Chapter 127

THE GODS AND DEVILS

"We are here in the name of yours and ours. As much as I wanted. As much as we love it... as much as I loved it," said the devil dressed in a black modern suit. He was armed with devils in his back and before he can say another word Asmodeus, the king of demons, appeared.

All of the devils makes a way for him and all of them bow their heads as he walks pass them. "I don't love it," he said and his eyes were dark.

The devil who was standing in front of the gods seemed to be afraid and wishes he could withdraw what he had said earlier.

"I know you could not accept this things Vargo but this is just once and nothing more," Asmodeus said and Vargo didn't say a word instead he bow his head and just be him.

Vargo is Asmodeus left hand.

Even the gods are afraid of war. Yes they are gods and their lives cannot be taken away. They can fight with their own might but they cannot have the guts of having people be killed. Child, young ones, old and innocent people will be killed if the war begins.

The god of all the gods appeared which was rare but today was different. Melecient was there standing at the end. Even though she knows everything was fine already she was still nervous and also afraid. Melecient's father is also afraid but he knows Asmodeus. Asmodeus will not break his words.

The hall they are was silent. All of them was waiting for the god and Asmodeus to speak up. They are waiting.

"Today is history. Today we are friends but tomorrow we are enemies. Today is history and I made that history. I have a child of whose blood of mine and blood of yours. I came here to get what is mine. I came here to get my wife, Melecient. I know what will you do to her as soon as we get out of here so maybe I got to get her now. She is now a fallen angel. And she is now in my era. She is mine," Asmodeus said and only his voice can be heard.

After what he had said they are waiting for their god's reply. Silence took over them for minutes and Asmodeus was there standing and waiting patiently.

Asmodeus knows that the god don't want his orders. But there Asmodeus can see his woman, Melecient looking at her. Her eyes tells everything.

FLASHBACK

"What if it didn't work the way you had planned it?" Melecient asked as Asmodeus brushed her hair. It stopped which makes Melecient looked at him.

"Didn't I told you that I was once an angel? he stated which makes her surprised. Yes, she had heard a story of how many angels that the god sent down without a choice for their sins that they have commited.

Those days were cruel that you could not think that it was a god who did it because a god have a soft heart and care for his subject but it isn't as it heard.

There are seven angels who are sent down not in the underworld but instead in the land where humans are. But they were sent in a desert island where there were no food nor water. No people to come help. No trees for shelter and even no rain. Just a sun to heat you up for thirst like for an eternal and a rough wind to remind you how miserable you are.

Those seven angels were sent down like a falling meteorite in the sky. Like a falling star flaming with blue and yellow flame. As they have fallen in the ground they looked monsters. A dark enormous stone like monsters that were full of this black sticky liquid that won't come off from their bodies even if they waggled or crawl in the sand.

The seven angels begged for them to take them back to the angels realm but the god didn't listen to their plea. The seven angels did commit a great sin that even the god could not take it so he sent them to where they are belong. Years afters years and years those seven angels pleaded but those years also starting to fade. They stopped pleading and accepted their fate. They were stones and one night they circled in the ground and looked into each other.

"Today is history and tomorrow is ours." One of them said and that was Asmodeus.

They nodded and together they closes their eyes and curled slowly thereselves as a ball. And in any minutes they burst like a star. And there sparks filled the ground that slowly seeps by the dirt down to the underworld. And now they were called the king of demons.

"No, you didn't tell me," Melecient answered and look intensely in the eyes of him.

"I was once. We were seven. We were seven angels, what a sin number right? A sin number because of us? But no, we didn't planned that. For how many years had passed we finally ended to accept what we have done. It was us, our mistake. We accept our fate. We taste heaven from the first and we taste the bitterness of us now. Balance huh?" Asmodeus said and there was a mocking tone from the last words that he had said.

"The creator destroy us because we corrupted it," Asmodeus said and look at the sky as if the god would hear him but he knows very well.

"Everything is going to be all right, my love. You should not think so much for it is bad for the child that you are carrying right now," he said and that even more surprised her. She holds immediately her stomach and she can feel already the bump in her stomach which was not there from the start. She was shocked, she was surprised because they only kiss and nothing more.

Asmodeus knows what she was now thinking. He smiled and kiss her forehead.

