"What do you mean by that?" Jennifer's face changed and she questioned Nora angrily.
Had Nora just taunted her in the presence of so many people again?
Nora said calmly, "I mean that literally."
"Don't confuse the public opinion. The fact now is that you plagiarized." Jennifer raised her voice and wished that the whole world would know about it.
Initially, only a few people had been aware of the design of "Ice and Fire".
Now that Jennifer had made such a noise, the whole secretary department had heard it.
The colleagues around all looked at Nora questioningly.
After all, Marilyn was way too famous, while Nora was just a little-known secretary.
Furthermore, Nora came from the country. How could she possibly know about jewelry design?
She must have taken the risk of plagiarism for a promotion.
Facing the questioning eyes around her, Nora said coolly, "Jennifer, do you have any other thing to say? If not, please go back to work. Mad barking dogs are not welcome here."
"What?! How dare you call me a mad dog?" Jennifer was furious.
Nora still looked calm, "Did I say that? It was you who said it."
"You!" Jennifer's face turned red with anger.
She took a few deep breaths and told herself to calm down, after all, her purpose now was to expose Nora's plagiarism in public.
Thinking of this, Jennifer snorted coldly and questioned Nora, "Where do you get this attitude? Are you reasonable for copying?
If I remember correctly, the press conference for the launch of "Ice and Fire" will be held in two days, right? Are you going to make a plagiarism scandal for the Hawn Group by then?"
"Jennifer, you're in the design department and it's not your concern about the press conference. If you have time, you might as well improve the level of your design department." Nora said with a trace of sarcasm.
Jennifer's face changed, "I have never seen such a shameless person like you, who has evidently plagiarized and yet refuses to admit it. I'm going to tell Mr. Hawn that you copied L'amour Jewelry and tell him to cancel the press conference."
"Asher has given me full responsibility for the press conference." Nora said with a smile.
"No way." Jennifer laughed mockingly.
She did not believe that Asher had not seen the news about L'amour Jewelry.
As long as Asher had seen it, he would know that Nora's so-called "Ice and Fire" designs were copied from L'amour Jewelry.
Jennifer did not believe that Asher would still hold the launch event as scheduled after he had learned about Nora's plagiarism.
"Believe it or not, that's the truth." Nora didn't want to pay attention to Jennifer anymore. She had a lot of work to do for the press conference in two days after the L'amour Jewelry incident.
There was no need to waste her time with Jennifer any longer.
Jennifer said with obvious hostility in her voice, "Nora, you are so self-righteous. How could Mr. Hawn possibly give you, a plagiarist, full responsibility for the press conference?"
Nora wrinkled her brow and was about to say something when a familiar cold voice suddenly came, "Do you have a problem with me giving Nora the responsibility for the press conference?"
Nora looked up, only to see Asher's familiar figure appear in her line of sight.
"What are you all doing during work hours?" Asher said in a cold voice.
The employees around immediately shut up and went back to their seats, hardly daring to breathe.
"Mr. Hawn." As soon as Jennifer saw Asher, she immediately walked up to him, "Haven't you seen the news about L'amour Jewelry's new collection which is similar to Nora's previous 'Ice and Fire' collection?"
"So what?" Asher frowned.
So what?
Jennifer froze as she heard the words.
It was obvious that Nora had plagiarized. Shouldn't Asher have fired Nora as soon as possible?
She raised her eyes and looked at Asher, "That means Nora's previous designs were all plagiarized."
It seemed that Asher didn't understand, so Jennifer opened the designs posted online by L'amour Jewelry and compared them to Nora's designs one by one.
"Here, here, and here. This jewelry from L'amour Jewelry is very similar to Nora's design of 'Ice and Fire', and the most crucial thing is the idea of 'Follow Your Heart', which is sufficient to prove that Nora copied Marilyn."
Asher gave Jennifer a cold glance, "Why isn't it that Marilyn copied Nora?"
Marilyn copied Nora?
How could that be!
Jennifer bit her lip and said, "Marilyn is a famous designer in jewelry design and has won many awards internationally in recent years. How could she have copied Nora, an amateur?"
"All right, this matter is none of your concern." Asher pulled his tie somewhat impatiently.
Jennifer's gaze was full of reluctance.
It was clear that Nora had plagiarized. But why was Asher helping her?

Jennifer looked up and saw that it was the company's vice president, Jaxson Lambert.
"Mr. Lambert, I'm sorry." Jennifer hastily apologized.
Jaxson frowned slightly, "What's wrong? What happened?"
Jennifer told him about Nora's plagiarism, "I just don't understand what is so great about Nora and why Mr. Hawn shows partiality to her. When he knew that Nora had plagiarized, he still insisted on holding the press conference. Isn't it explicitly going to bring the company into disrepute?"
After a pause, Jennifer added, "Mr. Lambert, you are a veteran of the company, you have to be fair."
Jaxson sighed, "The company is now the world of young people. I don't have a say in the matters."
After Jennifer left, Nora went back to her intense work. She had to make sure that the launch event in two days was a success.
After all, it was all about the reputation of the Hawn Group.
It was time to get off work before Nora knew it.
Asher called her and said, "Let's go home."
Nora looked at the time and shook her head, "I'll work longer. You can leave without me."
"Okay then." Asher hung up the phone.
The night was getting late and Nora was still working on the project.
Suddenly, a familiar sound of footsteps came and Nora's heart skipped a beat.
It was... Asher.
"Haven't you gone home?" Nora asked in surprise.
Asher walked towards Nora with a steady pace, carrying a food jar in his hand.
He placed the food jar on Nora's desk and said, "Your dinner."
Dinner?
Only then did Nora remember that she hadn't had her dinner yet.
But how did Asher know she hadn't eaten dinner? And he even brought her dinner personally?
