Chapter 29

Stepping out of the house I changed my mind. I was not in the mood to go anywhere. I remembered how I had saw Zoe hug Anderson when I wanted to go check on her. I had planned how I'll tell her how much I love her but she fucked up.

"I don't feel like going anymore." I informed Amelia.
She grabbed my hand. "You have to come with me. I promise,you'll enjoy the place."
"No,I've told you. I'm in no mood to go out now." I told her but she protested.
"You just have to come. Please."
It was then I saw Zoe and Stella step out of a taxi. Stella was in a jean trouser and a while singlet with a jean jacket while Zoe was wearing a blue gown. Her hair was scattered and her eyes were red and swollen.

"You didn't call or see me for three days and you are here with another woman." She yelled.
"What's your business if I'm with another woman. I saw you with your new boyfriend too." I yelled back and pushed Amelia from my side.
"Which boyfriend? I came here three days ago and Eleanor said you travelled. I guess I'm unimportant." She said.
"Yes,you are unimportant and crazy." The words just fell from my mouth.
Tears began to drop from her eyes.
"Yes. I'm unimportant. I'm crazy but guess the greatest mistake I made in my life. Its falling in love with you." She said and I saw the trashcan across the road raise up while Zoe's pendant glowed.
She had already gotten in the taxi and it drove off before I could stop her.
"What happened?" Payne rushed outside.
"Zoe was here." I said.
"And?" He asked again.
"Nothing." I went inside and Payne followed suit locking Amelia out.
She banged the door but we didn't let her in.
We went upstairs to discuss. I sat on the bed and tugged my hair.
"I messed up." I said.
"What did you do?" He asked.
"Zoe confessed she was in love with me." I said.
"Did you tell her you love her too?" I asked.
"No. I called her unimportant and crazy." I informed and Payne opened his mouth wide.
"She'll never forgive you." He said.
"I wanted to stop her and apologize but I noticed the trashcan across the street was levitating and her pendant was glowing." I informed Payne.
"She is an hybrid. She is an hybrid." Payne said.
"Yes. That has been established. What do I do?"
"Do?" He looked at me.
"Yes. How do I apologize and tell her I love her." I asked and he just stared at me like he has seen a ghost.
"I don't know. You handle it yourself. Or let's wait till tomorrow before we see Amelia. She's human so she'll know." He suggested.
"That's nice. I know you always have something good to say." I said

We went to the coffee shop and did our shift. I was already tired of all this. I just want to take Zoe and go back to Moondor where I had to do now work.

I came back home with Stella and cried my eyes out. We cuddled on the chair and Stella consoled me.
"That's how men are you should cry over them." Stella said.
"He called me crazy and unimportant. I love him." I said.
"You have to forget about him now. Thank God you still have Anderson." She said.
"No,I don't want Anderson. I want Sam." I said.
"Let me go get you some pain killers from the pharmacy so you'll sleep well this night. Don't leave the house." Stella warned and went out.

After waiting for Stella to come back. I went to the kitchen to take a cup of water because my throat were patched and dry. I drank water then I realized the dust bin in the kitchen was filled up. I took it out and poured it in the trashcan. It was then I noticed a cat across the road. It was my neighbours cat which I hate so much. The feeling of hate filled my heart at the moment and my heart ached.

My pendant glowed again and I stretched my hand to the cat. The cat laid on the floor and I went in.
I didn't want to know what I did to the cat because I was getting scared of what was happening to me lately. I'm sure it was already dead. I can't tell Sam anymore neither can I tell Stella.
I just sat and waited for Stella to come back home.

I and Payne woke up in the morning,this time we were waiting for Amelia. She came late in the afternoon.
"Hey Amelia." I put my hand around her neck.
"What?" She pouted.
"How to you apologize to a girl?" I asked her.
"You refused to go on a date with me and you think I'll help you apologize to Zoe aunty." She pouted.
"Fine. I'll go on a date with you. Just help me. What do girls like?" I asked.
"Flowers,chocolates,diamonds." She went on and on until I stopped her.
"We'll get flowers. Where can we get some?" We asked her and she smirked.
"I know a place." She answered and we all left the house.
Thank God we just got paid or else we wouldn't have any means to appease Zoe. I really want to tell her how I feel and want to get over all these so I can go back to my world. I'm tired of Iowa already.

We got to the flower shop and bought a bunch. We all boarded a taxi and went to Zoe's house. I knocked and she opened the door.
She jammed it immediately she saw me.
"Zoe please open the door. I'm sorry." I begged but she didn't answered. I begged and knocked several times but she didn't open the door or say something.
Stella came outside."Sam what do you want? Stop bothering her,its enough." She yelled and jammed the door.
Amelia was no where to be found.
"Where did she go to all of a sudden?" Payne asked me.
"I don't know too. I was talking to Stella." I said.

I squeezed my way in when Stella opened the door. I saw Zoe sitting and crying while holding a tissue.
"Hi." I said and she wanted to yell.
"I'm the girl you saw with Sam yesterday. I'm just a girl he saved. I'm not his girlfriend." I rested my back on the chair as Stella walked back in.
"Who are you?" She yelled.
"Its okay." Zoe said.
"Sam loves you. I swear. He can't be stupid sometimes." I whispered.
"How do you know he loves me?" She asked.
"He won't stop talking about you." I rolled my eyes.
"Would you go talk to him now? And confess you love him?" I asked her.
She stared at me for a while.
