Chapter 65

Somewhere from the past

The spring day opens with the same gentle pace as the new blooms. The earthy wands of the trees, those limbs that stretch into the sky, are polka-dot green with so many new buds. They have shed their winter covers, the layers they sheltered within, and now bravely seek the sun, renewed in her brilliance. The winter time has passed in its somber majesty from the home of the two people, and the woman there was about to give birth. Having brought us skies of richly marbled greys and trees so elegant in their bare beauty.

On this spring day, Elena sees the flowers that are to colour her world for the warmer days to come, waving in the breeze like a smile born of the cosmos - happiness in brilliant shades. She lets her eyes flow from tree to tree, noticing the buds ready to open into the light, to be as green as flags in the ever-warming wind. The spring flowers ignite an inner smile, that kind that burns warm and long. They are as candle flames, their colours as light in darkness, illuminating our world after the long wintry cold.

Elena was about to give birth to this day of spring and she was happy about it and at the same time Eros was happy too. Elena wrapped herself with her coat and put a scarf on her neck to keep her warm, even though it's spring time the breeze of the air was still cold. The spring flowers give by existing, by being part of nature's song. They give without losing essence or strength, as only natural love can. This is far from the realm of any things - it is instead where giving is a positive force for all, infinite because it also feeds the self.

As Elena roamed her eyes through the surrounding, she can't help not to worry. A deity realm and a human realm shouldn't be like this. It forbids their love. The flowers command a strength, a fragility, a vibrancy, a soft fragrance.

Elena took a deep breath and inhaled the scent of the fresh air and wild flowers that the natures bring.

'Don't worry little one, even though your father and I are in this relationship we will let nothing harm you," she breathes as she rubs her belly. She wonders what time Eros would get back to their house, it's been an hour, and she is getting anxious. She plucks a yellow flower and put it in her ear and smiled as the air brushes her cheek as if it kiss her.

'Don't you get cold my wife?" a deep voice asked which makes Elena jump from where she was standing and held her hand to her chest.

'Gracious how many times do I have to tell you quit doing that, you're making me nervous, you always do that," she said and Eros can't help but to laugh at her wife's reaction. He slowly walks in her direction. His smile would get any woman knelled on their knees.

As he reaches her spot, he cupped her both cheeks and planted a kiss on her forehead, trailing his lips next to her nose and down to her lips. A one stepped in passion that ignites.

'Maybe you forget that I am a deity and I can read your thoughts my wife, but I want you to spill it for me. I want to hear it coming out from your mouth," he stated, and Elena smiled at him that doesn't even reach her eyes.

'I was just worried about us, this," she stated and gesture the surroundings.

'What if one day we will be parted?" her tone was sad and sobbed.

'Please don't cry, your emotions are carrying you," his lips brush hers and hold her hand.

'Meeting you was a fate, being your friend; a choice but I choose to be your lover Elena, that is why I courted you. I find my way to become a mortal in temporary time. And falling in love was bound to happen. You are the one who paints my world. You are the one who keeps me shielded, defends me from the brutality of my soul. Being one of the deities is hard that you could ever imagine my wife. Whatever they will do to me, you are the one I will die a thousand times for. I chose you, and I am willing to repeat the action over and over. A million times over," he stated, and Elena chuckled at his silliness. The way she smiles and laugh makes Eros heart jump and beat faster. He was really in love to this woman.

'It's a match made in heaven. I feel incomplete without you. Every time I look at you, I feel love and inspiration coursing through me. How destiny writes fates, I see. You are my treasure Elena, I know the deities up there know about us, it was written, this is my fate, our fate and no one can stop that. From the very first time our eyes met, I was already longing for you that I do not know why. You taught me to dream fearlessly, that is why I dream about you and look at us now, you are giving birth of my child. I cherish you. Want to spend a lifetime with you. I worship you. I need you by my side, hooking fingers with mine. And together we will face the challenges life gives us. Show me those open and loving eyes of yours, my wife, for they are the door to my own soul. Touch me with those gentle hands and I am made anew, not as clay, but as if my body were reborn in its most perfect form. And so, in this love, there is a deep gratitude, a sense that what it gives is sacred and transient, passing in time into the eternal cycles of living. I will protect you both with my life and I will guide and guard our child until she grows," he longly stated and Elena can't take her eyes off him, her heart melt away from the words he uttered to her, it was sincere, it was faithful and it was love.

Elena touches his cheeks and place kiss on his subtle lips.

'What are we going to name her?"

'Ysabella Dawn."