"Calm your heart, it's mine. That was my spirit and you are carrying our child now," he stated which put a smile into Melecient's lips.

She entertwined their hands and kiss his knuckles. "What about our daughter?" she asked pertaining to Antarteces their daughter.

He smiled assuringly in her eyes. "She will be alright. Tonight we are going to visit her," he said that lit her eyes up with excitement.

Asmodeus had never been as happier more than his life. He can still clearly remember the conversation the he and Esmeralda had. The Esmeralda that he had killed already. For he knows what she is planning next that includes his woman and his daughter and that won't happen.

"Are you still into her?" she asked even though it cut her throat to ask those words. Her heart winced in pain and she can feel the hot liquid forming into the lid of her eyes.

A moment of silence took them and Esmeralda can't take the silence so she broke it. She doesn't want to accept the saying of silenced means yes. Probably he is really in a deep thought.

"Okay you don't really need to answer that lame question of mine. Instead we focus on this situation that we are going to welcome. Any time soon the angels realm and our realm will have this battle and that would be a history. We should expect great things that will come ahead right? And I am sure we will get what is yours. We will get your Antarteces. She will be here and reign what is right for her. And of course I will be her guide," she said and he stands from his seat and look at her like an unknown person. It is like telling her to know her place which makes her understand that look but she ignored it. She doesn't want to be feel that way.

"I'm not obligated to tell you everything, Esmeralda," he said and turn his back on her. Gestured her to get out and with a heavy heart she composed herself like she was not felt ashamed but she have to regain her composure.

"You still don't change, Asmodeus."

I am still a devil. A king of demons.

END OF FLASHBACK

"Today is history, Asmodeus. Welcome back, my child," said the creator and look into his eyes. There was light that was slowly fading away that even blink the eyes of Asmodeus.

"I was once your child but not now. You neglected me. The seven of us you neglected are now the king of demons. You called us as the seven deadly sins. Right?" Asmodeus responded and the gods and devils the surrounded them were just silent.

The six other king demons appeared right in front of the other gods and angels. It was Helix, Nevice, Celis, Merhox, Flux, Hades, and Asmodeus. All of their names were sounded in s like a snake in hell or underworld.

The creator smiled at them.

"You want to take Melecient because she is now bearing a child of yours?" The creator said which makes the gods, angels and even the father of Melecient surprised causing them to look at her in her way.

The crowd make a way for her to walk and so she did until she reached Asmodeus direction.

Asmodeus took her hand and smiled at her. Assuring her that everything will be all right.

Yes the creator can kill or terminate in just a second all of the devils even the kings if he wishes but what he thought was this. If he killed them all there will be a next day of the same scene again. Again and again and more people will be killed and that is what he knows for sure. So the creator decided to give what the devils wanted. Asmodeus wanted to get his wife and their child to be safe then so be it.

Eris was about to say something when the creator looked at him which makes him snap from where he was standing.

Eris wanted to stop Melecient from going because Eris knows that Melecient will going to die when Antarteces reached by the age of thirty. It is still long enough to live but if she gets out from this realm she never gets to get back if and only if the creator lets her but Eris knows that it will not happen. The creator knows very well and play the game wisely. If you think you are in an easy tract well your guess is wrong.

Asmodeus looked at the Eris direction and nodded. He knows what Eris is talking about and he does not feel the emotion of jealous because Eris loved another woman and he did not love Melecient, he looked at her as his sister and that was it.

Asmodeus already knew the deadline of life of his woman and he is doing everhthing right now. Every seconds for him counts and the six demons knows about it too and they are ready to help their brother.

"You knew everything. No secrets can be kept," Hades said as his thin lips slowly traced into a thin pale smile.

The devils was most of all the gorgeous ones because they can create their own faces and be this be that. Unlike an angel, yes they are beautiful but they are not like as irressistible as the devils. But angels don't have sexes. They can be a male or a female.

"What can I say?" the creator stated looking at the devil who had given the statement.

"Hades," the creator added with a small laugh. "I did not see you there," he added again looking behind him where Eris was standing and then look again to Hades.

"How was Lissana or Ysabelle should I say? I named her Ysabelle, because the Ysabelle name is given for the person whom I want to be dead. Because those persons are special. Those are the chosen one but I have this god that keeps putting the hindrance of it all. You want me to name that god?" The creator said which makes the atmosphere smell fear but Eris is not.

