Chapter 28

"What's wrong?" I stood up from my bed and walked to the living room.
"Nothing. Just Anderson outside." She settled on the chair.
"Let me go check on him." I said.
"We'll move away from here soon." She said and I turned to look at her before going outside to check on Anderson.

"Hi." I greeted him and shut the door behind me.
"Hi." He replied.
"I've been calling you all these while you didn't bother to reply or check on me. You haven't come to school in like two days." He explained.
"There's a lot on my head." I said.
"That you couldn't call. You saw me the last time,screamed and ran away like you saw a ghost." He said.
"You saw something more scarier than a ghost." My subconscious added.
"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry." I apologized.
"Is that guy your boyfriend?" He asked.
I knew he was talking about Sam I just decided to play dumb.
"Who?" I asked.
"The guy I got in a fight with. Sam or whatever he is called." He said.
"He is my friend." I said.
"Let's just go in." I said and we walked in.

After talking for a while in the house,he left and as I came back after escorting him Stella attacked me.
"I thought you love Sam?" She asked as she sipped the juice from the juice box with a straw.
"I do." I acknowledged.
"Then why is Anderson here?" She asked again.
"I don't know but he'll be useful." I smiled at the plan which was developing in my head.
"That smile is mischievous. Hint me." Stella winked.
"I'll just try to make Sam jealous by using Anderson,maybe he'll ask me out." I said.
"Cool but what if Anderson falls in love with you?" She asked.
"Its his loss. I'm sorry but I have to use him. I love Sam and I can't afford to lose him." I said.
"Yeah whatever, if you get Sam please help me with Payne,I like him." Stella begged.
"I've heard but you need to calm down. I hope he doesn't hurt you like your exes have."I said and we gisted about school and everything.

I went into the room to take a pen and a book to do my assignment. I had taken my book but when i stretched to get my pen it levitated and came straight to my hand. I dropped the pen immediately. I rubbed my eyes several times.
"What just happened?" I asked myself.
I dropped the pen and it didn't happen again. I must be in a dream or I must have been hallucinating.
"How is it possible that the pen that was on the table suddenly disappears to my hand?" I asked myself and it seems to me that I'm going crazy. This is how people end up in the psychiatric hospital. I walked the sitting
room to tell Stella but I couldn't. I didn't want her to think I'm crazy too.

I and Payne arrived from Moondor and back to Eleanor's house after leaving for three days. We had to leave because of the full moon and we had to check the kingdom. Though the full moon is still out but we can control ourselves now.

I checked my phone and I had received so many calls from Zoe. I didn't inform her I was travelling. I'm sure she might have been worried about me. I dialed her number but it was switched off.

"Zoe's number is switched off." I said.
"Let's go check on her. I hope she has not been kidnapped." Payne said.
"I hope not." I said and we went off to Zoe's house.

Anderson has been a cool company since Sam left for the last three day without calls or messages.
We went out to different places,restaurants,clubs etc. It was so exciting and fun but all the way I couldn't stop thinking about Sam. "Was he okay? What if he is not okay?" Some many thoughts but I just prayed and had faith that he'll be alright.
I was walking back home with Anderson who was making silly jokes when I spotted Sam from far away. He was in his normal black black outfit then a green leather jacket which shone from afar. The sun graced his black curly hair. I was really happy to see him. In fact I wanted to run to him and hug him but no. "I must make him jealous." I held his arm and smiled.

I and Anderson stopped in front of my apartment.
"It's time now." He said and his put both his hands in his pocket.
"Bye and take care." I hugged him and he hugged me back. I went inside and sat down waiting for Sam and Payne to knock on the door. I waited for a very long time but I got nothing. No calls,no messages.
"I knew it. I told him too much. He must think I'm crazy." I said and my pendant glowed. I stood up amazed by it.The light was really bright and I wondered why. The breeze blew gently and my hair flung in the direction of the breeze. Things were getting creepy. I lifted my hand in midair and the wall clock moved from the wall and came close to me.
"This is magic." I whispered.
The energy became strong. My heart was beating fast and my hand was shaking. I had the feeling to destroy. My mind,my head,it was as if they were programmed to destroy. Soon I heard something shatter. The pendant stopped glowing and the wall clock was on the floor,shattered and lying lifeless.
"How did I do this?" I put my two hands on my head,glaring at the wall clock.
"What sort of hallucination is this? What is happening to me?" I yelled.
I was already sweaty and crying as I sat on the chair and rested my elbow on my knee when Stella came in.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"Sam!!!!!" I just kept calling Sam as I held my head. I was scared,confused and going crazy.

We stooped at the market to buy some ingredients for Eleanor then we walked to Zoe's place. We were about to reach when I saw her hugging Carlos/Anderson.
"I've gone for just two days and she's already hugging another man." I said and looked at her with disgust. I twisted my face as if I had smelled something horrible.
"Doesn't she know that's Carlos?" Payne asked.
"I don't know if she knows. I'm trying to save her from death but she keeps moving close to it." I said.
"Maybe we should tell her." Payne suggested.
"No. You shouldn't. We shouldn't risk our world to these humans. They are useless just like Zoe." I said and turned back.
I stopped a taxi and we both got inside.
"Moving machine." Payne whispered as he looked at the window to enjoy the view.

We went back home and met Amelia sitting in the living room watching the television with Eleanor.
"You again?" I yelled.
"What? I didn't see you for two days. I thought you had gone to that pretty Aunty's house." She said.
"You mean Zoe?" I asked.
"Whatever her name is." She said and stood up to hold my arm.
"Its none of your business if I go to her place. Take this to the kitchen." I sent her.
"You don't want me around but you send me on errands." She stomped her feet on the ground before we finally left.
"Sam! Let me take you out. it would be fun." She said and Eleanor laughed.

"No. Don't you have a home? Or parents?" Payne intervened.
"I'm an orphan." She confessed.
"Oh. I'm sorry. We'll go out with you then." Payne agreed and I glared at him.
"No,not you just Sam." She folded her arms.
"Fine. I'll go. Only because you said you're an orphan. No strings attached." I said.
"There'll soon be strings attached." She murmured.
"In your dreams." I said.
