Chapter 20

******Sam******
I got to my house and saw Payne waiting outside for me. I knew he was about to ask about the date so I walked faster. "How was the ride in the moving metal,I mean taxi?" He asked and I was shocked.
"So you want a ride in the taxi again?" I nodded negatively.
"What? Its fun." He eyed me.
"How was the date then?" He asked and I entered the house and he followed suit.
"Where's ma'am Eleanor?"
"She's asleep. Obviously." He answered sharply.
"Tell me,how was the date?" He enquired again.
"It was fine. She got drunk." I announced.
"Wait. Where's your jacket?" He scanned my body.
"Its on my head." I pushed him out of my way and entered the bathroom.
"You gave it to her?" He asked again.
"Stop bothering me." I yelled.
"She'd think you're a real gentleman she wouldn't know you're the greatest jerk of all time." He commented.
"Thanks for the compliment." I said and continued bathing.
I finished and changed into my pyjamas.
I laid on the bed.
"Aren't you eating?" He asked me.
"No." I yelled.
He turned off the light and he laid on the couch.
I stared at the ceiling reminiscing my moment with Zoe. We almost kissed. I know I have said I didn't like her but now I do but I still have to be careful around her because of the prophecy. I don't even know what to do. "Should I accept her as my mate and protect her from Klaus and Carlos or go back to my kingdom and rule with an iron fist." I kept thinking till I slept off.

I was woken up by Payne. "Sleepy head. We have jobs you know." He said and I grunted.
"I hate this world." I threw the blanket I had clung to away.
"Next time pray your mate is in the same world as you are." He hissed and I stood up.
"Do you still remember how Eleanor had sent a message yesterday? I have forgotten." I asked.
"Bring it let me try." He said and he started battling with the phone.
"Just say good morning and ask if she okay and thank you for the drinks."
I went to the bathroom and had taken my bath. I came out and dressed up too before he yelled. "Yes!"
"Did you get it?" I asked trying I check what he has done.

"Yes but I don't know how to select the person you want to send it to." He confessed.
"Oh! I know that." I collected it and sent a message to Zoe.
He taught me how he had done it and I showed him how I had selected a contact.
We walked to the coffee shop today and Payne grumbled like a little child.
"I want to ride in the moving metals." He grumbled.
"There's no money left." I said for the nth time today.
We got to the shop and assumed our duties.
my phone beeped and it was a message from Zoe.
"Good morning. Yes I'm fine and sorry for troubling you yesterday. Thanks."
"How was your night? Did you sleep well?" I texted back and she replied immediately.
"My night was fine. I slept well because I saw you in my dreams."
I wanted to reply but I had to attend to all the customers. We had many today.

We finished and I returned hone late at night.

*****Zoe*****
After not getting a message from Sam I had to prepare for school. I and Stella went to school and I had an impromptu test. The lecturer just came and and gave us a test. I wrote all I knew and submitted.
I was worried and frustrated.
I sat in the lecture room staring at my phone,waiting for Sam's message to pop up.
I wanted to go to the shop but I didn't want to appear as clingy.
Stella came in and saw me.
"Hey. You look dull today." She noticed.
"Yeah. Sam hasn't replied my texts." I rested my head on my hand.
"So? Please forget about Sam and move to Anderson. Anderson is the goal." She rolled her eyes.
"I don't know what's special about Sam." She mumbled.

"You cannot understand." I stood up and left the lecture room with Stella trying to keep up with my pace.

I bumped into Anderson on my way out of the building.
"Hey Zoe. I've been looking for you." He said.
"I've been busy, I'm sorry." I forced a smile.
"Are you less busy now? Want to take you out?" He asked and I lied immediately.
"I'm very busy. I have this assignment I ought to do." I said.
"Permit me to leave now." I asked politely.
"Sure. just reply my texts okay?"
"Okay."
We left and Stella kept disturbing me.
"On one hand you have someone who's begging you to reply his text,on the other hand you have someone who won't reply at all. Choose wisely." She said and we went home.

Finally Sam replied and I was happy.
"Sorry was just busy today. Had lots of customers."
"Its okay. I'm sure you must be tired now. Just go to bed. Goodnight dear." I texted back.
"Thanks for understanding. Goodnight."

Anderson messaged me and I ignored again.


******Anderson/Carlos******
I have been messaging Zoe but she has not been replying. Seems she is used to been kidnapped. "How will I get her consent from her to give me blood?" I asked myself.
"She's so stubborn."
I have to be gentle and act all nice and lovely dovey. "Humans suck."
Can't wait to get this through with so I can go back to Baltizar.

I tried staying awake but the human in me had to sleep. it was so uncomfortable and I had to bear it.

*****Blue Moon Kingdom******
Klaus was pacing round the room breaking things. Ceramic jugs which were placed on a table to beautify the room kept crashing. His wife just stood there scared to go close to him.
His guards also stood waiting patiently for him to stop.
"Carlos left Baltizar. If he comes back unsuccessful Sam will accept his mate and Blue moon will be no match for Moondor soon." He yelled.
His wife soon summoned courage and walked up to him. Like magic he hugged her and the guards left the room.
"What's going on?" Beatrice asked him.
"I want Sam's downfall. I want him dead or him on his knees begging me." He announced.

She released her self from the hug and her blue cape flung taking most space on the floor. She wore a white gown and her hair was packed in a pony tail.
"You are Klaus. There's nothing you cannot do. Sam is an ant compared to you but you have no choice but to back down and watch." She smiled and walked back to me.
"I know but." She cut him off by putting her index finger on his lips.
"Hush baby! All you need to do is to focus on our kingdom." She suggested.
