SEVEN

After we had talked she excuse herself to go to her part time job and told me to stay whenever I feel like it. She wanted to work one last time before she files her resignation letter. Her face lit up with excitement but I know in her heart the fear lingers in her soul but she holds it like a fighter.

She's making herself get ready for the battle of her life but what she doesn't know is that she will not sign a contract for her soul. I will not collect her. It will be a burden for my side to take this kind of decision but what can I do?

I took a step into it now and I am not the man who is backing out of what I have been said. Maybe there is still into me the aspect of letting out of the words and be responsible of it.

I waited for her to go to her work before vanishing myself out of her place. There is inside of me telling me to further investigate about this girl. Why do devils are so eager to search for her. And not to mention that from the first time that I saw her she looks very familiar to me and my heart winced in pain. And that day I started dreaming of uncertain things that makes me feel connected with it.



I took myself into the tallest building that I know to think. What the hell did I get myself into? No one should know this.





Even those twins. Those twins are dangerous and they will do everything for her to sign a contract and what's more bothering for me is what will happen to this girl if ever she will get caught. I had to do my investigation. Maybe there is a reason after all why I am here in this realm.



The wind blew with a powerful passion and the clouds starting to turn into grey. I look around and sense that something is wrong. It's about to rain.



"Knight," someone spoke behind me causing me to look to where the direction that I have heard it.



And there I found a man in a grey fitted silk pants and shirt. Yet he don't wear anything in his feet but he is floating in the ground yet walking slowly into my direction.



"Gale," he called again causing me to scowl. Something is really up and I am starting not to like it.



"Who are you?"I muttered under my breath but I am sure he could hear it. This atmosphere is familiar. It's an ambiance of an angels realm.



"You may not remember me and being here is restricted but I took the chances because I can't stand it any longer. If no one will do something about it, this present will be a history and history doesn't repeat itself it's the people who repeat it and maybe the gods," he stated which makes me bewildered.



A lot of questions running though my mind. Who is this guy and why does it seems like he had known me for so many times? It looks like from the words and how he could talked to me is like he knows my whole being. Who is he?



"I am Eris, one of the gods up there and probably now they are searching for me but I will take this opportunity whatever it takes even if I will be punished and put to end," he said and lifted his hand and put it on my left shoulder.



A sudden thunder uproars the city. Lightning and shower of rain. A total of darkness and my eyes comes into blurry. A strong wind is like trying to blow me away but my feet still on the ground. I can feel the heaviness of his hand but I know it isn't heavy as that.



The rustle of the wind and the roar of thunder gone and even though I wanted to open my eyes I just couldn't. I feel like I am floating in the air with a heavy shoulder.





"King Helios."

"It's twelve in the night Prince, it is such a catastrophe for you to be here at this time. May I know why?"

"It is none of your business, it doesn't bother me what time is it. I am the one who runs my time."

"No wonder your little wife is alone."

"What are you talking about?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to get what I own, you'll see."

"You bastard, you don't own anything!"

"How are you sure of that my prince?"

"I'm going to get your head off, but I hope not."

"I will come back...and in afterlife you will see yours."

"Hope is a bitch."



A scene appears in front of me which looks like I am part of that memory. Whose memories are these? Why does it feel like it is part of me?





"Knight are you sure about this? Is there no other way to solve this out? Don't give me a damn Knight, Hades and you are-"

"Don't start Antarteces, just do what I have told you. I didn't keep you to pry, molest, tamper things on my plans."

"And why sudden call me by my name huh Antarteces?"

"Forgive me Master it won't happen again."

"In fact it is okay but you're the one who insists calling me that and I'm just used to it besides it's not like you didn't scream my name in the past."

"In the serenade of the black, the stars are a choir, they are lights that sing in infinite patterns. Sometimes eyes need music, and the darker the night the sweeter the song."

"If this is putting me into jeopardy, I'll take all of it."





"Antarteces?" I uttered but my lips are not moving. Her face, her face looks very familiar.



And what's bothering is that man looks like me.





"You've changed."

"I never change Helios, I am still the person you know but sometimes when someone will enlighten us we come to see the truth. Only by looking at an object from many perspectives do you see its exact shape and dimensions, and the truth is the same but does it the same? You only look at it, didn't move or touch it, didn't see the back, the secrets behind it. Truth is treason in an empire of lies. So tell me does it sounds familiar with your empire?"

"How dare you to tell that! You know nothing!"

"I know nothing? Maybe now you're the one who knows nothing Helios but one of these days you'll thank me but I'll take your words as an advance. Does the truth imprison us, or does it set us free? Hopefully, you will see the truth in their eyes and words. Some do hear and turn their lives around. Facing the truth about our negative sides is a difficult thing to do. However, none of us can improve without knowing the truth, even when it hurts. If we learn, the truth does set us free Helios, but in my case when you soon know the truth I'll come and perish you.One thing we know for sure, the truth can hurt us but it will make us stronger, it will change us into something we could never imagine but deep of us, we are still the same person just on a different vision."

