Chapter 19
Darley stared at the door, she had the sudden urge to smash something against it. So she did, she picked up a lamp and threw it across the room, she only needed one lamp now as she was the only one in the room.
The pot smashed into a million pieces, and as that crumbled so did she. She sunk to the floor and cried, her shoulders moving as she sobbed. How could he leave her in a time like this, he was meant to be her mate, yet he leaves her when she needs him most. How could he do this to her? How could Dark do this to Flame? Just because she wanted to support her mother.
Just then there was a knock at the door, Victoria opened it.
"Are you okay darling?" She asked, Darley just slumped in the floor, tears falling down her red cheeks.
"Oh come here." Darleys grandmother held out her arms for her grandaughter to sink into. As she held her grandaughter she thought back to her earlier conversation with Max, the man of the hour.
As he stormed out of the room Victoria heard him, she knew he would need a car he was to angry to run and not get hurt. She waiting at the back door, where he came thundering down.
"She'll never forgive you." Victoria told him. He looked startled.
"So, I'll never forgive her for this." He said. What a stuck up twat.
"For what, she's just found out something major, her whole life has changed and she has to stay here for her safety yet you can't forgive her. You should be ashamed of yourself." Victoria couldn't believe this, he was meant to be an alpha and he hasn't got his way so he decides to act like a child.
Max looked at her, the Queen of England. And he looked down.
"I'm going, I don't want to be here. And she's left me. For you. I'm out." He then walked off to the car.
"Good, she is better off without you. I'll make sure of it." And with that the Queen shut the door and walked back up the red carpet on the stairs. The chandeliers gleamed as she walked by them, the moon was bright against the cream curtains her shadoe bouncing on the walls. She walked to her grandaughter room ready to hold her as she cried, as she did once upon a time.

Max slammed the car door, his heart racing and his breathing erratic.
As the driver set off he turned his head towards the palace. He couldn't believe that Darley could do this to him, how could she just leave him like this, leave the pack.
The tress whizzed past the window at an alarming rate, Max soon realised that this wasn't the way home.
"Excuse me." He shouted, but the driver didn't turn. Didn't even glance up. He just kept going. Max tried to open the door but it was locked. What was happening.
The car came to a grinding holt, the driver turned and a gun appeared.
"Stay where you are Alpha. Don't move." That voice was oddly familiar, then the driver took his glasses off and smiled at Max.
"Hello old friend." Then the window shattered, and Max's world went black.

The sun rose at the Palace, streaming through the rose coloured curtains in Darley's room, her room lit up enough to highlight the figure in the bed, who hadn't gone to sleep until 5am, she couldn't stop her head from turning about what Max did.
As the sun shon through it woke Darley up. I need to get black out curtains she thought. Then she got up, she couldn't stand laying in bed any longer.
She drew the curtains and went to sit on the window seat with the red blanket on it and the rose coloured cushions on either side, the massive window.
The view was astonishing, the garden was full of roses and fruit trees, the fountain in the middle with two lions at either side and a summer house at the back.
She sighed, and took in her surroundings, she was in Buckingham Palace in England. She was Queen Victoria's grandaughter and this entailed many new responsibilities on her shoulders. The only downer, is that her mate decided not to help her.
Suddenly her phone rang, she stood up and picked up her phone. The number was unknown.
"Hello?" There was heavy breathing on the other line.
"If you want to see your mate again, then come to the coordinates that I will text you. If you are not here in 5 hours time. He will be dead." Then they hung up.
She knew that voice, very well. And that scared her. How could they do this?
