Mia's POV
He was dead. He couldn't be dead. He was my brother. Dalton. He'd come back for me and died because of it.
I felt someone kneel down beside me and I looked up to see Sabrina. She took my hand and then looked up into the sky.
"Dalton isn't dead Mia. Just close your eyes and concentrate. He's here. The vessel may have died but Dalton lives on in his true form. As an entity."
I took a deep breath to calm myself down and I felt him. I felt the cold spot of where he was.
"Dalton?"
I'm here Mia I told you I'd never leave you.
I laughed and felt new tears run down my face as I stood up and faced the crowd that had gathered around us.
The guards looked uneasy with their hands on the handles of their swords and the guests were whispering amongst themselves.
"I do apologize everyone. This is not a very good start to the day however I can assure you that everything is fin...."
I was cut off by a sharp pain followed by a thousand screams. I looked down to see a sword sicking out of my side and I could see the blood flood my clothes.
"Miss me bitch." A voice sneered behind me. "Because I'm sure as hell not going to miss you."
Derrick.
I fell to the ground and just as I blacked out I saw all 40 guards run towards us. Some at Derrick some at me and others at the portal edge.
"Mia... No Mia! Wake up!" Michael's voice faded away and everything went black.
Michael's POV
I held her body in my arms as her blood covered my hands. The guards had arrested Derrick and were keeping him in the dungeon.
"Sabrina please say you can fix this. Please help her." I sobbed and clung to her body. I could still hear her heatbeat but it was weak.
"We need to get her to the sick bay." Sabrina waved her hand and Mia's body started to drift upwards. I'd almost forgotten that Sabrina was one of the most powerful witches. (Just gonna point out that this has nothing to do with the show/book Sabrina the witch its just a coincidence) I followed behind them as they headed into the palace.
"Please everyone remain calm and return to your rooms. I will have full room service for all but until we can be sure that no one else comes through the portal I don't want anyone outside. For your own protection please stay within the palace." I announced to the guests who were still standing shocked as to what they saw.
Until Mia was fully recovered I would be left in charge as standing king then after our beautiful wedding I will be king but I shall leave it up to Mia. I know that people have been whispering about what it would be like when I'm king.
Especially since I'm a vampire. In tradition the king is the one who rules not the queen but I won't be like that. If I'm going to break tradition by being a vampire king in the realm of entities then I might as well go full out and break every other tradition too.
This is Mia's land not mine and she will be the most amazing queen and wife.
I hadn't noticed that I had walked into the sick bay until I heard the beeping of the machine hooked to Mia. Her heartbeat was so weak and I was so scared of losing her.
I felt a cold chill around me. "Hey Dalton I'm glad you were able to make it to the wedding." I smiled to myself and held onto Mia's hand.
"Michael I... I can't find anything to heal her. My spells and remedies are for skin wounds but she's bleeding into her lungs. The sword pierced straight through." Sabrina said slowly and her voice cracked.
"No you have to help her. Please Sabrina try something, anything." I couldn't lose her there's no way I can lose her. We were so close to have a perfect life together. "What about my blood. I'm a vampire we can heal."
"It won't work on her here. You might be able to heal the stab wound but it won't stop the internal bleeding." Sabrina shook her head and I saw a tear drip down her face.
I felt the cold spot move against me. It was stronger than before. "Dalton?"
I felt it again. "What about Dalton. He's an entity and linked to Mia I've seen him heal her before when we were in my cabin. She'd fallen and cut herself and he healed her. Can't he do it now?"
Sabrina thought for a moment. "Well yes if I can get him back into Mia's body he can heal her." Sabrina said but she looked unsure.
"Sabrina this is the only chance we have." I reached out and took her hand. "Please."
"Michael in order to do that I will have to reinact the force that brought Dalton out in the first place to reconnect them."
"Electrocution. But that could kill her in this state..." I trailed off unable to finish my sentence.
"I know but its the only chance we have. Once Dalton has been reconnected with Mia I can restart her heart and bring her back." She rambled.
I zoned out. I couldn't handle this. If I don't do anything I lose her but the only chance I have to save her could also kill her.
"Michael in order for me to do this I need your consent. Your her next of kin."
"Do what you have to do just bring my wife back." I left the room unable to watch anymore and as I left I found myself going to her room. Our room.
"Oh god I love you Mia please come back to us." I fell down on the bed and cried. I cried until I fell asleep surrounded by her scent and I dreamt of her.
