MELECIENT

A cold night, a lucid moon, everything was a perfect image. A cold night gives us ever more reason to grew closer. And that was the image of me and Asmodeus. I know he was a demon and not just an ordinary demon. A king of demons. I never blamed him to cover who really is but even though I was hurt because I know that we aren't meant for each other. We were both different, way too different but I was then starting to love him.



My father warned me because he had been feeling something different with Vincent (Asmodeus). I ignored his words instead I continue seeing him in our secret place even though I also love Eris. I love Eris since then we were child and until now but being with Vincent hits something different to me. Not until then I had knows his true self. And I found out just then that I was pregnant. And now that my daughter in on the line I need to do something. Even though it takes my life out and my service as an angel. I am now a fallen angel and I accept everything not only then that I save my daughter. I can feel that she is now safe and also I doubt that Eris is the reason behind this. And I thank him for that.



"What are you thinking?" I was startled when someone spoke behind my back. I was surprised of his sudden appearance. I haven't seen him for months because he was punished by the gods for raising a daughter like me and now after seeing him like this I can't help but to feel guilty. So much guilt in heart that is trying to eat me.



"Father," I almost whisper calling him and there was sting down in my throat that I can explain the pain. Sting liquid were at the lid of my eyes. I am in tears . I can't bear to see him. I do not deserve being his daughter. I averted my eyes and decided to walk away but he stopped me with an embrace. There I burst into tears.



"Father," I sobbed and buried my face in his chest.



He hushed me by combing my hair using his hand. "Hush now my princess. It is not your fault. No parents can just let there child in different situation. I love you and I will everything for you. Right now I was given a chance to come and see you. I only have few days just to be with you. How have you been my child?" he asked which makes me look at him in sadness. How grateful I am to be his daughter. I am thankful enough for him to be my father.



"Few days? And then you will go back where you came from?" I asked and he nodded slowly with sadness in his eyes. Yet he forcibly smiled that didn't quite reach his eyes.



FLASHBACK

"Why would she received a black card?" a deep voice asked the woman who is holding her glass while looking at the window.



"You are one of the deities and you are asking me on why? You should probably know this kind of thing because it is our job to know everything," she snarled while gripping her glass as she looks at him.



"Calm down yourself please I was just asking."



"You sounded not," she said and look away from him. She can't stand his eyes, the one who betrayed her, he is a deity but falls in love with a mortal.

"One of us, the deities did this and we all have no idea who did it but one thing is for sure, secrets can never be hidden for a long time. Lissana is supposed to a slice of dead meat and should not be reincarnated, she shouldn't be in that world even though she fully forgot every single thing in her life, unlike Hades. That is why I ordered Hades to get the ring on her finger and give it to me so I can perish it forever. And I hope Hades still believes in my words. Lissana is dead, and one of us reincarnate her, she was reincarnated of being a young innocent child to a lady, maybe because of the deity got a lack of time that is why she was reincarnated in a late of time and memories, memories that are starting to build her up again and because of my stupidity, it was too late for me to know that. How didn't I even notice it? It puzzled me when the reaper received that black card and her name was there," she stated and walk into where he is standing, their eyes were locked into each other and none of them was looking away.





"That was a bit of conclusion you have there Melecient," he said and took a glass of wine into his lips.

"You know before dripping all away from your information I came up of thinking and it puzzled me too. How on earth of the deities like you come up with all of that conclusions huh that well, in fact, you first ordered him, Hades, to get her ring for no reason at all and now lastly because you are recently known that she had a black card. It doesn't make any sense at all, if and only if you already know that this is going to happen at all Melecient, did you, however, plan this? Is it you or me? It should be in reverse, but your final conclusion comes first, right?" he stated not look at her but even though he already knew her reaction, he knows her very well. She was about to say something when she just ignored it and composed again herself from weak to pursuant.



"Why are you like that Eris? It's not like you," her voice solemn as she looks at his face.



"You're the one who is supposed to answer that question Melecient not me," he coldly answered looking her eyes, she can feel the hardness and coldness of his aura, he is the same Eris anymore and she was the one who made it.



"It was just one mistake Eris," her voice cracked she can't help it anymore but to say those words.



"One mistake? Even if it's one or two Melecient, it's still a mistake, it is still a goddamn mistake Mel. It is still hurting me even now, you don't know how badly I am wounded Mel, you don't damn know that. I asked myself again and again by that day I saw you two, am I not enough for you? Is Eris not enough for you? What else do I lack, what else? Am I not still handsome for you? Am I ugly? Is the warmth of my body is not enough for you that you still want to go to someone else? Am I not a good kisser? Do I lack giving you all of the attention? all of my praises? I loved you, I praised you, I was so proud to have you, Mel, I just don't understand why, why the hell you betrayed me!" he stated and there was still a dangerous tone on his voice.



" That is why I am saying sorry Eris, I still love you."



"I don't love you anymore."



She spun around not wanting to hear those words, again and again, she composes herself and stands straight, wipe her tears away and look at the window.



"And I just hope that you're not one of them Eris," she muttered changing the topic and Eris cannot help himself but to smile.



"And what made you think of that Melecient?" he asked and making a cheer to her glass while his lips curved into a devilish smile.



"Because I know you and what you're capable of."



"No, you don't know me and especially you don't know what I am capable of Melecient, if you think you have known me, well think again," he muttered and turn his heels on her leaving her dauntless, she shows no fear and determination in her eyes that she will know the truth but deep in her deity heart, it was sunk and ripped again and again. She should hold herself from being too emotional, not again, not again that she would waste a single drop of her tears, he doesn't deserve it but she was beginning to love the pain that she used to. Melecient and Eris was a couple, a famous couple of the deities but one day she didn't even mean to betray Eris, she was found in the bed of Dionysus, she asked for forgiveness and especially to Eris whose the one who found them. She was forgiven and accepted but not again loved, she regrets those days and then, in the end, she found Eris falling in love to a mortal, it was forbidden for them to go in the ground and pretend to be a human and love a mortal but Eris is different.









Out of nowhere, there's a pair of eyes who are silently watching them.



"I love this scene and I love the way they lie to each other," a wicked smile curved into his lips and look at Melecient who is still looking on where Eris walked.













"I was a fool by then."