'The one you should be afraid of...Melecient"

'Why on earth would she be there?" Helios asked as he looks at the angry sky and the clouds were flashing with lightnings.

'You knew her?" instead she answered him with a question.

'Maybe?" Helios looks at Seven while arching his right eyebrow and crossing his arms.

'We don't question deities Helios and we don't interfere with their plans may it be good or horrid and I am not interested besides what will I get with that?"

"Horrid? Then why the hell they are deities? They are supposed to be the pleasant one."

'Look at me, I am the angel of d.e.a.t.h," she smirks as she spelled the last word.

'I exempt you," he says, and Seven can't help not to laugh.

'People say the darkness 'presses in," it doesn't. The darkness kisses up to your skin closer than a mother and whispers excitement into your ears. The darkness is your best friend, it's funny and glib, flattering and cool. The darkness will be your favourite thing right up until it blocks your exits, then it has no reason to hide. If it was easy to spot darkness, there wouldn't be a problem. How often are you confused with day and night? But I can tell you now, if you don't understand your own emotions and motivations, I can't help you. You are a character, this is your story, now what do you want? What do you fear? Know that and you can unlock your own cage and step into the light," out of the blue she said and Helios can't help not to look at her.

'Have you gone into a psychiatrist angel? I don't know where you are getting at huh, you're being so hard to understand I can't keep up with you. Sometimes you're telling words I can't understand you may seem to see me understand your words but puhlease peasy please I can't understand you. Had you gone mad because I didn't sign your contract?" he stated, looking through her eyes as if he was the one who had gone crazy.

'There was a time when sunlight bathed the surface of this planet. Rays touching everything at one time or another, boundless, almost endless energy travelling even to the smallest regions of this fragile Earth. What a rich and contrasting world we had lived in. Darkness has taken its stranglehold, squeezing life and consuming our memories, turning them into forgotten lost dreams. I had forgotten mine Helios," Seven stated and Helios can sense the sadness through her voice and even though she averted her eyes from him, he can feel the loneliness behind those eyes.

'You're an angel, an angel of death maybe, but why would would your memories being erased?" he asked, and he got a little curious about her.

'Angels like me don't have names, we only have numbers, the ranking numbers that is why I am seven," she continued still looking through the glass window.

'That shows why, because as the time you have told me your name I came into conclusions on why the heck your name is Seven, it's too cliche you know what I mean? And why you angel of death don't have names by the way?" he swallowed and seemed to sweat, he knows angels of death have a short temper upon asking tons of questions and they can kill you anytime.

'Because we don't deserve it," she answered, and tears were swelling in her eyes that she immediately wipes it away using the back of her hand.

'I don't know that angels have emotions," he said and can't now look into her eyes. He doesn't know how to comfort people around him, it's making him uncomfortable for not knowing what to do.

'Quit thinking on how to comfort me it was written all over you damn face and you jelly knees and toes," she added and smiled as if nothing happened I guess angels and humans were no difference, we can all mock up and pretend we're okay.

'It's okay not be okay," out of nowhere he had come to a sense.

'I think I heard of that," she smiled and Helios smiled back to her. They seem to forget what was happening to the ocean.

'Are you really a woman?" he asked out of curiosity as he roamed her eyes down to her curves. And when he slowly looks at her face, his jaw drop that he wanted to scream. Her face became a man with the body of a woman.

"Loving what you see huh?" her voice turned into a deep husky voice and he finds it disgusting that he wanted to vomit.

'What the fish! Get back to yourself please it's making me cringe it's making me nauseous, you've got me killed!" he shouted and Seven can't suppress her laugh. And slowly Seven changes back to her face while still holding her stomach and laughing.

'Angels don't have sexes, we can do whatever we wanted about our gender and what I am right now is just ann experiment. I just wanted to know if I can carry this gender and can easily lure my client to sign their contract, but apparently you didn't so I am changing my tactics," she stated and fixes herself and Helios is still looking at her like he can't believe someone was changing faces in front of him.

'Wait you're changing the damn subject, why is Melecient there?" the tone of his voice was deep and Seven can feel his concern, it was forbidden to tell such an information like this and she should not meddle with this. It's a war.

'You don't have to worry about that Helios, it's not you business," she said and she was about to turn her heels away from him when he suddenly grips her shoulders and look through her eyes. He had a power to read her thoughts but using it to an angel like her will cost a day of life him.

'I don't want to use this but I feel sorry for myself," as soon as he said those words his eyes turned to cobalt color and Seven can't take her eyes off him.

'Hades and Lissana are there."