"Damn you for being who you are now Knight, it didn't even cross my mind that you will be this kind of man you are right now. What did you do with the girls who are missing right now, what did you do to them? You killed innocent people Knight, this is not who you are."

"The girls are fine Helios, I am not the man who you think you are but maybe."

"Don't test me, Knight, once I found out the truth behind all of this I'll forget that I know you."

"You should tell that to yourself Helios, good night."




"Helios?" Why does it seem that I am mad at him? He doesn't wronged with me but why am I full of hatred towards him?





'You're in deep thoughts Gale."

'Yes, maybe, I don't know."

'Angels don't have emotions as far as I know Gale, why I suddenly saw such a sadness in your eyes."

'That's why I am in deep thoughts."

'You consider being a woman now."

'I am just practicing for the additional things that will come behind, Melecient. I will see him tomorrow and I have to prepare myself by wearing as she."

'Oh, you have come to see him and offer a contract, am I right Gale?"

'Yes, a contract and I find it amusing to see a man in need of this contract and he knows us very well and I wonder how did he knows. He was a man that supposed to be non existing a deceased if you may say. But what we all know, a person who had a past, is not connected to its fates present. If he or she is living deceitfully her present will be in a poor status, career, education, living and financially. That is why I am seeing him, but as I saw him last night of his situation, he is living comfortably and he is living with him or should I say serving him."

'So you know."

'You know all along who I am talking about Melecient but why are you pretending not to know, huh?"

'Sometimes Gale, information's like that should not be spoon feeding to you. How would you expect me to react? I was testing you if you know what I mean."





"Wait, he called me by that name, Gale. And I look exactly as him."





'Have you gone into a psychiatrist angel? I don't know where you are getting at huh, you're being so hard to understand I can't keep up with you. Sometimes you're telling words I can't understand you may seem to see me understand your words but puhlease peasy please I can't understand you. Had you gone mad because I didn't sign your contract?"

'There was a time when sunlight bathed the surface of this planet. Rays touching everything at one time or another, boundless, almost endless energy travelling even to the smallest regions of this fragile Earth. What a rich and contrasting world we had lived in. Darkness has taken its stranglehold, squeezing life and consuming our memories, turning them into forgotten lost dreams. I had forgotten mine Helios."

'You're an angel, an angel of death maybe, but why would would your memories being erased?"

'Angels like me don't have names, we only have numbers, the ranking numbers that is why I am seven."

'That shows why, because as the time you have told me your name I came into conclusions on why the heck your name is Seven, it's too cliche you know what I mean? And why you angel of death don't have names by the way?"

'Because we don't deserve it."

'I don't know that angels have emotions."

'Quit thinking on how to comfort me it was written all over you damn face and you jelly knees and toes."

'It's okay not be okay."

'I think I heard of that."

'Are you really a woman?"

"Loving what you see huh?"

'What the fish! Get back to yourself please it's making me cringe it's making me nauseous, you've got me killed!"

'Angels don't have sexes, we can do whatever we wanted about our gender and what I am right now is just an experiment. I just wanted to know if I can carry this gender and can easily lure my client to sign their contract, but apparently you didn't so I am changing my tactics."

'Wait you're changing the damn subject, why is Melecient there?"

'You don't have to worry about that Helios, it's not you business."

'I don't want to use this but I feel sorry for myself."

'Hades and Lissana are there."





"I can change my gender yes I know that but I don't remember this scene."



"Hades and Lissana... sounds familiar. ?I think I have known them."







'Everything has its on way Seven… or should I call you Knight."

'Hey are you feeling okay?"

'Hey, you're pale, drink some water and I'll get you to the hospital."

'Idiot I'm an angel, remember?"

'Oh, right right I am just over dramatic guy."

'Uhm what did you say earlier? Knight?"

'Knight? Who said about Knight?"

‘The lies that I fear most are the ones close enough to the truth to pass under the radar, or else the ones that are so big you'd never dream a person could make something like that up. The half truths lead you away from a trust into a closet xenophobia. The big ones are shock and awe, they just root you in fear so your primal brains start doing the thinking,'

‘Does the truth imprison us, or does it set us free? One thing we know for sure, the truth can hurt. But why do I have this feeling that I must seek for the truth, why does it affect me so much as soon as I heard that name? Knight? Why does it close to my heart? Why does it call me for my soul? Do I have a soul?'

'Why is it that hard."

'Hey, why the damn are always losing blood? You look pale? Are you hungry?"

'Waiter? Can we get our orders now? My friend here can't wait, she needs to eat now."

'What are you thinking? You seem to be in deep thoughts Seven?"

'I was just thinking about the word truth."

'Truth is treason in an empire of lies."
