Chapter 23

The sunshine has warmth in its brilliance, reflecting a shimmer from the ends of Lissana's eyelashes, deep brown though they are. It invites her eyes to rest, so I may see the strong rays even when she appears to be sleeping. It's the sunshine that comes of the year, illuminating summer meadows and alpine slopes all the same. She wishes there was a word for the feeling it brings, for now she is calling it 'sun joy."

The bright sunshine brought us infinite hues of green, the palate of nature an abundance without frontier, each complimenting the other, more beautiful together than alone. It felt as if the light flowed, the energy within as the water in a river, kissing creation alive.

Lissana slowly wrapped herself with the sheet and walked near the balcony window and inhaled the fresh air that nature is giving her. The mansion was beautiful together with the flowers surrounding it. It was all beautiful whenever she turns her eyes. There was no speck of ugliness. She notices that Hades was nowhere of sight, and she guesses Hades woke up early. She felt sore between her thighs, but that was pleasure.

Under the sunshine they kissed every hue into brilliance, an art there for the seeing, for the willingness to pause and be with it at the moment. It brought every rose-hue from the bricks, every green nature given, every tone of water and fire from petals grown over eons. It made her shine too, the warmth around feeling as love within.

'Love," she breathes as the sun rays touch her skin. She remembered the night that they had shared and she confesses her love to him and they both love each other. She loves her stepfather, and she knows that is all wrong. She was a husband of her mother. And people will accuse her on her wrong doings.

'It's difficult to take a step forward when you don't know where your foot will fall," she muttered under her breath and held her hand to her chest. She can feel her heart beating, she was getting anxious at the same time. But she had nowhere to go. She had committed a sin, and she loves it. She closes her eyes to ease her worry and a wind touches her face and the strands of her hair come wave in the air.

'Who made you afraid, my love? Afraid of the future and the past? For neither exist in any place but the imagination, even memory must strengthen you. Thus fear is a kind of madness, but one that is useful if you know how it works. Fear will take you by the hand to the things you keep and guard as precious. Always face fear with courage, understand it, and then let it go. Let these fears wake you up, let them show you the way to your true self, to the brave soul whose love shines like a star. For without fear, love is brighter, stronger, deeper. When you find yourself, my love, you will be your own master, fully healed, and your last fear will be of your own strength," a voice out of nowhere whispered in her ear and she instantly opened her eyes hoping it was Hades. but the voice was different. Sting of fear crawled down on her spine and took a step back. She grips the sheets to her body and her lips were now pale, she must not be hallucinating things. It was a long statement and I knew someone was in the room.

'Who are you to show your face," she whispered and calmed herself, she must now be afraid. Silence fell in the room and there was no response to her question. Is he just imagining things up? Little did she know her ring changed color from violet to white.

'Don't be afraid of my love, it's me, your father," a voice answered and Lissana can't help herself but to cry, she can't even describe why suddenly she is feeling in pain, her heart throbs in pain.

'Papa?" she breathes. She wanted to believe it was her father she misses so much. And the only people in this house are her, Hades and Michael so she can't imagine Hades nor Michael was doing this for a prank.

'It's okay my child, all of this is in your fate, believe and you'll come with these obstacles and in your path memories from your past will enlighten you. I am here to guide you, I love you," a voice answered and tears were streaming in her face as if an angel was talking to her.

Lissana awoke, and sweats were on her forehead, and her eyes were teary. She had been crying from her dreams.

'It was all nothing but a dream," she said through herself and wiped her tears away using the back of her hand. The pain in her heart was still there. She had a dream of her father's voice. Her brain still could not process her dream. She talked to her father in her dream. She wrapped herself with the sheets. As she uncovered her eyes from underneath the covers, she heard the gentle tapping of raindrops against the bedroom window. Seeing the drops trickle down the window brought a sense of calmness within her.

'Oh, gosh, that dream was too real," she muttered and noticed that Hades was nowhere to be seen. Her dreams were like this, but now it was raining. She wrapped herself with the sheets and walked through the closet, she needed to change and she was still naked. As long as she wanted to take a bath to ease the sore between her thighs she decided to go down first and have herself a hot chocolate. She guesses that Hades was there in the kitchen.

'What are you dreaming about?" a deep husky voice startled her from choosing on what to wear. She looked beside the closet and found Hades looking at her, those deep eyes and those seagulls wing eyebrows of him which was making him even more irresistible gorgeous man. It was sexy.

'Hades, you startled me quit doing that please," she said and took a white long sleeve polo that cut in her mid-thigh. It was a comfortable piece of clothes for her.

'Sorry love, you were murmuring, and I was just curious," he said and walk slowly into her direction. Even though they had shared pleasures so many times, she was still not used to his presence. She had the chance to look closely at his face. He was handsome from the depth of his eyes to the gentle expressions of his voice. He was handsome from his generous opinions to the touch of his hand upon my own.

His eyes were a mesmerising deep ocean blue, flecks of silvery light performed ballets throughout. His face was powerful and defined, his features molded from granite. He had dark eyebrows, which sloped downwards in a serious expression. His usual playful smile had drawn into a hard line across his face. His perfect lips. His muscular hands, slightly rough from working, held mine as he stared deep into my eyes. I couldn't help but blush. His smile etched its way back into his face.

A prominent jaw curved gracefully around and the strength of his neck showed in the twining cords of muscle that shaped his entire body; muscular arms, bold thighs and calves, a firm chest and abdomen. He was an Adonis among the other men who each pale in comparison. One look and both women and men swooned at the sight of him no matter their sexual preferences and one word passed from his lips had even the straightest of men flushing shades of red that no one ever knew was naturally possible.

Adonis.

Hades can't help but to pull her to his body. She was still naked at the same time and was holding clothes that she was supposed to wear. The sheets that were covering her body fell down and Hades can't help himself not to smile, a playful smile which makes Lissana blush and pull away from his grip but Hades didn't let her. He was too strong for her, so she just let it be.

His body was warm and toned as he hugged her, comforting to the touch. His voice was deep, with a serious tone. His lips brushed her ear as he spoke.

'I really do love you."
