Chapter 24

Zoe woke up and tried explaining to me but I stopped her. "You need rest." I explained.
She was shivering so I tightened my grip on her. I felt her heart beat and it was so hard to just cuddle and stare at her when you're having an erection.
"Bad timing."
"Will you let me explain now." She asked but she wasn't looking at me which was really weird.
"Are you scared of me now?" I asked.
"No,why would I be scared of you." She answered.
"Then look at me." I said calmly.
She looked at me and she quickly took her eyes away.
"You always take the lead why are you shy now?" I asked and she chuckled.
"I'm not shy." She raised her head and she looked at me.
I moved closed to her and she took her face to her.
"I'm not shy." I imitated her.
"Seriously,I'm not." She defended herself.
"Okay,okay."
"Can i tell you what I saw now?" She asked.
"Sure."
She explained everything to me and I figured it might be Carlos.
"Is the young girl in her hallucinations her?" I asked myself.
"If she's the one that means she's from Moondor. How come I've never heard or seen her before? Or maybe the girl was another person?" I was deep in my own thought when Zoe's hand reached to my face. She waved at me before I came back to reality.
"I was just thinking." I answered before she could ask.
"Should I take her to Moondor now? Should I trick her?" I asked myself but there was no one to answer.
She released herself from my hug and stood up.
"I better get going now. Thanks a lot Sam." I stood up too.
"Its okay." I said and she hugged me.
We went downstairs and met Stella sitting alone. Her jaw was resting on her palm.
"where's Payne?" I and Zoe chorused.
"He ran away." She stood up and grabbed her purse.
"Is she okay now?" Stella asked me in the nicest way ever.
"Yes,I guess." I looked at Zoe.
We went outside and I waited till they saw a taxi and left. Few minutes after they left Payne came in.
"I hate that Stella girl." He said.
"I didn't ask but yeah I hate her too."
We both sat in the sitting room and I explained everything Zoe said.
"That means she's from Moondor." Payne said.
"Thats what I thought but if she is I would have heard about her or seen her before." I said.
"That's true. Maybe she's having hallucinations about someone else." Payne rubbed his chin.
"Why would she be seeing things about someone else. She told me she has no memory of her childhood,what if that's what she just saw?" I asked Payne but he was just blank. Blank expression.
"Its crazy I know." I stood up.
"Its not crazy. Its complicated."



*****Zoe******
I told the driver to drive us to campus.
"You still want to go to school?" She asked.
"I just need to grab some books from the library." She said.
"No. You are not going there. Do you want me to call Sam?" She threatened.
"No. I ormoise I'll just take the books and leave." I begged and she accepted.

We got to school and we went straight to the library. I grabbed two books from the library and left.
We were already walking back to the main road when we saw Anderson. We exchanged pleasantries.
He asked of my whereabouts and was sad that I don't reply his text.
"I'm sorry Anderson,I don't like you. I like someone else." I informed him.
"You are in love with some maniac who knocked me out yesterday." He yelled.
"Stop it! Its non of your business who I fall in love with." I yelled at him.
Stella collected the books I was holding.
"Let's go." She said.
Anderson grabbed my hand.
"Let me go." I struggled with him and Stella too tried to help but he was too strong.


Suddenly his face changed to the old man I saw in my hallucinations. I punched him in the face and he released my hand. We both ran away and got into a taxi as fast as I could.

"Why did Anderson change to that old man?" I was shivering at this point.
We got home and Stella helped me walk in. She laid me on the bed but I was too scare. I followed Stella wherever she went until she finally laid on the bed beside me.
"Should I call Sam?" She asked.
As much as I want him to come over,I didn't want to be selfish. He has been with me since morning without complaining. He has his own life to live and I shouldn't stress him. I'm not even his girlfriend yet.

I tried to sleep but I couldn't. The image of Anderson changing to that man kept reappearing.

After a while I saw a man in the room. He was in a black robe and he looked really pale. He looked really handsome. His beauty is out of this world. I admired his silk hair but how did he get in. I tried to stand up but I couldn't.
He walked towards me. "You can't get away from me Zoe. You can't." He tightened his fist.
"You are mine. Only mine." He came closer and his face changed to the old,ugly wrinkled man. I screamed but I couldn't move. Stella held my hands but I couldn't hear what she was saying. It was inaudible.

The man moved closer and closer and I was scared.
I kept screaming. "Please don't kill me. Please don't kill me." I begged for myself.
The man laughed and the image of how the girl's parent was killed appeared again. This time it felt as if it happened in the room.

Blood was everywhere. "I'm coming for you Zoe. I'm coming." I held my head and screamed.
"Please leave me alone. Leave me please." I yelled.
"I don't want to die." I begged.
I soon felt a strong hand grabbing me.
"I'm here Zoe. Just calm down."
