Chapter 14

"Go ask the moon goddess yourself." Payne said.
"Let's just take her back. If she discovers our world,it might be too much for her to take." Payne said.
"Fine." I agreed.
I changed my cloth to a white shirt and a blue jean trouser. I work a white sneakers to match.
I carried her and her neck chain popped out. It had a moon pendant. It was glowing and really pretty. I've never seen a pendant glow like that before.
We sneaked back to the portal and went to her world.
"Wait!" Payne said.
"What are we going to tell Stella and how are we going to explain how we saved her?" Payne asked.
"I don't know. When we reach the bridge we'll cross it." I said and we went back to Eleanor's house.
We knocked and she came to open the door. She saw us and her face brightened.
She opened the door widely for us to cone inside.
We went in and I dropped Zoe on the chair carefully. She hasn't regained consciousness.
"Where did you guys find her?" Eleanor asked.
"By the roadside. She was kidnapped and had ran away." I lied.
"Wow. Such a lucky girl. Thank God you saved her." Eleanor said.
"Yes. We were lucky to have seen her fast." I said.
"You guys should take her to your room where she can rest well. I'll go make something to eat." She said.
I carried her to I and Payne's room and dropped her carefully on the bed.
I somehow feel attracted to her. Her nose,lips and her hair. She looks so beautiful and innocent.

I went downstairs to meet Payne. He was helping Eleanor.
"Payne!" I called him and he answered.
"How are we going to call Stella that we've found her?" I asked.
"How am I supposed to know?" Payne almost yelled.
"We'll just wait for her to wake up." Payne said.
"Why is she not waking up since?" I asked again.
"Go ask her." Payne rolled his eyes and left.

We finished cooking and Zoe hasn't woken up yet. I began to feel worried. I stood up from the chair I had been sitting on since. I folded my hands and started pacing round the room.
"Wait! Did you guys take her to the hospital?" Eleanor asked.
"How come she's unconscious?" She asked again before we could answer the question.

"Yes we did. We took her before coming here. She's sleeping,she is conscious" Payne lied..
"How come she was discharged immediately? Did they prescribe a drug?" She asked again.
"It was just a cut on her wrist that's all." I answered.
"Sorry for the questions I'm just worried that's all."
"Its okay." I forced a smile.
Eleanor and Payne sat down to eat while I went upstairs.
I sat down and watched her,hoping she'd gain consciousness.
I held her hand and after a while I placed my head in her hand and slept off.


"Where am I?" I heard a soft voice and I woke up from sleep.
"At my house." I said.
She tried standing up but she fell back and held her head. She looked at her self. She still had the same clothes she wore when she was kidnapper with blood stains on it.
"Just lie down." I said standing beside her.
"Someone kidnapped me. They took me to this horrible place. He cut my wrist." She started explaining.

"I was scared. They were pale and looking odd." She started crying.
It was odd for me because I didn't know how to console a person.
"Its okay you are safe now." I assured.
"How did I escape?" She asked me.
"I don't know. I just saw you by the road side." I lied.
I guess she didn't see me when I came in with Klaus,maybe she had gone unconscious then.
"Where's Stella?" She asked.
"I don't know. I'm sure she must be looking for you." I said.
"Would you like some water?"I asked.
" Yes." She answered.
"I'd like to call Stella too." She said.
"Call?" I was confused.
"Yes. Bring your phone." She stretched her hand.
"Telephone? Its downstairs I'll get it for you." I lied and went downstairs.
"Payne!" I called and he growled. Food as still in his mouth when he walked up to me.
"What is it again?" He asked.
"She's awake." I said.
"That's good." Payne said. "Now she can leave and meet Stella."
"What's a telephone?" I asked and the same confused look I had appeared on Paynes face.
"Telephone? I've never heard of it before." He said.
"Me too. Let's asked Eleanor." I suggested.
"We have to be smart about it. She must not know we aren't from this world." He said.
"Sure."
"Eleanor can i have some telephone please?" I asked.
"You need to work on your grammer." She said. "Its over there." She pointed on the center table in the living room but there were two things on the table and I didn't know which to pick.
There were both rectangular in shape but one has more buttons than the other.
I took the one with more button and asked. "This?"
She laughed. "That's a TV remote."
I dropped it quickly and took the other one. "I was just playing with you." I said. I took a glass cup and took some water from the tap for Zoe.
I walked upstairs and handed the water to her which she drank hastily.
Then I gave her the telephone.
She opened it and the phone screen brightened. it was dark when I was holding it.
"What kind of sorcery is this?" I asked myself.
She pressed the screen and I heard Stella's voice.
"Wow." I was surprised but I couldn't show it.
"Hi Stella." Zoe greeted.
I could hear Stella's voice. She was screaming.
"Where are you? Are you okay?" Stella asked.
"I'm fine.I'm at Sam's house." She said.
"I'm coming right now." She said and dropped the call.
"Happy now?" I asked.
"Yes." She took a deep breath.
It was then I noticed she has a bruise by her neck. I moved close and touched it.She flinched.
"It hurts?" I asked.
"Yes." She said.
"Just rest. We'll take you to the hos ahm ho." I was trying to remember how Eleanor pronounced it.
"Hospital." She said.
"Yes." I said.
"You are really weird." She said.
"Yes. I love joking a lot." I lied again.
"Like how you joked about being a werewolf."
"Yes." I said.
I've decided to hide the truth about my self until she discovers herself.
"The prophesy is wrong anyways." My subconscious added.
"I'd like to take a bath and change my clothes." She requested.
"The bathroom is over there." I pointed to the left. "And you can pick any cloth here. I doubt my trousers would fit." I said.
"I'll manage." She said.
"Do you need any help standing up?" I asked.
"No. I'll do it myself." She said and i went downstairs.
