Chapter 29 - Semi final

Darley clsoed her eyes with the realisation of what was happening. She was alive, the woman who had haunted her dreams for years, since the day she killed her. How did she do it, how did she manage to stay alive, after the explosion as well as the stabbing she had to have some power to still be alive.

"Did you really think I was dead?" She whispered as the whole security team watched in agony. Was this to be another member of the royals family last day on this planet.

Darley looked at Max, his whole body was shaking and he was trying very hard not to change in front of everyone, what was going to happen. Not even a wolf, a gold one at that could escape the fate of a bullet in the brain.

"Did you really think that I was going to go out this easily, that my mother would want to help the girl who killed her beloved daughter. Really." She shouted at the team, at Max. Rachel wanted his attention, she wanted him to out himself so that they would be villians in her story. She wanted an audience and boy did she get one.

"It was you, all along." She smiled.

"Do you really think I would let you be happy, and have the life that I deserved, the life that I wanted. I was promised to be Queen." Her arm flung out as she made a point, Darley used this move against Rachel, she grabbed her hand and twisted it. She turned around and grabbed the gun, then held it at Rachel.

"Did you really think that I haven't learnt how to defend myself since being the interest of so many people." Then her hands started burning. There was poison on the gun, she noticed Rachel wearing gloves.

Then she collapsed.

Max watched as his wife collapsed, then she disapeared. Rachel was looking at the ground as though it has swallowed her enemy up and she looked towards Max, as she went to run in the other direction she was surrounded by guards, gun to her head she was led away. This wasn't the end of her, but it was enough to keep her out of the way as they searched for the Princess. What had happened, people and wolves don't just disappear.

Max went to what was left of the castle, but she wasn't there. He went to their safe house, but she wasn't there. Then he had an idea.

He rang her parents, telling them to meet him at their house where they used to live.

A few hours later he got to the door, to see it was unlocked and had been opened. He caustiously went upstairs, where he heard noises. He walked in ready to pounce, to find Lucinda talking to her mate as she cared for his. He was in shock.

"What is she doing here." Lucinda looked at him, she wasn't shocked he was there.

"I knew you'd come, she signalled me." She said as she bathed D's hands and put a damp cloth on her face.

"What do you mean she signalled you?" He asked. Lucinda looked at him.

"Sit down." She said, he did next to his wife, he reached to touch her.

"Don't! She is still posionous. She could kill you." He put his hand back.

"What is happening Lucinda." She sighed.

"Okay, she was waiting to tell you but with the looks of things I haven't got a choice.

"Have you ever noticed you wife acting differently the last few weeks since her grandmothers death? Because, she has powers. Alot of them, they are very strong and she is a very powerful woman. Gold wolves are known for their powers, its not the colour people want to get rid of its the powers that they possess, they can take over the world if they so choose. Except nothing has happened to bring out anyone powers, until there was a huge explosion and her daughter was nearly killed. The powers she has are those that are to protect herself and her family, and that day they kicked in and they were able to make her powerful. Since then she has realised the type of powers she has, she knows what she can do and how she can do it. Because I have been helping to teach her. So, when she collapsed the first thing her body knew to do was get out of danger, she used her teleport power to be able to do so, then somehow she sent me a signal so that I would come and look after her. I don't know how she did it, but she did." He looked in shock.
