Chapter 17

Eleanor's phone beeped and I saw a message from Stella's number.
"She sent her address already." I informed him.
"I'm eating before I go anywhere." He eyed me.
"You're joking." I said.
"You better sit down because I'm not moving from here if I don't eat." He pursed his lips.
"Payne!" I yelled but he ignored.
I sat down in the dining room. I was hungry too but I wanted to sort out my issue with Zoe first. I just kept staring at the set of cutleries on the table

I was greeted by the sweet smell of the food as Eleanor put the plate in front of me. It looked like white worm with a red paste and some greens,vegetables to be precise. I just dug in trusting it would be delicious as usual.

"Hmmm!" I grunted.
"Hmmm." Payne mimicked.
"You didn't want to eat before." He said.
"Well now I'm eating." I stuck out my tongue.
"Whatever." He continued eating.
He finished eating and went to the pot to take more. I stood up immediately too and we started fighting to take more of the white worm.
"I'm the alpha." I whispered."
"Nobody cares." I yelled.
Ma'am Eleanor tried to separate us but we were too strong for her.
"There's more for you guys." She screamed.
We didn't listen so she let go.
I was getting furious already. My eyes has turned red and Payne dropped the pot.
"Have it." Payne said.
I took enough for myself and Payne took the rest. The way he was staring at me,I'm sure he would have cursed me several times.
I continued eating my white worms and winked at him. He frowned.
We finished and dropped the plate. Payne was about to wash it when ma'am Eleanor asked us to go to where we were going to. She even gave us money for a so called "taxi".
We got outside and stopped the taxi. It was one of those moving metals we had seen when we first cane to Iowa.
" Time for adventure." He said and the man opened the door for us and we got in.
"He noticed I'm an alpha." I whispered.
"The world doesn't revolve around you." He yelled.

"Please fasten your seat belts." He requested.
We looked at ourselves confused and we watched him fasten his.
We struggled to copy what he did and we finally got it when we heard a sound. The same sound his made.
"Are we animals?" I grunted after fastening the seat belt
"Literally." He rolled his eyes.
He drove and we watched as buildings disappeared past us immediately. it was fun to ride in one of these moving metals. It was far better than horses and legs. If I take this to Moondor I'll be the best alpha to ever reign.
He stopped by a brick house and he clicked a red button and the seat belt removed.
I and Payne were amazed. Such advancement.
We clicked ours too.
We gave him some money and he returned some.
"You over paid me." He said.
"Thank you." I said.
Payne snatched some bills from my hand and handed it over to the man.
"Manage it." He said.
The man came down and opened the door for us . We got down and walked to the door. We knocked and Stella opened the door.
"Welcome." She eyed me as I was in front.
"Payne is not here?" She asked.
He standing behind me. I squeezed my way in and she saw Payne who followed me in too.
I saw Zoe sitting on the chair drinking something out of a bottle.
"Hi." I said.
"Hello." Her face beamed with happiness. She stood up to hug me. It was shocking and surprising.
I didn't hug her back so he frowned a little.
"What are you guys doing here? How did you guys know this place?" She asked.
"Stella told us and yes I just want to be friends. I used to admire you so I lied about being a werewolf since I knew you liked werewolf." I lied and Payne grunted.
"That's crazy. You could have just talked to me you know." She said.
"I was shy." I concluded.
"You don't look like the shy type." Stella added.
"Let's order pizza." Zoe suggested.
Stella got to her phone and called God knows who.
In no time a guy arrived and brought a big box. Stella dropped it on the center table and opened the box. We all sat around it and began to eat. They have lots of good food here in Iowa.
"When did you start admiring me?" She asked.
"Ahmmm." I stammered. I was really bad at lying.
"Last year." I said.
"That's really far." She smiled.
"Which college did you attend?" She asked.
"So many questions." I said,smiling so as not to make it rude.
"I'm sorry. Sorry for making you uncomfortable." She apologized.
"Its okay." I said and continued with my pizza.
Stella kept clinging on Payne which made him so uncomfortable.
I stood up and sat between them.
"Okay now?" I asked Payne.
"Thanks bro." We shook hands.
Zoe bursted into laughter.
"Sorry Stella." She continued laughing.
Stella eyed me. She looked so furious. I feared she would break the bottle she was holding on my head.
Zoe stood up and held my hand. She took me to her room. I sat on her bed like I owned it.

"Let's leave Payne and Stella alone." She said.
"Is that why you brought me here?"
"No. Not at all." She nodded negatively.
"I just want to know more about you."
She sat down beside me.

The scent was really strong "She is my mate no doubt."
"I'm feeling dizzy." She said.
"Do you want to lie down?" I asked.
"No. Anytime I'm with you I I get this strong scent. Its really weird but I feel different like another person." She said,one hand on her head.
"I don't why." I said plainly.
She rested her head on my shoulder.
"You know its weird how the pain has gone."
"Really? You mean you don't feel pains anymore?" I asked.
"Yes.No more pains. I know its weird and I'm not lying just to get close to you." She said.
"Its okay. So tell me about your self. Your childhood etc." I asked,trying to start a conversation.
"I know nothing about my childhood. I've forgotten everything." She answered.
"How? How can someone forget her childhood?" I was surprised.

"Well I'm sure my childhood was not as beautiful as a normal child should be maybe that's why God made me forget." She smiled. Her smile is a killer I had to admit that.
"How about you? What was your childhood like?" She asked.
"Mine was beautiful. The best actually." I noticed her reaction so I stopped for a while.
"Wished mine was like that." She smiled again.
"Mine wasn't all that good. I had someone who wouldn't stop pestering me and we were always fighting." I said.
"Was he a bully?"
"No. It wasn't a bully issue. I guess it was more of jealousy or hatred."
"Wow! That's too much."
"How about your mom and dad?" She asked again.
"I just lost my dad and I lost my mom at a tender age." I said.
"I'm sorry. I don't even know if my parents are alive or dead. All I know is it was my 12th year birthday and I had celebrated it with Mr and Mrs Boseman, Stella's parent." She said.
"Guess we are a little bit alike." i said and she winked. It was flirty but I like it.

"So should we go out on a date?" She asked.
I didn't know where a date is or what a date was. I only know date as in the date of the day so I just said "yes."
"I'll send you the address. it would be fun I promise." She said.
