20. VANYA: BOUNDARIES

“No!”
Devrim and I both froze at Obsidian’s sudden exclamation.
With a low growl, Obsidian ran both his hands through his hair. The action seemed to snap Devrim out of his frozen state because he wrapped his arms around my waist and scooted backward.
Obsidian’s eyes snapped to us. His hands shot out to grip my knees, stopping Devrim’s movement.
“I. . .I’m not ready for that,” he breathed. “N-not with you on top of me.”
I frowned at him. “I was on top when we had sex in the car.”
“It’s different,” he told me. “In the car, I was the one in control. Here, you are in control. I’m not ready to submit to you.”
The thought of Obsidian submitting to anybody was laughable. I couldn’t imagine him in that position at all.
I nodded, letting him know that I understood.
“I’m sorry,” he apologized as he got up and climbed out of the tub.
Obsidian picked up one of the towels, dried his body, and then dropped it on the ground as he hurried out of the bathroom.
“He’ll be back,” Devrim muttered. “He’s going to use the excuse of securing the house to evaluate what just happened.”
“Did I push him too far?” I asked.
Devrim kissed my shoulder. “No. I think that this is something he needed. Besides, Obsidian wouldn’t have asked me to sit with the two of you if this wasn’t something he wanted to do.”
I turned to lean sideways against his chest. Grabbing hold of his hand, I spread his fingers apart and pressed my palm to his.
“He thinks that he’s going to hurt,” I muttered as I studied the size difference of our hands.
“It’s a real fear, Vanya.” Devrim frowned. “We’re only part human. I told you that the smallest of things can make him snap and once he gets lost in that haze, he won’t be able to tell the difference between you and the person who had hurt him.”
Slipping his fingers through mine, he pulled my hand to his face and brushed his lips over my knuckles.
“Will he be okay?”
“Yes,” Devrim answered. “Obsidian will be back soon.”
I sighed. “Can I ride you?”
“What?”
Rolling my eyes, I sat up and turned around to face him. My eyes slowly trailed down his chest but my shoulders slumped when they locked on his flaccid cock. Once again I had managed to ruin the moment.
“Nothing,” I whispered as I stood.
Devrim grabbed my hips, halting my movements. I raised an eyebrow at him in question.
“You want to have. . .sex but with you on top?” he questioned.
I nodded. “I. . .yeah, but it’s okay.” Pointing to his lap, I smiled at him.
Rolling his eyes, Devrim stood and stepped out of the tub. He walked over to the towel Obsidian had discarded on the floor and picked it up. Wrapping it around his hips, he grabbed another towel and turned to me.
“Where are my clothes?” I asked him when I realized that there wasn’t any waiting for me to dress in.
“Trust me, in a few hours everything that touches your skin will irritate you,” he said.
“I’m just supposed to walk around naked?” I gasped.
Devrim smirked. “Why not? It’s just the three of us here.”
They might not have a problem with walking around naked, but it sure as he wasn’t something I ever thought of doing.
“Stop looking at me like that,” I hissed at him.
The smile stayed on his lips as he followed me out of the bathroom and to the mattress in front of the blazing fire.
My mouth dropped open when Devrim jerked the towel from my body. I spun around, finger raised and lips parted to give him a piece of my mind, but the words died down.
Somewhere between the bathroom and our current location, he had lost the towel. Devrim stood tall and proud with a hand wrapped around his hard cock.
“You said something about riding me?”
“Yeah.” I swallowed, forcing my eyes up to his face. “I wanted to but now I would rather watch you jerk off.”
His smirk widened as he moved closer to me. Devrim nodded towards the mattress. “I’ll show you if you show me.”
Giggling, I stepped onto the mattress and dropped to my knees. I rearranged some pillows before I turned around to face him.
Devrim dropped to his knees in front of me and grabbed my ankles. I gasped when he jerked me closer to him, making me lose my balance and fall onto my back. He came down on top of me, lips capturing mine as his hips settled between my parted legs.
“I changed my mind,” he growled. “I would rather be buried deep inside you.”
“You can’t fuck without condoms,” Obsidian said from somewhere in the house.
With a groan, Devrim dropped his face to my chest. “I pushed it into one of the bags.”
“Which one?” I asked, fully intending to get up and search for it.
“I can’t remember.”
I hooked my feet over the back of his thighs and slipped a hand into his hair. The mattress dipped seconds later, making my eyes snap open. I watched as Obsidian lay down and rolled onto his side to stare at us.
“Are you okay?” I asked him.
“I’m not sure.” He frowned. “We need to set boundaries, Vanya.”
“Okay.”
He moved closer. “I like it when you touch me, but I need you to warn me. If you give me a warning before you touch me, I’ll know to expect it so it doesn’t catch me off-guard and I accidentally end up hurting you.”
“I can do that,” I whispered. “Can you tell me what part of your body is okay to touch without any warning?”
Obsidian’s eyes darted over my face. “My. . .hands, and my arms but not my wrist.”
“Thank you for letting me touch you,” I told him.
He grumbled something that made Devrim raise his head to look at him. They stared at each other silently for a few seconds until Obsidian growled at him as he got up.
Disappointment hit me.
Obsidian said that he was fine, but maybe I had pushed him too far and he was only lying to stop me from worrying.
“Hey.”
I blinked and focused my attention back on Devrim. He was hovering over me again, eyes darting over my face.
“Everything’s okay,” he whispered.
I blinked as tears filled my eyes. Reaching up, he brushed his thumb underneath my eyes.
“I don’t know why I’m crying.”
“Things haven’t been easy the last few days,” he said softly. “It’s understandable for you to be so emotional, rosebud. If you want to cry then cry, I’m not going to stop you.”
“I wish I was like you.”
“Believe me,” he breathed, “you don’t want to be like us.” Devrim pressed a kiss to my nose. “You don’t have to be like us to be strong, Vanya. You are a fucking amazing woman with a big heart. You are incredibly strong just as you are. And unbelievably sexy too.”
Smiling, I reached up to pull his face down to mine. “You’re sexy too,” I whispered against his lips. “All three of you are.”
The mention of the three of them reminded me of the fact that Ezra wasn’t with us. They could’ve killed him and we wouldn’t even be aware of it.
Devrim sighed as got off me. I turned onto my side but before I could curl into a ball and wallow in all my worries, I was pushed onto my back again.
Obsidian growled down at me. “No more tears.”
“Now I’m not allowed to cry?” I hissed at him.
“I didn’t say that.” His fingers wrapped around my knees. “No more crying tonight.”
“He—” My words were cut off by his low growl.
Obsidian leaned over me. “I don’t like seeing you cry, sweets. It drives me fucking crazy.” He leaned closer. “Your tears make me want to kill the one who caused it and you don’t like it when I kill.”
“No, I don’t like it,” I whispered.
“I told you that Ezra’s going to be fine,” he growled. “He’ll be with us before you know it.”
He sounded so sure of himself but his eyes told me a different story. Obsidian might not show it, but he was starting to get worried about Ezra too.
Licking his lips, Obsidian hesitated a moment before he kissed me. It was short and not nearly what I needed but I took what he gave because he laid down at my side again and wrapped an arm around my waist.
“He’ll be fine,” he repeated.
Devrim settled on my other side and rested his head on my shoulder as he wrapped his arm across my lower stomach. His fingers brushed over my hip bone but the growl that fell from Obsidian’s lips assured me that he wasn’t just touching my skin.
I had two of my mates with me and I should be happy about it. I hoped that Ezra was okay.