Eris took a step. His eyes were only at the creator. "There is no need to say my name my God. That is me and only me. Lissana is my daughter and Lissana for me means life. And I want her to live as her heart wants. The house always wins and I know that but I am a father. I have sinned, a great sin which makes me now a fallen angel right?" Eris stated confidently.

"No," said the creator which makes Eris surprised because that is what he knows.

From what is going on it seems like the devils always gets what they wanted. Always gets what makes them happy.

"I have plans for you since you are a god. There will be a time for you my child Eris," the creator said and lift his hand and Eris was blown away. Away, so far away that even the gods have no idea only the creator.

"Ysabelle and Antarteces, these two will be given to the both of you. But time will come that I will get them but not for now," the creator said which makes Asmodeus hands turned into fist causing his knuckles turns to white. But he slowly calms himself.

"Only if we let you take them. We are here to make an arrangement not a quarrel. You have send Eris into the world that you have sent us right? Look at your back," Hades said and the creator looked to what Hades had said.

It was Eris who is now smiling back at him. He flew to where Asmodeus place is and landed.

"He knew it too. Well he is ours now. Counting him as the eight devil," Asmodeus said which makes the creator smiled again. The angels took their swords and the other gods prepared thereselves. The creator stop them by the signal of his hand and slowly shakes his head.

"They are here in peace and just taking what is theirs. Taking the dirt out of us so calm yourselves down. We are the house and we always wins. You can take Lissana, Antarteces, Melecient and Eris. Four persons, four different persons, four person whom I choose in the future. Go before I dispose all of you," the creator said and that was the signal for them to go immediately.

As soon as the devils are gone the gods and angels took a step back because of the aura of the creator. And they were right. The creator screamed at the top of his lungs and that makes an enormous roar which makes a loud thunder and lightning all around the world and stormed the ocean. That was his anger and the devils knows it.

Asmodeus and Melecient were holding each others hand. Even though Asmodeus was brave he was standing there in fear. Fear for the woman that he loves and not for himself. He can carry himself and ready even if it takes him again to dead and dead but he was in fear when it comes to her. Love was the danger of him and the creator knows it and someday the creator will use it to him. But he will do everything, he will think of a plan before it will happen.

Melecient holds firmly his hand and kiss him in the cheek.

"Thank you for saving me and I love you," Melecient said which makes Asmodeus heart put at ease. It seems like all his troubles and anxiety was blown away as soon as Melecient kisses him. It was then he felt the feeling of freedom.

For all the years that he spent of suffering it all pays back at him.

Asmodeus looked at Hades and Eris and he was surprised or maybe he is just wrong because he saw a sparkling water flowing out of their eyes but they immediately wipes it away using the back of their hands and smiled.

They may be a devil now but their heart was true. Even if you are a god or a devil nobody can fight away in the name of love. Love can do crazy things.

"Love can do crazy things," Eris said and Hades just smiled back.

The devils and the other six king demons get to their positions back.

"What and where do you plan next?" Asmodeus asked to Eris which seemed he knows where he is going at first.

He smiled before he lift his feet from the ground. "I'm going to visit her. She is waiting for me," he said but Asmodeus knows very well that his woman is dead. He is visiting her in her grave," Asmodeus nodded and Melecient pulled a red rose from her long hair and give it to Eris.

"Give this to her for it will also be her candle and this is also our pay of visit to her," she said which Eris slowly get the red rose and said his thank you.

"Thank you so much for the two of you. And Hades please I will be gone for how many days or maybe years from now. Please take care of my daughter, Lissana. Tell her I will pay a visit of her maybe one of this days. Tell her how much I misses her and love her. And by the way since I am the father, I have to tell you that right now she is carrying your child and needs you right now. She is pregnant. My baby is pregnant and if it is a girl please name her Calixte Elara or if it is a boy name him Mason. I have to go now," he said and Asmodeus nodded and so did Hades.

Hades will do everything for Lissana. Lissana was his life and he was surprised that his queen was pregnant. He can't wait to get home and embrace his loving wife. If she was pregnant he is willing to break down the necklace of him being an immortal and start living as a mortal, a commoner and live a normal life and make a family.
