Chapter 110 He's perfect for you

When Nora heard Asher's name, she became inexplicably irritable.
She put her glass down heavily on the table, "Can you not mention him?"
"Oh, it seems I was right about that." Nana laughed, "Seriously, Asher is pretty good. I've long heard of him abroad, and when I saw him today, I knew he lived up to his reputation."
"What reputation?" Nora wrinkled her brow and somehow the words Asher had said in the elevator came to her mind.
"Tall and handsome, rich and powerful, he's perfect for you." Nana teased her.
Nora picked up her glass and drank the cocktail down in one go, "Cheesy!"
Nana coughed lightly and said, "My eyes are discerning. You two worked so well together at the press conference that you were perfectly matched. Nora, don't tell me that you don't have a thing for him."
"Cut it out." Nora leaned back and took a deep breath, "There is nothing between Asher and me. As you know, my grandfather insisted that I come to A City and spend three months with him. I made a deal with him that after three months, we would break off the engagement."
Nana shrugged her shoulders, "Well, sis, why don't we make a bet."
"Bet on what?" Nora asked lightly as she leaned back.
Nana smiled, "How about we bet that in three months, you and Asher won't break off your engagement, and if you lose, you'll give me your handmade necklace?"
Nana had been eyeing Nora's necklace for a long time. She had no idea what kind of genius Nora was, who was proficient in everything including clothing design and hacking, and even her own handmade necklace was comparable to a master's one.
The only person who could barely match her was a man as brilliant as Asher.
"Well, you're gonna lose." Nora smiled and said, "Come on, don't keep talking about me. Let's talk about you. Where's your Prince Charming, Theo?"
At the mention of Theo, Nana's eyes dulled. Staring at the glass in her hand, she said gently, "He's gone to teach in rural villages."
Nora was speechless, "Teaching in rural villages... Well, it's also quite meaningful. But is he going to give up on your relationship like this?"
Theo was Nana's senior in college, who was tall, handsome, and good at his studies, and was the talk of the school.
At a debate contest, the two of them had a fierce battle of tongue and thus became lovers.
However, Nana's family did not approve of them being together because Theo lost his father at an early age and his family was poor, while Nana's family was a wealthy family with a good education.
Nana had a big fight with her family and ran away to a foreign country, where she was nearly abused by some hooligans on the street.
It was at this time that Nora appeared in time to save Nana and the two of them became good friends who kept no secrets from each other.
Later, Nora set up Leo Studio and Nana became the head of Leo Studio to help Nora run the studio.
For many years, Nana and Theo spent more time apart than they did together.
Nora said somewhat unhappily, "If his love for you is real, he should go abroad with you and make a great success to show your family that he is able to bring you happiness. What is he doing in the mountains by himself now... I honestly don't understand what you like about him?"
Nana let out a long sigh, "Love is blind. Once I fell in love with him, it's hard to let go."
Nora pressed her lips and was about to say something when suddenly a surprised voice came from behind her, "Hi, Nora, it's been a long time!"
Nora turned around, only to see Levi walking towards her.
"Levi, what a coincidence." Nora smiled slightly.
Levi was a regular customer of Marilyn Bar and he brought some friends over tonight. He didn't expect to meet Nora here, so he ran over excitedly to say hello to her.
"This beautiful woman must be the famous Nana." Levi looked at Nana and snapped his fingers in an exaggerated manner, "I've heard a lot about you."
Nora smiled and introduced to Nana, "This is Levi, a famous young actor."
"Levi, I know him. I've seen him on TV." Nana nodded politely and greeted Levi, "Hello."
Levi sat himself down and looked toward the dance floor, "Nora, Nana, why don't we go dancing together? A few of my friends are over there."
"I don't want to dance now. You guys go ahead." Nora rubbed her temples, feeling a little tired.
Nana went to the dance floor with Levi at Levi's invitation, while Nora sat alone in the corner of the bar.
Looking at the people dancing passionately on the dance floor, the scene of Asher and Brittany dancing together inexplicably came to Nora's mind.
What exactly did Asher mean?
He was saying that he wanted to develop a relationship with her, but at the same time, he was having an affair with Brittany. Was he going to two-time her?
Nora felt a little uncomfortable after having a few drinks fretfully and went to the bathroom.
When she came back from the bathroom, she saw a man in a red shirt who looked like a gangster sitting in the seat next to hers.
When the man in the red shirt saw Nora back, he blew a whistle, "Hey, beauty. Are you drinking alone? Why don't we go dancing together?"
Nora gave him a sidelong glance, ignored him, and grabbed her glass to drink. But she drank too fast and choked.
Nora coughed with an unpleasant feeling in her throat.
The man in the red shirt sized Nora up with hideous intent and reached out to help her, "Babe, you're drunk. Let me send you home."
"Get away from me!" Nora shrugged off the man's hand in disgust.
"Hey, turns out you're hot-tempered. I like hotties." The man had no intention of leaving even though he had been rebuffed.
It would be great if he could take her home and make love to her.
He stared at Nora with lust and greed, "Make a price."
Nora frowned and spoke in a cold voice, "If you don't leave, I'm going to be rude!"
"Rude? Sure, come with me and you can be as rude as you like and do whatever you want." The man in the red shirt pulled Nora impatiently.
Nora stepped hard on the man's foot and he let go of Nora in pain.
Nora turned around to leave, but the man refused to give up. He reached out to grab Nora's arm and pulled her into his arms, "I'm going to have you tonight!"
Bang.
Nora picked up a bottle of wine and smashed it directly into the man's head.
In an instant, blood flowed.
"Bitch, you're fucking sick!" The man in the red shirt obviously didn't expect Nora to attack him suddenly and said with fierce eyes, "Do you know who I am?"
Nora smiled coldly with the bottle in her hand, "Who cares who you are? Why don't you get lost?"
