Mia's POV
"Mia can you hear me?"
I woke up shocked and my breath was fast and heavy. I ran my hand through my hair and looked at the clock on my bedside table. 7:32am. I groaned and got out of the pristine white bed.
The marble floor was cold on my feet as I headed for the bathroom to shower and get ready for the day. It had been 3 weeks since we arrived here and almost everything is blinding white. We have all fallen into routine and each day is the same.
Michael was given a job working in the palace as a guard and from what I can tell he loves it. And he looks hot in his uniform. I have been given my job too.
I'm the Queen of the realm.
At first I struggled to get the grasp that I'm actually a queen and I have asked many times how it is possible of that but I never got a straight answer. Today though is the day I find out as Sabrina has agreed to show me. Whatever that means.
After a quick shower I did up my hair in a messy bun and pulled on my white robe with red belt. The official robe of the royals.
Stepping out of my room 2 guards assigned to look after me bowed and took their places behind me as I headed to the throne room.
As always there were guards bowing to me as I past and I looked at the floor messing with a strand of hair that came loose. I could never get used to this.
Finally we reached the throne room and the guards took their places at the door and I entered to see Michael standing at his post near a huge golden throne that stood in the middle of a stage. Above the throne was a banner that held the symbol of the realm.

I never understood that symbol but apparently its the crest of my family.
I smiled at Michael as I sat down to wait for Sabrina.
"Your Majesty would you care for some breakfast?" One of the guards asked me.
"No thank you." I replied and heard Michael tut behind me. "Its not very nice to tut at your queen." I whispered to him and playfully bit my lip.
"Well maybe the queen should start eating more." He whispered back and I saw him smile.
"Why don't you make me?" I challenged.
"Why don't you..."
"Your Majesty." The first guard interrupted and I had to hide my annoyance as I turned to face him only to see Michael snigger. "Sabrina is waiting for you in the gardens."
I sighed and stood up and I noticed the guard looking at Michael with a look of disapproval. I smiled and went to Michael first.
"That guard doesnt seem to like you talking to me." I purred.
Michael grinned. "That would be the head of the guard and my boss. He clearly doesn't like that I flirt with his Queen."
"Well let's give him something to hate." I leaned up and kissed Michael full on the lips and melted into his embrace as he wrapped his arms around me putting one hand on my back and the other holding my head.
His thumb stroked my cheek and I pulled away panting.
"I've missed you so much." He said and kissed me again. This time he was the one to pull back. "Go on your Highness. Go to the mystical graveyard or where ever that woman is taking you." He smiled and I kissed him quickly again and almost skipped to the door.
Just before I left I winked at Michael and saw the guard march over to him. I giggled and left to find Sabrina.
Michael's POV
I watched Mia leave and I knew I had the stupidest grin on my face as she winked and went off to find Sabrina.
I saw my boss matching over to me and I sighed. Here we go. I thought to myself.
"What the hell are you playing at!" He shouted in my face and I just stood there. "You are here to protect the Queen not flirt and kiss her whenever you please! I don't know who you think you are but you aren't to do that again do you hear me!"
"Yeah I hear you but I ain't gonna listen if I want to kiss my girlfriend I will. Besides she kissed me first."
I watched the guards face drop for a moment before he regained his posture and smirked. "You really think I'd fall for that punk. I know you aren't with the Queen if you were you'd be on the throne next to her."
"Well that just goes to show that you don't know anything. Now if you'd excuse me I'm meant to be signed to look after her and Sabrina." I smiled and walked past him and out the doors.
I knew I wasn't to look after her but I wanted to get away from that prick besides I had a plan to do while I was free off duty.
Tonight when Mia gets back I will give her the biggest surprise of her life.
