him they waited some time. But at the same time he was saved by them. So he was grateful for that.
"I don't really know how to address you two." Jake said. Victoria stood up.
"Victoria for now, and hopefully soon that will turn to nana." Then she hugged her grandson, finally her family is complete, and with any luck will stay that way.
