Chapter 117 The problem lies in the French factory
"The French factory?" Asher's handsome face was cold and sullen as he asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes." Nora nodded and said with her brow wrinkled, "The test results just came out. Some of the products produced in the French factory do contain radioactive elements."
Asher rubbed his temples and said in a clear voice, "We have been negligent in the French factory before. Now it seems that someone has taken advantage of the opportunity to tamper with it."
Nora thought fast in her head.
As a matter of fact, the management of the branch factory in France was much laxer than that of the headquarters. After all, it was far away and it was much easier to do bad things in France.
Nora said in a cold voice while considering, "We need to immediately find out what went wrong in the French branch factory and where the radioactive elements were mixed in. Even in the French factory, it is not that easy to fiddle the process. It is very likely that there is a mole in our company."
"I'll have someone look into it right away." Asher narrowed his eyes slightly and said approvingly.
Nora compressed her lips and then said in a firm tone, "I want to go to France personally."
Nora believed it was necessary for her to go to France in order to find out the truth.
After all, whoever was able to do evil at the Hawn Group's factory must be rather difficult to deal with.
And as the head of " ice and fire ", she had the responsibility to find out the truth.
"I'll go with you." Asher said, almost without thinking.
Asher wanted to go in person?
Nora looked at Asher in surprise, "You do not need to be in charge here?"
"I'm going to go in person, to show that the Hawn Group takes this seriously, and to give a deterrent to those who are behind it." Asher's deep eyes fell on Nora as he said in a deep voice, "As for the matters here, I will let Clark keep an eye on them."
In fact, there was a more important reason, which was that Asher did not feel comfortable with Nora going alone.
France was so far away and Nora was unfamiliar with the place, and he worried that she would not be able to handle it.
Since Asher insisted on it, Nora didn't refuse him. If he personally went to France, it would certainly be half the effort.
"There is a more important and urgent matter now."
Nora said with her eyes downcast, "We must immediately recall all the 'Ice and Fire' jewelry produced by the French factory, and negotiate with the parties involved in the poisoning incident for compensation, and make sure to meet their conditions so as not to cause further damage to the Hawn Group's image."
The Hawn Group's share price had fallen for several days as a result of the "Ice and Fire" radioactive element incident and it was now imperative to recover the damage.
What Nora said was what Asher was thinking.
Asher furrowed his eyebrows slightly, "Okay, I'll have someone do it right away."
After a pause, he looked at Clark, "Arrange a press conference for me this afternoon."
"Yes, sir." Clark turned around and went out.
"I'll go back to work, too." Nora said, "Shall I book your flight to France tomorrow?"
Asher calmly shook his head, "No, we'll take my private jet tomorrow."
Private jet... Fine.
Nora shrugged her shoulders and then turned around and walked out of the president's office.
Just as she walked out the door, she bumped into a man coming towards her.
Nora looked up and saw that it was Jaxson.
"Mr. Lambert." Nora greeted Jaxson with a nod.
Jaxson, however, only gave Nora a cold glance, then passed over her, and walked straight into the president's office.
Hearing the sound of footsteps, Asher looked up.
Seeing Jaxson walking toward him, Asher greeted him lightly, "Uncle Jaxson, looking for me for something?"
"Asher," Jaxson took out his phone, put it in front of Asher, and said in a reproachful tone, "The share price of the Hawn Group has fallen ten percent in the past few days, do you know that?"
Asher said in a deep voice, "Yes, I will deal with this."
"How will you handle it?" Jaxson frowned at Asher, "We all know why the shares of the Hawn Group have fallen, and it's actually quite simple to fix this."
"Oh, Uncle Jaxson, what do you suggest?" Asher leaned back in his chair and glanced at Jaxson lightly.
Jaxson was Howard's adopted son, who was two years younger than Janson. He had grown up with Janson and the two had become very close.
Later on, he had assisted Janson in managing the Hawn Group and had helped him a lot.
After Janson's death, Jaxson had acted as the president of the Hawn Group for a time, but later, Howard still entrusted the Hawn Group to Asher and let Jaxson act as the vice president.
In the past few years, the Hawn Group had been flourishing under Asher's leadership, while Jaxson had gradually resigned from the leading post.
"Fire Nora as a warning to others," Jaxson said in a deep voice, " As the project leader, Nora neglected her duties and made such a big mistake that only by firing her can we salvage the reputation of the Hawn Group. "
"Is that so?" Asher's eyes turned cold as his handsome face instantly became stern.
Jaxson meant to put all the blame on Nora and make Nora the scapegoat.
In the current situation, it could yet be regarded as a solution to the urgent problem.
But that would not solve the fundamental problem.
Even if the person in charge was not Nora, Asher would not or did not care to do so.
When Asher remained silent, Jaxson handed him a copy of the information, "Fire Nora. This is the unanimous opinion of several members of our board of directors after discussion, and it is signed."
Asher took the information with slender fingers and lowered his eyes to scan it, on which were the signatures of several shareholders, and the one in the first place was Madge.
"This is my mother's intention?" Asher frowned and said unhurriedly.
"It's Mrs. Hawn's intention as well as the intention of all of us." Facing Asher's powerful aura, Jaxson rubbed his eyes and continued, "We have to be responsible to our shareholders. We must solve this matter quickly and recover the loss."
Asher's knuckles were knocking on the desktop and his long and slender legs were casually folded. Although he was sitting, it felt like there was invisible oppression.
He looked at Jaxson and said with a stern and cold tone, "Uncle Jaxson, I agree with you that we have to be responsible to our shareholders and that this matter must be resolved quickly, but the solution to this matter is definitely not to fire Nora."
"Asher, you..." Being denied by Asher at once, Jaxson was a little embarrassed.
He wanted to say something but was interrupted by Asher impatiently, "Uncle Jaxson, I will handle this matter myself. Please go back to your work."
