Chapter 27
Amelia just stayed in the house, disturbing me and my peace.
Food was ready and we ate together including Amelia who refused to go home.
A knock was heard on the door when I returned my place in the kitchen sink for Payne to wash.
"Who's there?" Amelia asked as if she was the owner of the house.
I walked passed her, making sure my hand brushed over hers pushing her a little. She grunted.
I opened the door and it was Zoe.
She came alone thanks be to God.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Is it a crime to come here? Or am I no longer welcomed?" She said.
"No no no." I said opening the door widely and moving away which paved way for her to come in.
Amelia came to my side quickly and held my arm when Zoe came in side.
"Who's she?" They both chorused.
"Its none of your business." I answered.
"I'm talking to you Amelia." I corrected myself.
I pushed her out of the house gently and she struggled. "Bye."
"You can't do this to me. Sam open up." She banged the door few times before it was silent then I figured she must have left.
"I have something important to say." Zoe announced. I grabbed her hand and took her upstairs.
She sat on the bed and I sat on the chair opposite to her.
"Stella woke me up today. She said my pendant was glowing at night." She said.
"Isn't it normal?" I asked.
"It doesn't glow the way it did last night. it was really bright and I was feeling all kinds of emotions both good and evil." She said.
"Good and evil? This is going to be bad." My subconscious added.
"I don't know why I keep seeing you for stupid matters like this. I should probably see a psychiatrist." She said standing up to take her leave.
"Are you leaving now?" I asked.
"Yes,I'm sorry for disturbing you with my personal matters." She kissed my cheeks and smiled.
We went downstairs together and I escorted her outside.
I came back in and went straight to the room. I met Payne reading the book the old man gave us.
"She's an hybrid Sam." Payne said immediately I walked into the room.
"Hybrid? Really?" I asked again to confirm.
"Yes. If Zoe is who we really thing she is." Payne said.
"So one of her parents is a werewolf and the other is a witch." I concluded.
"I wish she could remember her childhood. How can we take her to Moondor?" He asked.
"At least we now know why Carlos is after her." I said.
I laid on my bed and slept off.
I couldn't sleep well. All I kept seeing was Zoe's face in my dream. I love her so much. Apart from how beautiful she is, we have this sort of chemistry and I can't wait for her to be mine but all the mysteries about her needs to be solved first.
"Should I trick her to Moondor?" She might be able to remember.
"What if she is not from Moondor?" I asked myself. All kinds of questions kept flooding my mind. it would soon be full moon in the next two days. "How would I and Payne manage in their world? Zoe mustn't find out now." I said and I turned o the bed.
"Are you okay?" I heard Payne's voice.
"I'm fine. Just thinking about some things." I answered.
"Zoe?"
"Yes,Zoe." I sighed.
"It would be full moon in the next two days and I'm here thinking of how to tell Zoe I like her." I said.
"You told me you didn't like her." Payne laughed.
"I was just joking, I didn't mean it. I liked her since the first time I saw her but I don't know how to tell her.." I confessed.
"Tell her anyhow." Paynes replied.
"She's a human. What if I do it the wrong way or what if she rejects me?" I asked.
"Then you get over your rejection and we go back to Moondor." Payne said bluntly.
He has never been this blunt. He was the one who convinced me to come here in the first place and I thought he was team Zoe.
"You are acting strange." I said.
"Yes. I know. I'm beginning to get scared of Zoe. Nothing feels right." He confessed.
"Why? How?" I asked as I sat up on the bed.
"She's half witch. Nothing is ever good from a witch." He said.
"We don't know if she's the one yet. She might not be the hybrid we thought she is. She might just be a girl who forgot her childhood." I said.
"I think its Zoe. Why else would Carlos be after her? I don't really like her anymore." He said and it made my heart shatter. If Payne doesn't like Zoe anymore, things would be difficult as from now on.
"Let's just keep an open mind." I said.
"Fine,I will." He said and he resumed reading the big book.
I stood up to stare at the sky. It was blue. The sun shone brightly and I chuckled.
"What a world?"
*******
Ever since I've had the last hallucinations I've been feeling really weird. "Sometimes I look at Stella and have a feeling or draining the life out of her and sometimes I feel like helping to do everything. I scratched my arm on the wall once and I had some bruises and the next day I couldn't find anything there again. It was as if I never has the bruises.
I thought of going to meet the psychiatrist but I didn't want to look crazy and I didn't want to go meet Sam for help. He might lose interest in me.
I've been waiting for him to ask me out but he has never did,he never even took me out on dates. I tried his number but he didn't pick neither did he message.
I decided to go to their house but Eleanor opened the door.
" Hey Zoe. How are you?"She asked.
"I'm fine, how about you ma'am?" I asked her.
"I'm fine too." She answered.
"Is Sam in?" I asked.
"No,He and Payne travelled yesterday." She announced and my heart shattered. Sam travelled without even informing me. I thought I was important to him.
"Okay ma'am. Thanks and take care." I said and left.
"The only guy I've ever loved doesn't even take me seriously."I tried his number again but he didn't pick it.
" He must think I'm a crazy woman. I hate everything. I hate everything." I whispered and tried to hold back my tears as I got into the taxi.
I slept off but I didn't get a scary dream instead I got a lovely one. The little girl I've always been dreaming of. The little girl hair was brown and short. It was packed in twos with a little fringe in front while her mom's hair was brown and long. They both wore the same cloth. A blue gown adorned with flowery embroidery.
She was in the room where her mother was teaching her magic but she couldn't get it right.
"Mom! Why am I not getting it right?" She asked when her Mom created a large green sparkling ball while hers were red and tiny.
"You need to focus honey." Her mom said.
"I'm focusing." She yelled and her red ball became big and it shoot forward destroying the door.
"Now we need to get a new door." A manly voice was heard and a man walked into the room. He was quite hairy and his hair was black. His beards were perfectly trimmed and his face looked as if it was sculpted. He looked really handsome.
"How's my daughter doing?" He squatted to her level.
"I just did a big magic, better than moms." She bragged.
"That's my baby girl." Z
Stella jammed the door waking me up. I couldn't hear her name.
