Chapter 125 Are you willing to marry me?

"I'll go in and check on Asher," Nora said eagerly.
"But Clark said that no one can go in without his permission." The bodyguards looked embarrassed.
They were aware that Nora was Asher's fiancée, but since Clark had instructed them, they could only do their duty to keep Nora out of the door.
Nora considered for a moment, took out her cell phone, and made a call to Clark.
Clark heard the phone ring, looked down, and saw that it was Nora calling, so he pressed the speaker button.
"Miss Smith, what can I do for you?" Clark asked.
Nora's voice, with anxiety and concern, came from the other end of the line, "Did Asher wake up?"
"No." Clark looked down at Asher, who was lying comfortably in his hospital bed, and said lightly.
No?
Nora bit her lip in disappointment, "I'm still worried about Asher. Can I go in and take a look at him?"
Nora's voice reached Asher's ears word for word.
He had a smile on his sexy lips.
This woman was concerned about him.
Clark looked at Asher for instructions.
Seeing Asher nodded slightly, Clark said, "Please wait a second."
Clark opened the door to the hospital room and saw Nora's slender figure standing in the doorway.
Clark smiled, "Please come in."
"Miss Smith can come and go as she pleases from now on." Clark turned to the bodyguards and said.
"Is Asher okay?" Nora's eyes were fixed on the man in the hospital bed who was still gorgeous even in his "coma".
With his eyes tightly closed and Nora's caring voice in his ears, Asher felt like the softest part of his left chest was gently tickled by a feather.
"Mr. Hawn is fine and is in stable condition." Clark replied.
"I thought I heard him talking just now." Nora stared intently at Asher. She had literally heard his voice just now.
"No, it was the sound of me on the phone." Clark said, shaking his head in a hurry.
"I see." Nora looked thoughtful.
Clark looked at Nora and then at Asher before saying, "Miss Smith, since you're here with him, I'll go back to the hotel, and if you need anything, you can ask the bodyguards at the door. They are all trusted by the president."
Since Nora was here, it was better for him not to stay here bothering them.
"Thanks." Nora smiled faintly at Clark.
Clark turned around, walked out of the ward, and closed the door behind him.
But in his mind, he wondered, "Is the president really pretending to be in a coma just to find out the culprit behind it?
Perhaps his real purpose was to make Nora worry about him.
Sitting by the bed, Nora silently looked at the man lying on the bed with an exceptionally heavy mood.
Tired out, Nora finally could not hold on and fell asleep by the bed.
It was quiet in the ward and only the light sound of breathing lingered.
The man who had been in a coma slowly opened his eyes.
Asher's clear and cold gaze softened when it fell on the sleeping woman at the head of the bed and he smiled softly.
He gently stood up and took a thin blanket from the bed to put on Nora.
In a daze, Nora murmured, "Asher, you'll be fine."
Asher felt a warmth in his heart and his eyes fell on Nora's face in a rare moment of tenderness.
Her delicate and small face had a tired look on it, and her thin lips were slightly pressed and pale. She must be exhausted from all the running around for the past few days.
Asher leaned down slightly and kissed Nora lightly on her forehead, "Everything will be over soon."
The next morning, the sun shone through the glass window, on Nora's face.
It was blinding and Nora woke up.
She was surprised to find that she had a blanket draped over her body.
She remembered that she had fallen asleep in a daze last night. Why was there a blanket on her back?
Could it be Asher? Had he awakened?
With some anticipatory excitement, Nora looked over at the hospital bed.
But the man's eyes were still closed and he was still unconscious.
Nora's heart sank bit by bit.
The memories of the time spent with Asher all came out of Nora's mind at once.
The way he defended her, the way he cared for her, and the way he shielded her from the ceiling...one thing after another lingered in Nora's mind.
"Asher, you can't be like this. Wake up, please. I will do anything for you if you wake up." Nora's eyes reddened and she murmured.
"Are you really going to do anything for me? Are you willing to marry me then?" Just when Nora was lost in thought, a clear and clean voice sounded in her ears as if it was a heavenly voice that was so familiar.
Asher!
It was Asher's voice!
Overjoyed, Nora looked at the bed, only to see the man who had been in a coma suddenly open his eyes.
"Asher, you're awake!" Nora had a bright smile on her face.
Her heart, which had been on tenterhooks, had finally settled down at this moment.
Asher was awake!
He was finally awake!
Great!
Asher smiled slightly and raised an eyebrow as he said, "Do you mean what you said just now?"
"What?" Nora was stunned for a moment before she remembered what she had just said.
Nora suddenly came to her senses when she looked into the smiling eyes of the man in front of her and glared at him in annoyance. She threw her hands at his chest, "Asher, you're faking it!"
Asher grabbed Nora's hand with his big hand and pressed it to his chest, "Nora, do you feel my heart beating for you?"
Touching his firm muscles, Nora's face couldn't help but blush.
This man was so tantalizing!
Nora took a few deep breaths to calm her mind and chilled her face, "Asher, why are you pretending to be unconscious?"
"What do you say?" Asher answered her with a rhetorical question.
Nora pondered for a moment, "Actually, you already have an answer as to who started this explosion, right?"
Asher nodded calmly, "I suspect it was Jones, but there's no proof yet."
Nora understood, "So, you pretend to be unconscious so that Jones will think that his plan has succeeded. When he makes his next move, he will show his true colors?"
Asher, however, did not answer it but looked at Nora with his deep eyes, "Do you really mean what you said just now?"
